The billing was absolutely absurd - Kayak offered me a rate of less than $50/day. Budget then added all these hidden fees — like a 130€ “location” fee for renting the vehicle for the airport. The final bill was more than 2x what Kayak had offered me.

It took 2hrs for me to get my rental keys when I landed. I had to wait 1.5hrs just to get checked in and then another 30mins just to pick up the keys after being checked in. Absolutely ridiculous.

Horrible experience sorry I went to kayak and Avis Ft. Lauderdale Avis sucks mistakenly rented from location 1/2 mile from airport Shuttle took us to rental center wrong location Avis agent wanted double the original price I asked how to get to correct location he said Uber or taxi and yes cars there were available Got a taxi went right there haha they were closed Avis rep didn’t tell us about they we’re closed it was 6pm Again , sorry I used kayak / Avis Signed UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

My experience with Avis Rental Cars at Fort Lauderdale Airport was disappointing. Despite making a reservation, I waited nearly an hour in line for check-in, which seemed excessive given the low number of customers. The staff aggressively pushed extra insurance coverage and were unpleasant when I declined. To make matters worse, the car I was initially given was parked in an aisle where returned vehicles were lined up, making it impossible to pull out. Despite requesting assistance from the staff and searching for the manager, it took an additional 30 minutes to locate and change my reservation to another car. Throughout all of this, the staff showed little concern and were unapologetic. It's frustrating that even with a reservation, it took nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes to leave the airport with my rental. This experience falls far short of expectations, and I won't be choosing Avis for future rentals.

The worst experience imaginable. Rented a Tesla and even though I arrived early - was told my Tesla rental was given up and I would be “upgraded” to another vehicle. This vehicle was a Corolla. In no world would this be considered an upgrade and I was extremely disappointed in the rudeness of the staff

because of flight delays and other issues we missed our pickup time such that it was cancelled and they still honored the reservation, then on the way out our flight got cancelled and we had to last minute make a reservation to get a car and they took care of us.

The one car I chose that was in the lot I was supposed to select from had a spare tire on, thankfully one of the attendants pointed that out so I had to take the only car left which was a 2 door Chevy Camaro- which wouldn’t have been my first choice. Also, the price of $79 was then I flared up to over $250 at the end of it all. Disappointing.

The clerk was a gem. Very friendly and delightful to talk to. The value was excellent. The vehicle was exceptional. We were in & out fast. Resolution was no issue. The gate employee was efficient & helped with the Resolution promptly. He was friendly as well.

Check in line was over an hour when I arrived. Three employees trying to process over 25 waiting people at 10pm. I cancelled my reservation in line, walked over to Avis, and got a better car for the same price with only 5 minutes of effort. Why would I bother with Kayak or Dollar?

I know rental cars are scarce right now, but this car had over 46,000 miles on it and required maintenance. This is something that should be checked when car is returned. Reminder flag was in front of me for the entire 8 day use of the car.

Waited just over an hour to get my cart... long line due to only two people on the desk. When I check in the attendant did something on a hand held reader and walked a way. I waited 10 minutes until he returned and he told me I was all set. Not very pleasant employees checking in or checking out

My reservation was canceled because it was scheduled for 8am and I did arrive until 5pm. Apparently, there is a 4 hour time limit to the reservation. I wish that policy had been more explicit. I ended having to take a Lyft for a 2 hour ride.

Easy check in and check out process. They will ask you if you want to upgrade your vehicle, SunPass for tolls, extra insurance, ect. We ended up upgrading to a bigger vehicle for $45 more for the week. And declined additional add ons. It was a good check in and check out process and will likely rent from them again. It is an additional $12/day for an additional driver.

Car wasn’t ready when I got off the red eye. They told me they don’t start cleaning cars till 6 am. And I would have to wait until 6:40 for my car. I got there at 5:30. Not good. Next time I’ll opt for a bigger company that has more availability

Car was great, pickup counter was nice and quick. We did get a minivan when we wanted a smaller suv and the hidden fees are insane. Went in thinking I was renting a car for $150ish for 2 Days and it was over $300 plus a 300 deposit you get back but still over $600 was charged to my car when I was expecting a lot less. Now it’s going to take days to get the deposit back.

I used this CC once with ACE, AND DID NOT USE IS WITH ANYONE ELSE... I THEN HAD FRAUD ON MY CARD a few days later. The car and rental was fine, but not the stealing of my info.

Never received the car. No response when calling the rental agency from the airport at arrival. Tried to call on the next day, same result. The number provided is an Argentinian number which doesn't seem to work.
