Top tips for finding the perfect Cancún hotel

While Cancún generally tends to be an affordable city, airport transportation services can be surprisingly expensive. A convenient option could be to find a hotel or resort that provides transportation for free, such as the LQ Hotel by La Quinta. Most large hotels include this in their rates, and some smaller hotels located near the airport, such as the Courtyard by Marriott, will also have transportation options.
Cancún is a very popular city for all-inclusive resorts and hotels, so take advantage of the many great deals that will be available to you. The Hyatt Ziva Cancún is one of the most popular all-inclusive hotels in the area.
If you are looking to travel between resorts and attractions but you do not want to rent a car, consider booking a hotel that is located near one of the bus stops of the Riviera Maya bus service, such as the Mi Casa Es Tu Casa. This local bus service links many of the different resorts in theus Riviera Maya area, and it is very affordable to use.
Hotels in Cancún are generally concentrated in two areas – downtown and what is called the Hotel Zone. You will find that downtown has a large variety of budget hotels, restaurants, and bars, while the Hotel Zone is located directly on Cancún’s famous beaches. Check out the Ramada Cancún City in downtown, or the Krystal Cancún in the Hotel Zone.

7.8 Good (5,616 reviews)
Pro " The weather "
Con " The mattress was horrible and the springs were all bed. First night was very uncomfortable to sleep on, until i requested to change it. The outdoor spa was broken with cold water, It is under construction. Those that want to spend time in the Spa, be aware that it is not working. The pool water seems not be be cleaned regularly. The water starts looking more green than blue. Bacterias may be growing, not sure. The shower knob inside the room fell off, and hot water valve was shot off, leaving the room without hot water. We stayed in room 1721 facing the ocean. The insulation of the walls and sliding doors leading to the balcony, is so bad, you will hear the ocean waves and outside noise non stop, even when fully closed. All i got from the help desk was the copy and paste response "sorry for the inconvenience". Try a different hotel if you are willing to spend so much money. "
