Top tips for finding cheap flights to the Turks and Caicos Islands

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Turks and Caicos Islands flight deals.
  • The majority of visitors from Canada arrive via JAGS McCartney International Airport (GDT), which serves as the main entryway to the Turks and Caicos Islands. The GDT Airport is the finest location to consider landing at if you want to explore more of the popular and contemporary cities on the Turks and Caicos Islands, such as Cockburn Town, Turks and Caicos, and Cockburn Harbour.
  • The vast majority of corporate travellers opt to fly into GDT Airport even though there are scheduled flights from Canada-based airports to Providenciales International Airport (PLS) and South Caicos Airport (XSC). GDT Airport is a preferred airport for business passengers due to its proximity to Cockburn Town, which acts as the country's capital.
  • Grand Turk Airport (GDT) can be reached in 2 ways: by taxi or by bus. The bus takes 15 minutes to travel from Cockburn Town to Grand Turk Airport (GDT), but it is the cheapest option. Taxi travel takes less than five minutes from Cockburn Town to Grand Turk Airport (GDT).

  • Be aware that there is no public transportation on the islands, and taxis are available on Providenciales and Grand Turk only. If you are planning to travel around the islands, the cheapest and most reliable option may be to rent a car upon arrival.
  • To see the humpback whale migrations and experience the laid-back atmosphere of Salt Cay Island, one of the smallest islands of Turks and Caicos, you can catch a flight from Providenciales to Salt Cay Airport (CLX). Due to its small size, you can get around the island by bicycle or golf cart.
  • To swim or snorkel with sting rays at Gibbs Cay Island, you can catch a flight to Grand Turk International Airport (GDT). Gibbs Cay is approximately 1.5 km off the eastern coast of Grand Turk and is easily accessible by boat.

Great flight, comfort, and staff. Prefer tv in back of seat but watching on phone will do

Pros: "Friendly staff and the support they offered to my mother who needed a wheelchair."
Cons: "I would have liked to have had WestJet internet and entertainment access. It was not offered on our flight from Toronto to Fredericton."
Pros: "The fact that military personnel and retired military personnel and their spouse can check in luggage for free. The check in crew was also very courteous."
Pros: "It ran on time. The pilot landed the plane without a big jolt. We could board and deplane using 2 exits."
Cons: "Seat space"
Pros: "Rotten stuff cancels out the good doesn't it. Be great if you could take some courses from Stephen Covey as you are missing some skills sets in hospitality. And stop being so cheap with the 3rd rate old old movies!"
Cons: "I did not appreciate having the second row to the last on my 2nd plane coming back - I only had a turn around time of 20 minutes to catch my third Westjet flight. When we asked if the plane would wait for us - your crew just laughed in our faces."
Pros: "Great, friendly crew in this scenic trip across to Victoria. Nice new aircraft operating this route."
Pros: "Cheerfulness of WestJet employees."
Cons: "Seat comfort; seats hard. Person next to me average size but still spilled into my seat with “man-spreading” and shoulders."
Pros: "Efficient crew and reasonable seating"
Cons: "Need more legroom or a device to fold passenger legs for the flight duration..."
Pros: "Crew was good. Seats need to be updated and are confining. I appreciated being able to disembark through front and rear door."
Cons: "More space between the seats."
Pros: "the crew was very polite but the flight was too short to have a meal"
Cons: "delayed embarking"

Too many oversized carryon baggage. If carrier reduced checked luggage fee this could be avoided. The staff were friendly and helpful, very professional.

Airport monitors did not give the gate for our flight returning Detroit to Vancouver Juice served from glass storage containers are a far more healthy alternative for people. And would also minimize the need for recycling plastic or aluminum containers

Nice smooth flight with pleasant stewards. Slept most of the flight, they could have slowly turned on the lights to make it more pleasant. Otherwise a good trip.

Great! No food was available during the flight due to the catering service strike but snacks were given throughout the flight which was nice.

Boarding, staff and flight great. A bit disappointed with no in flight online entertainment but I'll live. Landing was a bit of a jolt (more than usual) but hey everything else was smooth. LoL

I’ve been delayed for two days and I’m still stuck in Honolulu tired spending money

1.5 hours late departing YVR for a 14-minute flight. Packed waiting area. Full plane. Families with tired, screaming kids. 40-minute wait for baggage at YYJ. For a Dash-8. Obviously there was some kind of breakdown but there was no communication from anyone. Most of this was not WestJet's fault but it was an unpleasant night overall. I fell asleep in a chair waiting for the luggage carousel to start.

Nothing to like about flying in the Dash 8s. With very small seats, little legroom, and a very noisy plane, nothing about such trips is enjoyable.

I wish that seats closer to the front of the plan were available, but when I booked the flight the seats were VERY expensive so I did not book seats at that time. The day before flying only seats at the back of the plane were available. It takes so long to board the plane and empty the plane on arrival due to SO many roller bags.

