The staff are friendly and helpful, the decor is quirky and fab, the beds are super comfortable, and our bedroom was gorgeous (must have been one of the recently refurbished ones). The whole place is charming and very pleasant. Great location close to the centre and the park. We were there for a wedding and just walked back to the hotel at about 11pm. Can't comment on food/drinks as didn't have any, and didn't use the SPA either.
We were given rooms on the top floor. As was to be expected, it was very hot in the rooms, it being August, but unfortunately the air con did not work and there were duvets on the beds! We had a Nespresso machine but no espresso cups so had to somehow manage with mugs that didn't fit. Had I had more time, I would have requested one from the bar. Having said that, I would very happily stay at this hotel again.
Friendly helpful staff, quirky decor, super comfy beds, well appointed bedrooms, very pleasant restaurant/bar/patio area.
Bedrooms on top floor and very hot but air conditioning out of order (fans provided), no espresso cups for espresso machine, only mugs that don’t fit.
The complimentary alcohol in the room is SUCH a good touch. Rooms were clean and beautiful and the balcony is very romantic.
The location was wonderful and the reception area was friendly and beautifully decorated, full of wonderful artworks, sculpture, plants and books. The bar and garden were ideal for a family gathering!
Our room was in the basement right at the very end of a narrow corridor next to the cleaners' store cupboard . It was very small and had no fresh air or air conditioning and we had to have an electric fan on the whole time, making it a noisy night. We booked and paid in full 9 months in advance, expecting a more spacious and comfortable room, however others in my party booked last minute and received far better rooms for same money.
The service and friendly attitude of the service staff
The landmark eighteenth century property has an abundance of character. The Richmond Harbour Hotel is located at the top of Richmond Hill and is an outstanding setting, moments from the gates of Richmond Park and The Thames. Strolling distance to the town centre with its many restaurants and boutiques, you can easily jump on the tube into Central London too.
