Lady behind counter was extremely rude. Wouldn’t let me stand in building beside my husband. Downgraded our car to small suv but didn’t reduce the price. Spoke down to us like we were children. Never again will i use budget. Im sure not all staff are rude like her but it was enough to in future take my buisiness else were.

I needed a car at the last minute due to a canceled flight from Tucson. The only way to get to our destination for a celebratory event was to book a flight on another airline from Phoenix. I was able to make a car reservation online from my phone which was easy to do. When the counter opened the service person was very helpful but the added charges were very confusing and unclear. What started as a less than one-day rental to get from the Tucson airport to Phoenix airport costing about $100 turned into a rental for less than 8 hours for $250. Otherwise, the rental was excellent.

The Chrysler Pacifica had lots of pet hair (cat or dog), dirt, debri, & etc. It would have been better for me as a customer, to have been clean. At least vacuumed to get the pet hair up/out/gone.

The rental location is terrible. It's a small office on a shady strip. The cars are on the roof of adjacent parking deck. The Guys who work there are really nice but the car was shady. It had no window fluid, it was a screech every time you turn. The back seat headrest didn't work. The list goes on... Just pay the extra money and go to a reputable place. This place is below low budget. Never again!

Picking up the car and dropping off was straightforward and hassle-free. I received a thorough review of the car during pickup and clarification of any accompanying charges. Service from staff was courteous and professional.

Cons:

Minor detail but while the car was detailed properly, some napkins from Subway were left in the center console top compartment. The napkins weren't dirty but the clutter was surprising for a car that should be thoroughly detailed after a rental. Also could be more transparent on miscellaneous fees such as airport taxes and drop-off.

I didn't like national due the over charge was out rageous, getting charged 80 cents kilometers when it'd suppose to be 33 cents kilometers. They were charging 3000 kilometers when it's 23650 n charging 2000 in kilometers charges when he said I was out of province, they gave me a Alberta license plate car n now they want to charge me, the attitude from the man was very rude,problems with car and said couldnt do anything, I need to be treated like criminal, when it's criminal the way they try and scam you. I will never rent from another rental car company again especially your company, I don't give you any stars and a poor review. Worst company.. the way he ordered me to pay and the way he talked to me in public, he said I don't need to talk to him like that when he kept refusing to give the mangers number and argued with me n when people were staring he said I don't need to be treated this and talked in his language and got angry gave me the number after 20 min, I walked 2 hours home passed off with the treatment and then the guy took the car out and literally stepped on the pedal went more then speed limit on the airport road, he was mad with ne cause I refuse to pay 3000 dollars for double the amount to what was told.. never rent a car in fort st john they will rob you blind...

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

The car was not available an hour after scheduled pick up and the line was too long for me to wait as I had movers waiting for me at my home. I asked the person at the front counter what I could do and they told me I would have to wait. No ETA or timeline offered. After I left, I checked back to see if it was available that afternoon-still no car available. Even an hour before my scheduled drop-off it said that the car was not yet available online. Worst experience working with a rental car company ever.

When I went to pickup my car, I had to wait ~1 hour to speak with someone at the desk. The agent I spoke to at the desk lied to me and said that I cannot use my personal auto insurance and had to use their plan. I call their corporate number later and the confirmed that agent was incorrect and refunded my money spent on the insurance. The car they had reserved for me was stuck behind several cars on the lot and inaccessible. Because of this they tried to give me another vehicle in the same class. The replacement they picked had visible damage/dent to the multiple panels, doors, and bumper. I started documenting all the damage in detail and taking pictures, the agent started getting visibly annoyed. He ended up providing me with a different car in the end. When I came time to drop off the vehicle, the lot nearly full and there was a line extending into the street just to enter the lot. I'm still waiting to deposit to be returned and I anticipating that I will need to call their corporate office again. This was an extremely poor experience through and through. I will never rent from Mexrentacar ever again, and I will never recommend their services to anyone.

If you do not arrive within 1-2 hours of your reservation time, they give your car away and don't have backups for you! EVERYONE in that arrived on my shuttle were in the same boat; they didn't have any of our vehicles; they were simply telling everyone that their reservation is cancelled, we'll receive our money back (eventually), and we just need to go elsewhere to find a car last minute, at night. IT WAS A DISASTER! Thank God one of the guys working there took pity on my group since I had my 80 year old parents with me, and managed to find another vehicle for us. It was smaller than what we rented, but at least it was a vehicle. I'm thankful to the employee who bent over backwards to find us a vehicle, but York's policy of re-renting everyone's cars if they are not there within 1-2 hours is CRAZY! Everyone else got screwed. It was an awful experience. Oh, it it took HOURS for all of that to get settled. 0/5 stars.

They are a cut rate car rental company that operates and feel like a scam. Address is wrong, phone number is wrong, office is a pop up. They demand a HUGE deposit that is never mentioned in the prior rental agreement and claim to need 20-30 DAYS to return it. Everything is hand written on paper and it all just feels off.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.

I arrived at the airport at 7:30pm and called for a shuttle. I called twice with no answer. I took a taxi out an couldn't find the location. I finally got through and the person on the phone said they closed at 5. On my printed out paper, it says pick up till 9pm. I had to make a last minute booking with another company at the airport and paid a 65$ taxi fee for the back and forth. The money I would have saved was not worth this head ache. I am super disappointed the pick up times weren't clearly indicated and I would have arranged myself accordingly. I think kayak should make a better effort in providing better, reliable companies considering their name is associated with them.

Waited 45 minutes at the airport for the shuttle. Called ACO several times but no answer. Car engine light came on and the ACO call centre was unable to help me, it being a Sunday. I sent a photo and an email of my concern but received no reply. No windshield washer fluid.

Arrived in Orlando, called ACO for pickup and was told my car had been cancelled. There is absolutely NO way that I did this. The customer service person had no explanation and offered no help other then to go back online and try again. When I did this I was told there were no cars available. So there I was stuck last minute at the airport getting another car at twice the cost. Never again Kayak

Shuttle from airport doesn’t arrive. I called multiple times. No answer, no response to voicemail. Took taxi instead. Hard to find location which is in the middle of nowhere, barely lit and marked Tuff instead of ACO. Got to counter at 7:02 and was told they close at 7 so wouldn’t help me. Also if you are an hour late your entire contract is canceled anyway. So they would not have helped me regardless due to the shuttle bus issue. I was stranded with my toddler and no car. Staff would not even call me a taxi. Thank goodness Lyft was nearby. Terrible staff, terrible service, terrible operation. I wasted $50+ in cab fare thanks to ACO. BEWARE.

Let me start by saying that "Right Cars" has absolutely no regard for their customers' well-being or financial security. When I arrived at their rental office, ready to pick up my supposedly affordable 50 euros car, I was greeted with an outrageous demand: a whopping 650 euros as a deposit. Are they out of their minds? It's beyond comprehension how they can justify such an exorbitant amount for a car that is worth a fraction of that deposit. As if their greed wasn't enough, "Right Cars" shamelessly refused to refund or provide any reasonable alternatives. Instead, they presented me with an ultimatum: pay an additional 80 euros for insurance or fork over a mind-boggling 500 euros as a deposit for a vehicle that should be barely worth the initial rental cost. This level of exploitation and disregard for customer satisfaction is simply disgraceful. It's clear that "Right Cars" Car Rental thrives on taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. Their outrageous deposit requirements and unwillingness to accommodate reasonable requests are not only unethical but also bordering on fraudulent practices. I cannot stress enough how important it is to steer clear of this company if you value your hard-earned money and want to avoid unnecessary stress and disappointment.
