9.5 Excellent
Pros: What I really liked off the bat was the location of it & how easy it was to access, both from town & the freeway. The rooms were really clean & when I eventually did hit the bed, there were so many comfy pillows on it that I slept through out the night which is rare for me. The best part about it was the cleaning staff. I have an ESA dog & he is a pitbull. When Hope came around to clean the rooms, we were about to leave & I had put the “No Disturb” sign on the door & had mentioned to her my dog. I asked if she wanted to meet him, that he would be ok for her to come in & clean it & she immediately said yes!! Hope was so great with Brody the whole time we stayed, she’s truly a dog lover & I have been blessed to have been able to have her spend time with my most Precious part of my family. There’s a dog park out back which was convenient for taking him out there to go potty & to play. I highly recommend this place to all dog lovers!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, beautiful view, welcoming owners.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The setting is beautiful and the property has much potential it is just poorly maintained and dirty, dirty, dirty!!!
Cons: It was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed, even compared to a camp in Mexico. We paid $400 per night and spent 45 minutes trying to clean the shower before we used it, because it was so dirty. The carpet was absolutely filthy, there was dirt everywhere. We tried to book another place when we realized how horrible it was but it was summer in Mount Shasta and we could not find anything else. We stayed in the two bedroom, one bathroom unit and the owners put a memory foam cushion on the pull out bed but then they left the bed out everyday in the middle of the living room because they did not want to take the pad off and put it back on for us so we had an open sleeper sofa in the middle of the main room. Chris is one of those business owners who makes you feel bad you are inconveniencing her by giving her your business. We referred to her a “pinchy” but she made the vacation stressful. One person in our group had a 5 minute breakfast because she refused to serve us at the time we requested. She is rude and thinks that a chocolate chip cookie and white robe, a few that looked like they were still dirty from prior guests, will make people forget the entire property is dirty and unkempt, the food is not very good, and she makes her guests feel like an inconvenience. The food was progressively worse, the last day was a mostly raw egg, plopped on a dry tortilla with a layer of beans. The tap water was horrible and there was a bottled water container but we noticed ants in the water. When we uncovered the bottled water container, there was a film on the surface of the water. We paid $400 per night, the same price we would have paid for a cabin at Mount Shasta Resort but we spent three days fighting ants in the food and water, not using all the space we paid for because it was so dirty, and hoping the toddler we had with us did not get sick from the dirty water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property has a gorgeous view of Mt Shasta. I enjoyed sitting on the porch or the bench on the lawn under the trees and taking in the beauty of Mt Shasta. It’s a beautiful place to stay.

Pros: location and price were key in deciding to stay here. near a few good eats... Mexican restaurant across the street is expensive but offers good authentic Mexican food...the bar at the Shasta Inn rocks and has a great tender...I don't know about the food guy who shut down 20 minutes early on the 3rd of July while people are checking in for the big weekend
Cons: The walls at the Shasta Inn are paper thin... could hear people MARCHING up the stairs all night checking in. .I don't know about the food guy who shut down 20 minutes early on the 3rd of July while people are checking in for the big weekend...seemed unorganized and unable to handle a cheeseburger and wings!

4.0 Okay
Pros: The price is low. But there is a reason why...
Cons: The room was very cold when we arrived at 3:30 pm. The heater was turned all the way down. After turning it on it was very slow to warm, and 3 hours later was still cold. I contacted the management expecting they might move us to another room (many were empty). But, instead he provided us with portable heater and told us that he would check the heater the next day. I have been to other hotels in Mount Shasta over the last 25+ years. I won't return to this one unless I see that it is overhauled. And, I think this may be only the second hotel I've been ever to which does not supply coffee.
