Absolutely awful. I pre-paid for this car rental and when I arrived to the Payless counter, I was told that no cars were available! Calling Payless customer service was useless. They said that the best they could do is to process a refund... how was that going to help? I was stuck at Indianapolis Airport with no means of getting to my final destination. I was not able to pick up the car due to a long counter line. After waiting in line for more than an hour, I decided to leave the line due to so many still waiting in line ahead of me. Don’t rent cars if you don’t have customer service support.Reviewed 12 Oct. 2023

Pros:The person at the Washington Street pick up location was very nice and helpful. We also really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the shuttle driver.Cons:We were traveling as a family of four with a young child, an infant, and lots of gear. They sent us to pick up the car at a location far from the airport, but when we got there, the staff couldn’t understand why we had been sent there and told us we should have gotten the car at the airport.Reviewed 8 Apr. 2019

Cons:Arrived at 10pm. No one at desk. Drag our luggage to garage. Guy out there says go back to Payless desk. No one there. Finally a stranger tells us Payless is a subsidiary of Avis- no one at Avis desk. Then find out it is alao A subsidiary of Dollar so they eventually helped us- took an hour !Reviewed 25 Mar. 2019
