I was able to return the rental car to a location one block away from the hotel I was staying in and did not have to travel to a further location.

Pros:

Even though we showed up early, they did all that they could to accommodate us, despite having a limited number of cars available. Employees were very friendly. The car was very modern and nice.

Cons:

There was a problem with our reservation. We booked 1 car from Vancouver to Whistler, and then another car 4 days later from Whistler to Vancouver. It however registered as 2 cars from Vancouver to Whistler, so we had to clear that up when picking up the first car. We booked a small car, but got a van. We however understand that the movement of Avis cars across the country don't always allow for the wanted type of car to be at the wanted location on the desired date. A van still worked out ok.

The person who checked me in was very helpful and thorough.

Cons:

The check-in people noticed damage on the car right away that was already there when I rented the car. Until I produced the damage slip, they make a big deal of it.

I needed to extend my rental. Could not do it easily on line. Had to call and wait on hold for nearly an hour to speak to a human . That sucks.

The car i rented was running on some old tires. Two front tires wire was coming off. I had to go to the tire shop to switch out the tire, put my trip on hold. I was suppouse to go skii that day but i couldnt. Very dissapointed.

Did not get rental, when I got there they claimed they couldn’t access my rental. After waiting a hour started the process but claimed I could not use my debit card. Checked policies and it stated I could use my debit card. Walked out and cancelled rental

It was horrible because we didn't got a car. We were 2 hours late (what we wrote them via email) and when we arrived they told us that the reservation is cancelled and the car is not available anymore. They tried to give is another car then which would cost us more then three times the price from the reservation. Absolute horrific situation and employees.

The rental shop was closed. We waited, and called multiple times, but they never showed. This left us stranded in a foreign city. We ended up having to pay ridiculous amounts of money for taxis to get to and from our final destination, and weren't really able to explore the villages where our great grandparents were from as we wanted.

The customer service was great. I think the young lady that helped me name was Evelyn. She was very nice and professional. She answered my questions. The rental process was easy. The only improvement would be to improve maintenance on the vehicles. The wiper blades were worn out. This can be dangerous when it rains and driving in St. Thomas.

My experience with hertz rentals in Corvallis was a complete nightmare. I had to swap cars twice during my road trip. Once due to a mechanical malfunction and a second time because of low tire pressure. When I returned the first rental to another hertz I was sure to refill the fuel. However when I was done with my trip and returned the third vehicle back to my original rental location I had a fuel charge for $164. And of course because it was a charge placed at another location they said they couldn’t remove it, that I had to call and get it removed. Tried calling and only got the voicemail and never received a call back. They make it very difficult to talk to an actual person once you’ve completed your rental and they already have your money. Very disappointing and dissatisfying experience to say the least. I do not recommend renting from hertz in Corvallis or any hertz anywhere.

Horrible - do not book with NextCar. They denied my car insurance because I was not the primary policyholder. I have full coverage insurance, so there was no logistical reason to deny it. The supplemental insurance cost as much as the rental itself. I was never told at the time of booking that I would be forced to use their insurance if I wasn’t the primary policyholder. I was only told so 24 hours out from my booking. I’m actively trying to get a refund for this.
