The location can't be best we loved how quiet and peaceful the resort was.
Pros: The location on Eagle beach is wonderful. The views from the suites are lovely.
Cons: I would of thought a 5 star would have a nicer bathroom
Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort creates a peaceful environment for adults, promoting wellness and romance on Aruba's pristine Eagle Beach. Named #1 Resort for Romance in the World and #1 Resort in Caribbean on TripAdvisor. Guests enjoy personal service, a fitness center with a view, clean-air rooms, and management always available to attend to guest needs. Facilities include oceanfront Elements Restaurant, a beach bar, free movies on the beach, a freshwater pool, and a spacious beach with comfortable chairs. Near the resort are a variety of restaurants, shops, bars and a world-class casino. Rates include free use of iPad, free WiFi, and daily breakfast.
Pros: We had an amazing time at Amsterdam Manor the rooms were clean and the staff was very accommodating. The beach was the highlight. It never gets too crowded and it so beautiful.
Cons: Food was overpriced it wasn't that delicious
Pros: Beach was steps from the front of the hotel and there was always an umbrella, beach chairs, and towels ready for us. The happy hours were great. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we loved that the rooms had kitchens so you could grab groceries for the Super Food down the street. Such a nice addition. There is also a mini market at the hotel in case you need something quickly.
Cons: More families than I had expected. The pool was used by children exclusively. The location has ups and downs - there is nothing to the north until the high rises so you are a bit isolated. It is nice because it isn't super crowded and it is intimate, but it also means you have to travel a bit to get to other restaurants and activities.
Pros: Friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, excellent beach, nice beach bar, excellent restaurant on the beach, efficiency rooms so we could have breakfast/lunch/snacks/drinks in the room, grocery store only a short walk away
Cons: Nothing at all!
This Oranjestad hotel is across from Eagle Beach, which offers snorkeling and swimming. Adventure Golf and Bubali Bird Sanctuary are within a 5-minute drive.

Pros: Off beaten path but overall great place very helpful staff. And bereakfsst
Pros: Staff, size, parking
Pros: Wonders has a bed and breakfast atmosphere. We felt very welcome. Owner and staff make you feel right at home in their charming home. The breakfast is so delicious and filling. the owner aims to please all of his guests with any requests.
Pros: I Loved everything about Wonders.it felt like home.the host is great as well.I am going back and bringing my friends
Alcoholic beverages were an extra charge, but you had use of the mini fridge so you could purchase your own and store in the fridge. The shower was not hot; lukewarm at best - but not a problem after a day at the beach. This place is definitively more local, so an occasional gecko in/around your room is possible. Construction is also occurring on the property, and starts around 8am. There are also dogs on and around the property that do bark, but the resident dog is very sweet.
Pros: The room was spacious with a good working air-conditioner, the owner was pleasant and accommodating. He provided beach towels and snorkel equipment for use throughout our stay. The bathroom was clean and nice.
Cons: The location is not close to the beach or to eating establishments. The area around the hotel was residential. A vehicle is highly recommended to get to the beach and eating establishments.
You should remove it from your list!
Pros: I chose not to stay there!!
Cons: Very dangerous location. Bars on all parts of the building. Looked like a city jail.
Charming, small, quiet hotel that makes you feel like you're at home. Perfect way to stay away from the resort atmosphere, yet not feel like you're missing anything. The staff is helpful and friendly, breakfast was delicious, and if you need anything - they are right there to help.
Pros: Very clean, very quiet location away from the typical resorts. Breakfast was incredible, pool was relaxing, and the entire place was gorgeous. Can't wait to make a return trip.
Cons: Loved everything...nothing bad to say.
