I loved the art, the room layout, and the staff. It was a great place. I remember the sheets being a little rough but that was minor.. I will stay there again when I return

Overview
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Portland, Hotel Lucia is luxury wrapped up in a historical package. The hotel's building is on the National Register of Historic Places, and it is well-known for its extensive photography collection. This funky hotel is full of mid-century modern furniture and in oranges and golds has plenty of amenities to enjoy. Each room comes with Mascioni linens and down pillows. Each room also has a personal Nespresso machine to keep guests supplied with caffeine. Hotel Lucia is a pet-friendly property that has complimentary bikes for guests to use. Gourmet ice-cream can be delivered straight to the hotel rooms, and guests are free to peruse the spiritual library for a book to borrow.
There are four different room styles that can be booked. The Deluxe Room is 165 square feet of living space that can be outfitted with two double beds, a queen-sized bed, or a king-sized bed. The Premium Room is 200 square feet of living space that can be outfitted with either a queen-sized bed or a king-sized bed. The Superior Room is 250 square feet and contains king-sized beds. The largest option is the Suite which is 350 square feet and has a separate king-sized bedroom and living room. There is a fireplace, wet bar, and two bathrooms in the suite.
The hotel contains two dining options: The Imperial and The Crown. The Imperial is an acclaimed Portland dining option, and The Crown offers world-class pizza options. Guests of the hotel are eligible to sample some local craft beer for free as well.

Pros (+) There was nothing the staff wouldn’t do to assist and make my stay better. They were all so friendly & efficient. The room was really comfortable and well appointed. Loved the music playing when I walked in the room. The Imperial Restaurant had seriously fantastic food. The hotel’s location was great. They gave me an unrequested upgrade. Did I say how incredible the staff were? So wonderful!

Pros (+) The location is great. You're close to plenty of great restaurants, museums and late night spots. The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable and include nice touches like USB ports on the lamps and recycling bins. And you get free beer every night.
Cons (-) The rooms are a bit small, so you might want to upgrade to the larger rooms when you book. No closet space.

Pros (+) The staff gives you a lot of their time, professional and helpful, and most are friendly. The room was beautifully appointed, very comfortable for one person, and I was happily upgraded to a street view of the Starlight Parade.
Cons (-) Unfortunately the ground floor was undergoing renovations, which had I known I would have booked elsewhere.
Cons (-) Wish we would have known they were doing construction on the lobby. It was noisy so they should have given us something extra for the trouble
Pros (+) Absolutely the best location. Easy to travel to any part of portland, 5 minute walk from Powell's City of Books. Really nice staff, really nice valet, decent gym, decent facilities. Room is clean and cozy. Not a great view but it doesn't really matter since you can access the parts of the city with a great view within 10-15 minutes.
Cons (-) Valet is a bit pricey. No view from our window, but it didn't bother me much.
