I was greatly offended about the parking fee. Never stayed at a Hampton inn that charged this fee. On the website it listed parking as a feature, but didn't say in big red letters hat there was a $23 fee.
Location, service of the personnel
Lower the price of the Parking
Check in process was abysmally slow, and even though I had checked in online for one room and prepaid for parking, parking was full so had to find another spot. Fortunately, a public garage is right across the street. Annoying though. The desk clerk said he would credit our bill for the prepayment, but failed to do so. That stated, very pleasant staff and nice facility. Good location. Front desk made a great dinner suggestion for us. So things improved after a rough start.
Great hotel, but elevators are SLOW
Hotel was awesome and very impressed, however the elevators are extremely slow. It took upwards of 10-15 mins at times for us to get up and down to and from the 15th floor.
The hotel was in walking distance to all if halifax harbor front.
We wished there was a small fridge in the room.
Beautiful new rooms, spacious, great location.
waited for 30 minutes to check in (huge lineup with lots of agitated guests) only one elevator, so waited 10+ minutes to get on the elevator EVERY time we had to use it (ended up giving up and taking the stairs a few times) For $180/night we could have stayed at one of Halifax's other beautiful hotels with less headaches.
good breakfast and great location. Easy access to all site seeing amenities & waterfront attractions. Professional, curteous and efficient service at front desk. Even the cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. liked the added security of needing the room card for the parking and the use of the elevator.
Lack of fan in the bathroom. Pool temperature was a bit too cool to enjoy.
