It is only a 10-minute drive to the San Diego Zoo and only 5 minutes from SeaWorld San Diego. This hotel is the perfect option for business and leisure travelers seeking a comfortable, quality stay in downtown San Diego.

The coastal-inspired rooms are warmly decorated with modern furnishings and upgraded amenities. Guests can choose from standard rooms, suites, or accessible rooms. All rooms include flat-screen televisions, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, workspace, WiFi accessibility, plush bedding, crisp linens, custom mattress, a spacious bathroom, custom bath products, and air-conditioning. Larger suites have sofa-beds and spacious living rooms. Pros (+) The location is smack in the center of the most touristy beach in San Diego. Surfing is pretty ok. There are endless places to rent any kind of beach toy, bikes, surfboards, etc. Little shops and a great boardwalk that goes for a couple of miles along the beach.

Cons (-) This is by far the worst hotel (MOTEL) I have ever stayed in. Reminds me of a cheesy hotel in horror films!! Visited PB for 4 nights & dreaded going back to hotel every night! No air conditioning, only has a weak & noisy ceiling fan that did nothing to cool room. Needed to open windows for perhaps cross ventilation,but for safety didn't dare - room was on ground level.