Difficult to say. Over crowded but that is the fault of the airplane not WestJet

It was good! Appreciated that it was very on schedule so it made the connecting flight less stressful

Two flights, both poor. No entertainment. Cramped and uncomfortable seats, little space, the rest was OK. Staff were acceptable good.

The crew was doing their best on an old plane needing updating. Chairs that creaked and wouldn’t stay in position. My tray table was unusable as was on-board entertainment due the audio needing usb earphones (that were not provided). Prior to boarding in Toronto and despite being scheduled for a wheelchair and assistance, we were dropped off by clubcar without a wheelchair which I found myself by a gate. Due to no boarding gate assigned at that time we waited and when it was, it subsequently was moved from 64 to 95. No help could be found so I pushed my husband’s chair to that furthest gate in the airport at the highest speed possible for a 73 year old. And by that I mean I ran. It was a very stressful experience.

Wifi wasn't working on one of the UA flights after boarding.

Leg room was lacking. Legs crammed into seat in front.

T hey did a great job. Flight was on time .

the plane was old. the wifi didn’t work. the entertainment was boring and dated. the charging ports were impossible to find. i was mostly ignored by flight attendants that had no problem speaking to the man beside me. i got two drinks the entire time i was on the plane.

Crew was not very helpful. They forgot to serve me coffee and had to wait for a long time.It looked as if they were not very happy with what they were doing.

The flight I was connecting with waited for me even though my 1st flight was late. I really appreciated that.

The seat is too hard and my back and bottom are having servers pain

New ridiculous policy by american destroyed my allegiance to american. As a million miler with american, I expected it would be easy to get on an earlier flight when I got to airport earlier than expected, and save a five hour layover. WRONG. The online app would not let me switch flights, So I called, and was promised a call back in 90 minutes. HAH! The customer service desk at DCA said “we no longer have access to changing a flight on our screens. If the app couldn’t do it, I should send a letter to American, but there’s nothing else possible!”

The staff were very helpful with lots of refreshments on offer. The toilets were clean. The seats were comfortable and entertainment was good. No complaints, it was excellent.

lounge was the highlight - seats weren't that comfortable - it was a full flight but no complaints

My first flight was delayed so late that I would have missed my connection. I had to cancel the flight and reschedule for the next morning. I took over half an hour to retrieve my luggage. I already paid $30 for checked in luggage for the flight I didn't take. When I checked in for my new flight on app I paid another $30. I went to the kiosk for my luggage tags and was charged $40. (My baggage didn't make it on the connecting flight but was delivered at 10:00 that night.) Later that day I requested a refund of the baggage fees. I received an email stating my refund was complete in the amount of $234.62. I didn't realize that meant my return flight was canceled until I tried to check in at the counter. They had refunded the wrong thing. It costed me $381.10 to book a new flight home. Overall a fiasco. At least my baggage made it home with me.

Help was available but timing was bad in my case

The Wi-Fi is more expensive on AA that other airlines and it doesn't cover the whole flight; it's by the hour. So, the Wi-Fi for the flight from Spokane to Phoenix is $45. They also charge for checked luggage, unlike airlines like Southwest. The only plus side was that there are power outlets on the flight, and you get a full can of soda, instead of a partial, like most other airlines.

Terrible flight seats where really uncomfortable I had body aches for 2 days and flight was delays almost two hours

Boarding process was very similar to frontier or spirit. Gate agent measuring bags and denying boarding/checking bags.

One suitcase didn’t make the flight and was delivered a day later.

all good still 18 min late taking off. Wish AA could get with the program and be one time for once.

I liked the early check in. Flight was a bit bumpy due yo weather. Overall, everything went well.

I couldn't rate food or entertainment as neither were a factor in my short flight. I was impressed with with respect of time and schedule. Also, this was an incredibly smooth flight from terminal to terminal. My only minor complaint was being woken up for refreshment service. This was the end of a very long day, and I was happy to miss a juice box and pretzels for a little rest.

It was awful. For a 37 minute flight time,we had 1:30 hours delay. If someone had a connection flight he or she couldn’t reach for sure. The only positive point was online check in.

Limited snack options cause the snack vendor was on strike

Not full, so lots of room, which is really the only thing that can make flying economy more comfortable. Direct to Toronto is great! I didn't eat or use the entertainment.

The experience was generally above average. The only downside was the absence of WiFi during my flight from Vancouver to San Francisco.

It was overall above average experience. If there is only one thing i could complain about was the lack of wifi availability on my flight from Vancouver to San Francisco

on demand entertainment in seat back awesome Check in Kiosk too demanding with endless demand for more information information then says go to counter. Counter agent unfriendly. Do it yourself check in luggage procedure not intuitive, upset employees frustrated the whole procedure.

I think all and all they are doing a good job. Flight crew worked hard and very helpful, polite and attentive

Not much food available, not able to choose seats to be near each other, tv did not work