My main worries were that we would be too far from town or the beach to have a relaxing experience, but I was completely wrong. Gaston, the caretaker at Wonders, picks you up from the airport and runs people out to the beach (among other places) everyday. Oranjestad is just a ten minute walk down the street (you can see it from the hotel). And on top of that, Gaston will guide and help you through booking tours/boat trips/a car, making restaurant reservations, and finding popular destinations. Wonders has a real charm to it-- the lobby, pool, and garden are all decorated beautifully. Everything is clean. Breakfast costs $9-16 everyday (if you want it), but it's delicious, and fresh, and really relaxing to start your day with a meal at one of their pretty tables in the garden/pool area. It was never too crowded, yet somehow every space at Wonders felt intimate and inviting. They provided towels, snorkeling gear, and a discount card for Moomba Beach. The hotel is stocked with books and magazines for guests to use. Our room was very clean and nice. The air conditioning worked great. Unlike other reviewers, we weren't bothered by 'dog barking' at night-- we could hear dogs occasionally but it was nothing more than average neighborhood sounds (we certainly couldn't hear them with the tv or air conditioning turned on) and nothing kept us up at night. The rooms are spacious, our bed was big, and though WiFi is only guaranteed in the lobby (wired internet is available in the rooms), we could get it in our room occasionally too. This hotel is great for people that want to have an authentic experience. I liked that we were in an area of Aruba where locals lived, and that locals (Gaston and crew) were advising us of the best things to experience in Aruba. We completely enjoyed every moment of our stay there. I wish there was a place as authentic and charming as Wonders everywhere I travel.
Pros: This hotel is beautiful-- it's well-decorated and inviting. The staff there help you in any way possible, and really try to make your visit an incredible one. It really has an authentic feel to it, but you have absolutely everything you could need.
Cons: I loved everything about it. It's not an all-inclusive resort and it's located in a real neighborhood of Aruba (it isn't beachfront), but it's safe and we really enjoyed getting to see more of the 'less-touristy' side of Aruba.
Ask for a room either with a balcony or on the ground floor. I was upstairs and had to constantly walk up and down with my morning tea etc. Would have preferred one of the other 4 rooms with outdoor access but wasn't given the choice. Not sure why not. It is adults only which suited me; I like peace and quiet. There is a bar fridge and a kettle in the room, but one needed to go out for dinners. Also to make or buy your own lunches.
Pros: it is a large home with a comfortable feel, beautifully decorated, peaceful and charming. Gaston, the owner, is very professional, as are his staff. Breakfasts very good. I enjoyed chatting with other guests as the atmosphere is relaxed and informal.
Cons: The disadvatage is that it is a long way from the beaches and other attractions, activities. Bus service fair. I rented a car, failrly essential, but found the driving nerve wracking. Roundabouts everywhere and poor (absent) signage, lane markings, etc.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful garden/pool area. Very relaxing because of the atmosphere. Very spacious room with nice balcony overlooking garden/pool area. Excellent breakfast (European style).
Pros: The layed back atmosphere and the accommodating staff. Beautiful garden/pool area. Very relaxing because of the atmosphere. Excellent breakfast (European style). Only stayed 1 night and wish we had stayed longer. Good location.
Cons: Only wish we knew how lovely it was - we wish we could have stayed a couple more days. Next time FOR SURE!
Wonders Boutique Hotel is just 3.5 mi (5.6 km) from the airport and offers a shuttle during limited hours for USD 32 per vehicle one way. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi, self parking, and wired Internet are added perks. Other highlights at this boutique hotel include a beach shuttle, a terrace, and a garden.
Featuring a tropical grounds overlooking the sea at Surfside Beach, complimentary Continental breakfast and free Wi-Fi, the Aruba Surfside Marina is 600 feet from the Simón Bolívar Square and the Betico Croes Square. The ocean-front, air-conditioned apartments and studios with contemporary décor have daily housekeeping service, ceiling fan, telephone, flat-screen cable TV and an open balcony with garden views. The kitchenettes have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, and the bathrooms have shower, bathtub, hairdryer and toiletries. All accommodations are non-smoking. This eco-friendly complex features the Pinchos Grill & Bar serving international-grilled food. Guests can also find a variety of restaurants and shops at Oranjestad Main Square, a 3-minute drive away. Activities such as diving, snorkeling and fishing can be arranged as well. Aruba Surfside Marina is a 5-minute walk from Niki Beach and 2 miles from the Queen Beatrix International Airport.
Pros: MVC offers a great and hospitable alternative to the lage resorts. Seems like a riveter piece of paradise.
Cons: The furnishings in the room could use an update.
Pros: The staff here exceeds expectations above and beyond. Christie was amazing and she would make anything you wanted happen. She easily handled 3 customers in her small office without any of us feeling unimportant.
The location is wonderful if you plan to spend days at the beach as the front of the hotel is across the street from a nice quiet stretch of Eagle Beach (which is stunningly beautiful). The rooms are basic and comfortable, but don't stay there if you want a lot of adventure right out your doorstep- be prepared for easy bus rides up and down the west coast or info Oranjestad for about $2.60 USD/AbFl.
