Pro " Great Hotel , great location. "
Con " No pillow protectors. Carpeted room. I prefer wood floors. Carpets harbour all sort of "nasties" and one cannot tell how clean they are although I appreciate for noise and wear and tear they are easier for a hotel. Small vanity top...not large enough to keep personal toiletries on. Hotel is on a steep hill, which is good exercise but should be highlighted for less able guests. Air conditioner was too noisy to have on at night so we slept with the window open and used ear plugs. "

8.6 Excellent (2,560 reviews)
Pro " Everyone was and helpful not the least of which was all of the 'Hampton staff' who made our stay very comfortable and welcoming. The Bicycle Thief!!! Mussels for a lunch not to be missed and last nights dinner 'outstanding.' Murphy's Sail cruise of the harbor was a highlight the skipper and crew a lot of fun and good value for money. Research on my wife's early 1773 ancestors resting in the downtown cemetery at the Dalhousie Archives and seeing the actual stone markers was profound. A shout out to Margo at the Parks Canada office for her old fashioned Maritime hospitality and helpfulness with research about the Pontac building and the British North Society beyond the ordinary! Thank you "
Con " The two of 3 'unnamed' takeouts we used on the waterfront might perhaps want to be more attentive to the quality of their food from a value for money perspective. However, I did have a superb homemade ice cream chocolate shake. "
