I have to check in until 4:00 pm even though I have booked the room in advance. I do not know why.
The hotel was lovely and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. The location couldn't be better for exploring historic Savannah. The pool was small but clean, and I loved that it was saltwater not chlorine. The valet parking is pricey at $28, but there is a garage across the street that only cost $12 and the staff was quick to suggest it when I balked at the cost of the valet.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds, clean room, and facilities.
The location and parking situation is uncomfortable. Check in is too late in the day.
Beautiful hotel rooms impeccable Service wonderfull I will recomendé to friends and family and will like to go to another in another city
Love the modern rooms
Mint scented shampoo
The coffee maker
Desk staff rude. Renovation took over the complete hotel - our hallway on 5th floor, temporary lobby nasty, Madison room terrible. Such a hotel should not be charging for a breakfast pastry esp under these conditions. Cleaning staff did not address our room at all. Bed too soft. Live and learn - the hard way
Didn't communicate renovations underway
Great location, lovely and helpful staff, clean rooms
Half of hotel was undergoing renovation, and while they maintained a fairly clean and quiet atmosphere, walking into a hall rented with plastic and filled with power tools was a bit unsettling. Travelers ought to be advised of such things prior to booking...and given a steeper discount.
The indoor pool is small , and on the cool side , but it was January. They are under construction, but it was quiet and is in NEED of updating .Clean , staff was super friendly, breakfast cafe is low quality, outdated, had the feel of a motel.Had I not got a great deal on this hotel,I would've been hugely disappointed. My Daughter goes to S.C.A.D ,So I've been to many hotels in the historic center, this is on the bottom of my list of places to stay.
The hotel was a really great deal, especially for the quality of hotel.
It was a little on the outskirts of the downtown area.
The location is nice
Everything else is horrible. Major renovations under way. They even renovate on Sunday's which is horrible. The bed is probably a 2 on a scale of 1-10. Room is small and no parking because you cannot park in the garage
I was not aware that the hotel was under construction. It was kid of a mess and I wouldn't have booked a reservation for our anniversary here if o had know that. I was pretty disappointed.
Bed was comfortable and the room was comfortable overall.
Was in a room that had a door that adjoined to the next room that seemed very thin. At 5am could hear the people in the adjoining room so clearly it sounded like they were in the room with me. TV remote did not work, and the clock had not been set for the current time. Most hotels will allow a 1hr late checkout . . . Not here! And noticed what appeared to be a small patch of mold in the bathroom.
The location was pretty good.
Our room was not serviced, no clean towels the first day, and no service at all the next day. Also, we were given wrong directions to the airport upon leaving.
Great location and good deal for the money. Room was clean and as promised.
Pull out sofa was very uncomfortable (mattress too thin). Breakfast was so so but for the price, hard to complain. They did not have our change of reservation, but did not charge for the night we canceled.
People were really friendly, and the hotel is within walking distance of wereever a person wants to go within the historic district.
I liked the fact that breakfast was included, it was a good price for what you got, the size of the rooms and that the room had a fridge and microwave. I also really liked it that each room had wi-fi
I hated (and I think it is bad for the environment) that everything at the hotel was disposable. The hotel should seriously consider using, at the very least, real glasses in the rooms, and no plastic which just goes into the landfill.
Being close to histric district
Breakfast could have been better
Room was clean. Staff able to answer any questions that i had. parking at site. breaskfast was wonderful. The cookies at night were a nice touch.
The facilities were excellent including car parking space at the on site garage. The food at breakfast was good. The hotel is situated within the historic area and we enjoyed seeing the old timber buildings and enjoyed the public squares and parks. The hotel is also in walking distance of the shopping area and historic riverside quays.
Unfortunately the swimming pool heating was not working when we visited but understood that an engineer had arranged its repair. We also dislike the us of disposable crockery and cuttlery which most hotels seem to have adopted, including the Country Inn.
nice place to stay with good people