It's a no extra fluff, fantastic for families and people wanting a comfortable home base for adventures kind of place. We loved it!
Cons: The room required the AC to be on at 22C the whole time (even when out of room) to prevent condensation. It could get a little chilly at night! The hotel restaurant was good but not so adventurous, and it did take a bus ride or a 40 min trek to some more interesting eateries.
At MVC Eagle Beach, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Eagle Beach and Royal Plaza Mall. The outdoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at Tulip Caribbean Brasserie, which serves international cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a terrace are other highlights, and rooms offer furnished balconies or patios and flat-screen TVs.
Pros: My wife, 9 months old and I had a great time at this hotel. Our little one loved the kiddie pool and even though there were plenty of kids in the hotel, it was never crowded and always clean.
The beach is just across the street and it is absolutely gorgeous. We were always able to get lounge chairs and found a shady area to relax,
I gave this hotel 4 stars because the food at the one restaurant available for lunch was not that great. The staff was nice but not efficient. The casino was pretty small and it did not have a lot of choices.
The La Cabana Beach Resort and Casino, an Ascend Hotel Collection in Oranjestad, AW helps you focus on the destination in a whole new way, offering upscale accommodations near Eagle Beach, Haystack Hill, Malmok Beach and Arikok National Park. Amenities include free WiFi, an outdoor pool, fitness center, pool bar, tennis, waterslide, racquetball, spa, basketball, volleyball, squash, cabana, shops, an in-house restaurant and a mini-market. When you are ready to settle in for the night, our guest rooms feature irons and ironing boards, kitchenettes, balconies/patios, flat-screen TVs, coffee makers, pillow-top mattresses, sofa sleepers and hair dryers.
Pros: Staff was very friendly. We received a free upgrade overall experience was great!! Highly recommended!!
Pros: Loved the location, type of people vacationing, the boat that leaves from the hotel lobby is one of a kind, the private island is so relaxing and beautiful, the staff is all friendly and eager to help, so glad we picked this resort!
Cons: We had an issue with our room one night and the front desk assisted us with switching rooms.
Cons: Wait staff was slow and not attentive at the bar at the hotel.
Pros: There was nothing I did not like! Love love love the private island!!!!! Very contemporary hotel . Love it!!!
Pros: The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and attend to your every need.
Pros: The location is excellent, and access to activities through the city was very simple. Staff is very courteous, rooms were well maintained and clean.
Cons: The pool area had DJ playing so loud that it was hindersome in the room in the afternoon and early evening. Pool is rather small and not enough places to relax during early evening hours. The rooms were pricey for the amenities provided. Staying at the Marriott on the west side of the island offers more amenities, larger room and less cost. But after all, it IS all about location, location, location, and the Rennaissance has it!
Pros: Great location in the heart of Oranjastad. Easy walk to great restaurants. Very clean. The staff were wonderful, especially Berlinda who helped us with restaurant reservations.
Cons: There is no real beach unless you ferry out to the private island. The island is pretty, but windy. There were no beach chairs available and even more limited if you wanted one in the shade. At the Marina, there is a modest sized pool but no beach chairs available in the mid afternoon. There is music playing all day, so there is no place in the resort for peace and quiet except your room. The room was modest sized, but a bit dated. It was quite expensive.
Cons: "Island View" does not mean a view of the private island. The front desk told me this means an island view as in Aruba is and island and you can view it.
Pros: The staff was friendly and remembered us during our stay. The room was comfortable and well equipped. There were many activities on premise which kept us busy, and the private island was beautiful. We enjoyed a couples massage and dinner for two package which was excellent.
Cons: The location was right at a shopping mall and plaza with plenty to do, but it was further away from the main hotel area where the nightlife and many of our friends were staying. Taxi trips to meet our friends or go out started to add up over our stay.

It was recently renovated along with the surrounding area. When you get your suite . It is your responsibility to do your own housekeeping it is un serviced. There was no phone in our room. There is only one tap on the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower, so only one temperature of water. The security is good your door has two locks and the gate at the end of the landing also has a lock. Free parking a few steps away. Friendly owner.
Pros: The room we had looked fresh and clean. All the appliances worked. The free WiFi was fast. The room had no smell , the A/C worked well. The balcony was adequate with a nice view from our room. The hotel was in a good location close to lots of amenities .
Cons: Considering the price we paid . There was nothing we did not like about this establishment.
