Sixt seems challenged with the "left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing." phenomenon. This came up first when a previous reservation and related messages kept popping up, and later when I was given conflicting information about paying a traffic fine. This resulted in piles of paperwork on both sides, confusing communication, and a great deal of frustration for everyone concerned. Pros:Sixt car rental didn’t top off the Diesel engine fuel that is needed for the car to run. (Not diesel which we can get from a gas station but the engine fuel). So we were stranded on Christmas Eve and had to call a tow truck. Nothing was open to buy and refill and we wasted three hours; 10 people in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve. Even at the time of rental they were unhelpful and simply focused on up selling us and getting us to spend more and more citing Italian laws which we were unfamiliar with, being from another country.Cons:They need to take better care of their cars before renting them out. Pros:Car was cleanCons:We didn’t get the car we booked so we were forced to upgrade, the drop off was unclear as there was no signage explaining where we needed to be. Additionally once we found the drop off point there obviously was no communication as the next day we received a phone call to check when we were returning the already returned vehicle.
