I was given help, as a disabled person, to get my suitcase up the stairs. I was also given a key for the back door which was easier access than the front. There was plenty of tea and coffee, shampoo and shower gel.
Food was adequate but somewhat greasy breakfast. When I returned in the dark after the wedding there was no corridor light to see me to my room and there were two up steps and two down steps for which I had to feel with my umbrella in order not to fall. Also there was a constant smell of tobacco smoke in the hotel. There was not adequate supply of milk for drinks in my room.
The staff made you feel welcome and relaxed. The bedroom was clean and warm providing good facilities. The service and breakfast were good too. Good value for money. Would go again.
Lovely people, fantastic food, nice clean room. Excellent value and really handy for the M5 motorway without any motorway noise or traffic.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast well presented and room and breakfast represent very good value
Eveninng meal available in restaurant. nicely presented meal from good menu is rather expensive relative to accomodation and isolated postion means no other choice
Landlord's mother friendly & welcoming. Food available (not evenings Son & Mon) in both bar and restuarant (different menus).
Fairly busy railway line just across the road from the inn/hotel, although very few trains 11pm - 6am. Bathroom sink very small.
We had a lovely relaxing time. The staff are very friendly and could not do enough for us. There is a Rail Way to the back. However we did not find this a problem as the trains are a small suttle service and had passed by very quickly. Our evening meal was very good.
I would have set the breakfast ups a bit different. Put tables together and perhaps have a menu so that people know exactly their choices. This is very minor as the food was very good.
Quiet location, excellent meals, helpful staff, good value.
The hairdryer advertised on the Active Hotels website was not there.
Relaxed and friendly.
Good friendly service, value for money with breakfast inclusive of price etc
