It was fine
Loose shower head
This hotel is very convenient, being situated virtually at the side of the sea, with extensive views in a quiet area of the village. It has no private parking, but the public parking opposite is excellent extensive and FREE' The Restaurant is mainly fish. It has a good reputation with the locals, and is nearly always full. This adds to a lively atmosphere. Although on the small side the quality of the bedrooms are very good
There are no bedrooms on the ground floor for disabled guests. I am slightly disabled and I did manage the 12 stairs to our room, but a lift would have been good. This would be impossible in this particular building. However a Chair Lift could be considered.
The location, we were on memory lane, having owned a static caravan in the area 30 years previous. Lovely to return to our old haunts. We will return.
No fault of the hotel, but we had extreme hit & winds. We had to keep the window open as there's no AC, consequently gale winds kept us awake. The room was clean & as expected.
A traditional hotel in a small port. Excellent seafood as expected. The menu was full and varied and catered for those not desiring shellfish. The dining room was full in the evening with many coming in from outside the hotel to dine providing a lovely atmosphere. The service was very good with friendly, helpful, and cheerful staff in corporate nautical tops which looked casual and professional and were perfect for the setting. A large terrace was available and would be an excellent place to dine in the summer in more clement weather. There was no sense of being rushed over the meal or hurried out of the dining room. The breakfast was good and the service excellent. Public parking was available across the road from the hotel. I had problems accessing my room (number 3) and the staff were unfailingly helpful in coming to my aid which was much appreciated as was help with luggage up the narrow flight of stairs to the rooms there being no lift. This was a perfect place to stay not too far from Cherbourg and the ferry port. A welcome touch was the provision of a small bag of local biscuits in the room.
The bathroom and shower were very small but for single occupancy of the room this was fine. However, that and the smallness of the room might be a problem for 2 people sharing.
