Excellent breakfast - various alternatives from healthy to delicious options. Breakfast is served with excellent view to the hills.
We liked everything at Salvadonica!
The location, the view and the fact that there was a restaurant at the property.
The air I made a lot of noise (when it was cooling)as if there was constantly water floating in the walls. The friendliness of the staff was not an authentic friendliness. No contact with the owners, everything is managed by the staff. More like a hotel than an agriturismo
The amazing views, the staff and the comfortable stay
The setting of the property in the Tuscan Hills was just beautiful! The restaurant was high quality, fresh ingredients and again the setting magnificent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also enjoyed several activities offered.
I didn’t like that every activity was significant extra money. Even a morning hike was $28 euros per person. Also to get anywhere outside the property takes skilled driving on very narrow winding roads. But this is Tuscany!
We liked the view from the pool, the food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner was amazing.
We booked this placed based on the activities and by the looks of the rooms - horse riding was one activity that was on the list of things to do but when we got there we found out that it wasn't actually on the property and that it was a further 20 minutes away there was also only one time it was available so we couldn't do it. we also booked it as it had cooking classes. This however was ridiculously expensive at $120 euro per person. The room was awful with no view, it smelt like mould, the bed was rock hard and the pillows we horrible. The room was dark and uninviting. also it was hard to get to any of the surrounding wineries as there is no taxi service the private transfers were $80 euro per person. The breakfast was simple with not much variety.
When you stay at Salvadonica in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, you'll be 11 minutes by car from Cantina Antinori. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
