Overview

In Perugia, Italy, the Best Western Hotel Quattrotorri Perugia is a comfortable hotel well placed for touring Umbria, with modern rooms, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a fitness centre and a large conference centre, only a short way from the motorway exit on the edge of town. Its easy position makes a fine base for exploring the region's hill towns, with good road links in every direction. The historic hilltop centre of Perugia is a short drive away. Perugia is the hilltop capital of the green Umbria, an ancient Etruscan and medieval city above the Tiber valley. Grand staircases and arches climb to a magnificent main square, a Gothic cathedral and a great fortified gateway, the surrounding countryside rolls in vineyards, olive groves and oak woods, and the art towns of Assisi, Gubbio, Orvieto and Spoleto lie within easy reach. Lake Trasimeno and its green islands shimmer a short drive to the west.
