Bluesun Hotel Elaphusa

Nice location, very good dinner and breakfast, lot of healthy food to choose, many vegetables, everything very tasty.

Dinner area is inside and outside. Of course sitting outside is more pleasant, but some people smoke there during dinner time, which is very annoying for non smokers. I can’t accept that kind of logic, that outside dinning should be for smokers. Most of non smokers want’s to sit there too, and don’t want to feel cigaret smoke while eating. Solution is easy. Some hotels have outside dining terrace divided to part where smoke is prohibited and other part, where it is allowed. I saw it in Bulgaria recently - in some 4 stars hotels at Golden sands beach. Terrace here in hotel Elaphusa is big enough to do it and both - smokers and non smokers - will be satisfied.

Awesome location, rooms are a great size, clean & modern. Beds are very comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was really good. I avoid gluten & dairy and really appreciated the allergen cards by each food choice. For anyone vegan there was a good choice of protein at breakfast & dinner with either humous, nuts, seeds, home made granola , chai seed cream or for dinner various bean salads and with marinated tofu or some sort of bean curry or lentil bake. There was also a vast selection of fresh ripe tasty fruit at breakfast & dinner.

The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the comfort of the sun loungers. They were good enough but if they were padded sun loungers I believe it would really elevate our entire stay. The sun loungers were also very close together. We managed to find some at the end of a row so always managed to make more space but as there is actually more space around the pool area would be a much nicer experience for guests if they were spread out. This didn’t impact our stay, we had an amazing holiday but feeding back as believe this could be an improvement worth making.

Beautiful hotel in a great location! A short stroll along the shaded, well maintained (well lit at night) public walk way to all the local activities and beaches including Zlatni Rat. The staff were approachable, helpful and friendly - nothing was a problem!

Hotel is in a great location, near several beaches and a small town Bol with lots of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, shops, etc.

The food was very disappointing, breakfast and especially dinner. On most occasions it was so poor that we ended up skipping it (despite having paid for it) and going to local restaurants instead, where we could finally enjoy some proper meals. The selection was limited, dishes were cooked with excessive oil, the bread was of very low supermarket quality, and flies were often hovering around the food, particularly the salad bar. Vegan options were almost non-existent, and even basic items like water at dinner came with an extra charge. The staff experience was also underwhelming. When we asked for cutlery, for example, we were told to open drawers and dig through to find it ourselves, which felt unprofessional and unfriendly. This hotel should realistically be rated no higher than three stars. It is especially disappointing given that Croatia has incredible local produce, yet what was offered here was bland, tasteless and clearly of the lowest quality. The facilities overall felt outdated and in need of attention.