Situated near the beach, this hotel is within a 15-minute walk of Lourdes Grotto and Royal Plaza Mall. Aruba Town Hall and Parliament Building are also within 10 minutes.
Solar Villa is just 3.9 mi (6.2 km) from the airport and offers drop-off service (available on request). Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks. Other highlights include a children's pool, a terrace, and a garden.
Cons: Drinks were reeeeeeeeeeeally weak
Wife got food poisoning
Pros: Get a first floor room. Open your sliding door and your toes are in the sand. Drinks and food are decent. You will not go Hungry or thirsty. Lots of different options for snacks and food throughout the day. We loved taking long strolls on the beach. It's awesome that you have access to the Divi. Typical routine includes getting a drink at the bunker bar, walk down and sit by the pool to people watch, get a new drink (and maybe some chicken strips), continue the walk down the beach. Nice 10 minute walk to the divi... By that time you are ready for a new drink, grab one at the first bar. Continue the walk to the divi pool and beach area, people watch, lay in the sun, listen to a live band, grab another drink and take a stroll back to the Tam.
Lots of activities. Book them early so you won't be directly in the sun. We did a snorkeling/snuba trip (booked at hotel). I would highly highly recommend. We did the ATV tours and it is by far the best way to see the island. We went to the natural pools, natural bridge, an old gold refinery, and a really neat rock formation. We went downtown. And it really only took us a few hours to get a good experience. We took a cab, which was fine... But we regret not using one of the hotels bikes to ride down. We aren't horribly athletic so we didn't want to commit to a bike ride downtown in a different country. However, we drove along a really nice, flat, bike path leading directly downtown... Wished right away we did the bikes. The Spa was awesome! We did massages and a body wrap.. So relaxed.
Do not bring pants... You will not wear them. Bring some nicer shorts for dinner and you will be fine. Girls, sundresses and bathing suits... No need to get too fancy. always bring extra sunscreen, expensive to buy on the island.
Cons: We had to leave. Palm grill was our least favorite restaurant... But fun and worth doing once.

A really great experience for a young married couple looking to explore the country of Aruba. A great value compared to many of the hotels. Couldn't walk right out of our room onto the beach which may not be what others are looking for, but all the beaches in Aruba are open and very accessible. A very safe country in which we were very thankful we spent less money on the room to do more exploring and eating at the terrific Aruban restaurants!
Pros: Great location, value and experience. Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing area. Not touristy and very nice cultural experience at a family house. Be sure to ask for recommendations of beaches and restaurants as they were PERFECT for avoiding the tourist traps.
Cons: Breakfast was good but light and not very filling. Don't rely on if you're used to big breakfasts. Need car to visit anywhere but that goes for Aruba in itself as it's the only way to truly experience Aruba and all of its culture.

Pros: We knew the grounds and surrounding areas. Pool was nice, but dirty every day from the wind blown trees.
Cons: Our room was on the ground level, lots of bugs. We asked to switch rooms. Told there were none so they gave us bug spray.
Our front door stopped working, twice. Front desk didn't offer anything for our troubles. On the last day we were going to sitwch to a different room and was told to be there at 12:45pm, room wasn't ready, very frustrating.
Pros: I can't think of anything I did not like.
Pros: 1-bedroom unit and amenities were more than adequate and clean.
Cons: Infinity pool needs some maintenance. Tiles along side are falling off.
Contaminated water at the end of our stay make a lot of people sick and staff was not forthright in dealing with it. As of this writing, they're still handing out bottled water. Not sure they handled this emergency well at all! Too bad.....
Cons: Environment taxes that I did not find out about until the day of my checkout. I don't have a problem with paying taxes, I just don't like one's that I don't know about.

Cons: Was father from the ocean then thought. Was not within walking distance.
We stayed out of the room all day and night because of the smell. If we had to go to bathroom we had to leave and find a public toilet to use.The door to the room had several holes in it and a gap at the top letting lizards from outside in the room which we have pictures of everything. It was absolutely disgusting!! I dont know how anyone in their right mind could have tolerated this. My wife and I when we tried to sleep in the room had to use our beach towels that we traveled with to cover our faces not to breath the crap smell. It has got to be the worst place we have ever stayed. Bugs and flies everywhere. The other interesting thing is in the bathroom where you cant flush toilet paper there is no soap no anything so I can only imagine how clean the sink and faucets are from people wiping themselves and then washing with water only. Good Luck to anyone who tries to stay here. Anyone who stays here deserves an award!!! There is a sign in the bathroom telling you to not put any toilet paper in the toilet. .. I thought it was called toilet paper for a reason.....to go in the 'Toilet'!!!! Flies on the bed , dirt and hair over the whole room!! I couldn't believe my eyes. Please sleep in your car if you have to!!!! Not this place!!! I have video proof of this place and my review.
