Delicious dinner and breakfast included. And 5 lovely onsens to choose from in the evening, they are all private rooms which makes it easier if you have tattoos.
We had a great time here. The price incloude 2 meals, dinner and breakfast. And the price is totally not expensive. Dinner is pork hot pot, it was so delicious and full my stomach, also the breakfast is. The host is really nice and speak English very very well. They have 5 different type hot spring. All hot spring is private. We enjoyed it. We are really recommand here.
Nope, all good.
Very central location inside sujiyu onsen town. The hotel is very much what I expected of an old time traditional Japanese hotel, and it appears to have been used as a shooting scene in some film. Everything has a feel of time, shared toilet and bath are very clean, dinner and breakfast are simple but delicious. But the most satisfactory part of the experience is the hospitality of the owners. The hostess speaks excellent English, which made it easy to communicate. The host doesn’t speak English well but he tried every means to understand our needs and offer solutions including using a google translate. They truly went out of their way to make us feel at home, helping us with everything from dining to transportation. One of the best experience of my journey in Japan this time.
Nothing about the hotel. It appears most travelers arrive at town after 3 pm and leave in the morning next day. So no demand for lunch and hence you couldn’t find a single place for lunch if you’re staying for more than 1 night at any hotel in sujiyu. So prepare in advance.
1) you can hear sound of river(?) flowing in your room. it’s really eco-friendly house. 2) pork shabushabu dinner was good with a bottle of cold sake. 3) my mother really enjoyed indoor bath (onsen). it was my second stay and I would visit here everytime I come to this area. one of my favorite ryokan in Kyushu!
outstandingly hospital staff! without their help, we would have been caught in heavy snow since we didn’t have snow tires. Foreiners, don’t worry about communication. the hostess speaks English so fluently. shabushabu dinner and private onsen were really nice and you can enjoy the sound of river flow in your room. I stayed here for my first night of trip, could become fully relaxed and got energy for the rest of the days. highly recommended!!
there was paper notes for tips of using guestroom but written only in Japanese. would be better to have English guide too.
