Pillows were too soft doors creaked from other rooms 3 jetts in the spa didn't work only reason I stayed was for the spa
The property is still very comfortable and in a convenient location. I have stayed before with previous owners and had a very pleasant stay with such lovely personal service. The room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. I had a great deal of room to myself and was glad for the air conditioning. The walk to the local restaurant on the river is short and the food there is very good.
With new management, check in is now at the bar of the hotel up the road and this was inconvenient. I had driven a long way and was very hot and tired. I had to walk up to the hotel and wait at the crowded bar to be served. The bar attendant served all the drinking patrons before me. Check in needs to be on site again. The breakfast is now self serve and there are no on-site staff. This means other guests are not monitored. There were other guests staying who were disturbing my stay and woke me at 2am with their use of the kitchen and common area. I needed rest to continue driving and was not happy. They were also smoking and left the kitchen in a disgusting mess. The breakfast is continental only now and previously it has been more elaborate, with cooked food. Parking has still not been improved, and I was expected to park on the street, which was not convenient or close to my room. Overall, the changes are not convenient and after staying here previously, I returned expecting things to be as they were. It is still a lovely place but I will reconsider staying there again.
