Top tips for finding Key West hotel deals

  • If you’re looking for a cheap hotel in Key West, you should consider visiting during the low season. You'll find cheaper accommodations in Key West in November and October.
  • Hotel room prices vary depending on many factors but you’ll most likely find the best hotel deals in Key West if you stay on a Monday. The opposite is true for, Wednesday, which is usually the most expensive day.
  • Book more than 90 days before your stay begins to get the best price for your Key West accommodation.
  • The cheapest 3-star hotel room in Key West found on KAYAK in the last 2 weeks was C$ 245, while the most expensive was C$ 828.
  • How long should you stay? KAYAK users usually book their accommodation in Key West for 3 days.
  • If you are looking for cheap hotels in Key West, try to book a hotel in the eastern part of the city. The prices are much more reasonable here, and many of the hotels, such as the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton, offer free shuttle service to the downtown area.
  • Having a car is useful if you want to venture to a different island, such as Stock Island, but it can be expensive to pay for parking each day. We recommend booking a hotel in Key West that comes with parking. The Perry Hotel Key West is a great choice that offers complimentary parking to guests.
  • Want your Key West hotel to be walking distance from the nightlife hotspots? Book a hotel in the Mallory Square neighborhood, such as the Margaritaville Key West Resort & Marina. This area has many party hotels and bars, and it is located right along the water, giving it particularly beautiful views.
  • If you are traveling with your family or are just interested in finding more quiet Key West hotels, consider booking a resort that is slightly removed from Duval Street. The Marker Waterfront Resort is a great spot for a peaceful getaway, but it is still within walking distance of downtown if you want to go exploring and sightseeing.
  • For those who want to spend most of their vacation time on the beach, book a hotel near Smathers Beach. It is the largest public beach in the area, and it is close to the airport. Access to the beach is free, but you will most likely have to pay for parking if you have a car. The Sheraton Suites Key West is a great hotel within a short walk of the beach.

An Island Oasis7.6/10 ratingout of 8 reviewsOld Town South of Truman · C$ 194 avg price/ night
Great location. Cute little room that was cozy, but worked for the 4 of us. Disappointed that our room was never cleaned during our stay. We did receive fresh towels, but only one bed was made during our stay. Why weren’t both beds made…? No fresh linens & the floor was never swept or mopped; sand accumulates when you’re on an island. For the price we paid, I expected better.

Duval House Bed and Breakfast8.8/10 ratingout of 11 reviewsOld Town North of Truman · C$ 155 avg price/ night
Staff was awesome, grounds beautiful, location great on Duval. Room private with a common deck area in a beautifully cared for garden. Room small, dated, vinal plank floor shrunken and separated. AC old and loud. Queen bed filled most of the room and one chair, tiny table plus armoire filled the rest. Like most things in KW, it is showing its age and not inexpensive. Great staff, grounds, and location made it enjoyable.
