Make sure you shop around first
The staff was extremely friendly which I do appreciate. Nice aesthetic, gorgeous garden area. Parking was good.
The bed was uncomfortable. Granted I have a pinched nerve in my lower back and bad neck muscle spasms. The pillows were alright, but the bed hurt my back. I slept maybe 6 hours broken up 1st night and I normally sleep 8. Woke up with a sore back. The second night I slept under 5 hours all broken up. So by day 3 I was grouchy because I need my sleep. The food served in the morning offered with the breakfast vouchers was left overs from previous day. They shouldn’t serve stale bread to someone paying almost $200 a night on a bouncy ball material made bed.
The building is gorgeous
This is her second time here. We brought my inlaws with us and got them a room also. I love that all of the rooms are different with their own touches. The view of the bay is awesome. You feel like you went back in time 100 years staying here. When we were here in the summer they had the bar open on the patio but that was closed this time so we sat on the big porch outfront and had a great time
History was evident. Well maintained. Easy to get to. Walking distance to shops.
They had a large group rent their main lobby and restaurant. Noisy! Took away the quaint.
Great location, but that's it
terrific locale -- right in the heart of downtown Petosey. It's walkable to shops and restaurants.
the amenities, furniture and rooms left much to be desired. Yes, it's a boutique hotel, but it felt like my wife and I had broken into a 100 year old woman's attic and were sleeping on a family heirloom straw bed. Nothing was comfortable (or clean). The TV was smaller and older than my parents' computer monitor. I'm not sure what my $250+ "deal" paid for.
The Perry is a great old hotel experience. Just a wonderful spot in an amazing town.
I really enjoyed the comfort of the bed and the pillows. It was a beautiful room and the attention to detail was perfect! They really did everything they could think of to make the room as comfortable as possible. I also loved the "thickness" of the towels!
