FIRST TIMER** We stayed at the Royal Sands for our honeymoon and the all inclusive package was phenomenal! Royal Sands is 1 of 5 Royal Resorts so you have access to their pools and restaurants as well. Royal Sands used to be a timeshare so you will meet a lot of owners that have been going there for 20 years during your stay. Food - We ate at Captains Cove (everything was perfect), La Veranda (buffet, theme nights, hit or miss), and Hacienda Sisal multiple times. Sidelines Bar will have ALL the games and bar food. Tuesday & Wednesdays are their "Friday & Saturday's" so they will have karaoke til Close/Midnight. Room service has good food all day everyday but they don't speak very good English. Shuttles - free to any Royal hotel or Royal restaurant but run on a schedule so make sure you know what time you will be picked up or you'll have to take a taxi or the public transportation bus. Taxis - always ask the price or negotiate. There's maybe 3 companies and they all have a sheet they go by. Captains Cove = $9 USD, Marina Chac Chi $17-$25 USD, Airport $26 USD. Airport Transportation available thru their travel agency also $11.60 USD per person. Royal Market - expensive. Sunscreen $15, bug spray $15.. 2 pools - 1 is quiet and the other is loud with 2 pool bars, they also have servers that will get you drinks or food Spa is great and has a hot tub in the locker rooms. Security - very secure, they walk the beach, pool, and always ask your name and room number any time you leave so they know who's coming and going. Laundry - large area to do laundry. Cost $5.60 USD per 3.5 kg load to do it yourself. All Inclusive Guest - always sign a tab/receipt anywhere you go, even the pool bars, they will always ask your name and room number even to keep track of your $0 drinks. Currency Exchange - at the front desk but don't bother, they will accept USD or pesos EVERYWHERE. Calculate on google.
Bed uncomfortable. Bars close too early. Royal Market too expensive.
I loved all the facilities, the comfort, how I could rest. You can choose from different restaurants (I would recommend Hacienda Sisal) and activities. Next to the hotel you can find a luxury shopping center and it is easy to move around Cancun (by bus). The beach was clean.
Amazing pool and pool bar... Big and clean rooms
This stupid procedure of changing rooms on Saturday with no actual reason
Rooms and lobby were very clean. Very well kept resort. Swim up bars had great food and drinks. Staff was amazing.
Entertainment shows would have been nice. Need more restaurants onsite. Didn’t like that we had to pay extra for beer (Coronas, BudLight, Modelo, XX). We were told that the all inclusive didn’t include the beer in fridge. Only on tap was included. The strange thing is that we had Modelos and XX in the rooms fridge.
The pool, restaurants and facilities are really nice
We had no problems or issues