Pros: Checking out of there!!!
Cons: The overwhelming smell of crap.Check in lady Cindy brought me to my room and told me we are not aloud to put used toilet paper in the toilet and that after we go to the bathroom we are to put used paper in little waste basket next to toilet. Nasty!!!!!!
Arubiana Inn puts you within a 15-minute drive of Eagle Beach and Alto Vista Chapel. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks. A terrace and a garden are offered, and rooms have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: simply decorated and clean rooms. nice size rooms
Cons: Loud noises, no catering or breakfast on premises, late check-in.
There is an airport nearby that completely deafens the environment. No privacy
Cons: Lobby. No porters
Intimate, charming and inviting, the Talk of the Town Hotel and Beach Club is a casual hotel boutique located across the street from Surfside Beach and very close to downtown Oranjestad, the capital of ARUBA. In a fully renovated hotel, enjoy the new pool, relax in one of the new hot tubs or just lie down under the marvelous Caribbean sun in our palm nestled courtyard with the snack and drink of your preference.
Pros: The staff was great. Walking distance from Eagle Beach. A couple good restaurants near by.
Cons: Too far away from the more populated areas. This hotel is best suited for a family get away.
Pros: Some of the staff were delightful and friendly, but the manager didn't offer any apologizes for the stained sheets. I asked for a late check in....why is that 70 bucks when my room was 120? I'm confused....so my late check out fee was waived...I check out two hours later...and no other corrections were made to make me feel better about this horrible experience.
Cons: I have so much to say...not sure where to start. Oh wait - Don't Do It. This place is horrible and I'm pretty sure the worst place I have ever stayed and I've traveled to 40+ countries. The resort boasts about a renovation but this place is barely holding on. It's dated and the sheets were stained..I was transferred to another room...those sheets were stained. On top of it all, the place advertises free wifi but that's not in your room. Trust me, don't do it.
Pros: Pool was clean and fun for the whole family, especially the waterslide. Outstanding gym, beautiful equipment. Staff was friendly. Room is adequate, clean but plain. Overall hotel is great for the price but a bit rundown in places, not luxurious in any way.
Cons: Very poorly equipped kitchen. No pan for oven, lousy utensils for cooking in general. We asked for an oven pan but was informed that they don't provide one, so the oven is useless.
Cons: No Wifi! To Loud! Cheap! Wants a $300 cash deposit!
Pros: I liked the new renevoted room it had everything and very specious. I like that they opened a pizza place the karaoke and happy hour. I would definitely go back there with my family.
Cons: I didn't like the way I was treated by the front desk agent when I checked out. I asked to stay by the pool with the kids till 6pm and since the others left they forgot to leave their wristband so the front desk agent was rude to me telling me that I had yo bring them.
Pros: the service , friendl
Cons: Needs a renovation
Pros: The room I booked was great, modern, clean and large. The resort is a little distant from ocean (need to walk about 200 yards) and the pools do not open until 10am with limited lounge chairs, but overall a very nice spotless resort.
Pros: Staff is friendly. Can walk to grocery store
Cons: Has not been updated in years. You have to walk across busy street to the besch
Pros: Nice beach across the street. I like having a kitchen to cook.
Cons: Checking in was slow. We arrived at noon, we were told our room wasn't ready yet and to come back later. We returned at 350pm and our room still wasn't ready. We did not see many cars or other people around. The guy said "we don't let any one in before 4pm". Even though this was 10 minutes away, he said come back later. He was rather rude. The rooms needed updated. The grout was filthy, tiles chipped and cracked. The music by the pool was loud and poor choice for people of all ages. The older people hated it.
Pros: size of rooms - large with kitchen and living room
Cons: needs updating - more restaurants

Pros: Hotel was great for the price. Proximity to the beach was a plus. Arrived and received an "upgrade" to golf resort, although that wasn't explained.
Cons: Staff was not friendly, especially compared to what you find elsewhere on the island. Have been visiting for 15 years and this was the first time it felt small requests (where can we find towels) were a bother.
