Top 10 hotels in Siesta Key

Discover the top hotels in Siesta Key handpicked by local expert Nick Dauk.

Siesta Key is lauded even by locals who’ve strolled its soft quartz sand summer after summer. The surrounding keys are plenty perfect in their own right, but there’s something special about not only Siesta Beach, but also the many overnight inns lining the Gulf waters. The best hotels in Siesta Key capture the mood effortlessly. It's an atmosphere somewhere between lively and lazy, where you’re free to spend hours celebrating or snoozing under the sun without shame. The name of the key itself sets the pace for your vacation, and the area hotels can accommodate a dreamy siesta any time of the day or night. What I love about Siesta Key’s properties is that you’ve got instant access to one of the top beaches on Florida’s Gulf Coast without having to empty your wallet. Bring your family, friends, or just whatever you need for well-deserved me-time and enjoy the sunsets from the best hotels in Siesta Key.

1.

Tropical Beach Resorts - Sarasota

Address:

6717 Sara Sea Circle

Price:

C$ 189-C$ 783/night

Tropical Beach Resorts encourages you to “pick your paradise,” which really makes you stop and think about what your ideal Siesta Key vacation should look, sound, and feel like. Free lemonade and popcorn in the welcome center are just as salty and sweet as the cool Gulf breeze flowing from the beach at the end of the road.
You’re sure to feel perfectly at home in your preferred suite, with a fully-equipped kitchen and whirlpool-jetted bathtub – grab a book or film from the hotel’s book exchange and DVD library and settle in. Cornhole boards, a shuffleboard court, and a heated swimming pool are always at the ready, but Tropical Beach Resort takes no offense if you leave the property. In fact, they want to help send you on your way by offering bicycle, kayak, and paddleboard rentals to get you moving.

2.

The Residences on Siesta Key Beach

Address:

915 Seaside Drive

Price:

C$ 579-C$ 1,595/night

Hyatt Residence Club sets the bar high for luxury hotels in Siesta Key Beach. You’d better believe that the hotel’s suites don’t skimp on the lavish amenities. Multi-head rain showers and oversized jetted bathtubs are just the beginning.
Rent a PlayStation; book a massage; have a chef prepare an exquisite course to dine on in your room or at your poolside cabana – the richness you want out of vacation is always within reach. And yet, what makes Hyatt Residence Club so ideal in my opinion is that it trades an indulgence in opulence for more modest digs.
The hotel is calm, cool, and collected, despite its luxe setting on Siesta Key Beach. As your flip-flops slap along the waterfront pool deck or thud across the wooden boardwalk leading to the shoreline, you’ll wish every hotel you stay in could have such perfect beach access.

3.

Siesta Key Beach Resort and Suites

Address:

5311 Ocean Boulevard

Price:

C$ 262-C$ 1,085/night

One of the more unique hotels in Siesta Key, this is the kind of place where you might find more locals than visitors in the off-season. That’s no slight on their accommodations: rooms ranging from two-bedroom suites to poolside studios to bunk rooms with kitchenettes.
The hot tub, resort-style pool, bike rentals, and poolside tiki huts are key amenities, though Siesta Key Beach Resort and Suites has recently revealed their trump card: The Big Tiki Lounge. The hotel is right in the heart of Siesta Key Village, one block from the beach, making The Big Tiki Lounge one of my favorite watering holes.
Live music, special events, and a shady bar bring the crowds. The Porthole Grille food truck is parked right outside, meaning the only time you’ll have to step into the sun is when picking up your basket of fries and the catch of the day.

4.

The Inn on Siesta Key

Address:

515 Beach Road

Price:

C$ 369-C$ 1,620/night

Some beaches have mansions made of steel – Siesta Key has castles made of sand. Whether or not you’re visiting for the Siesta Key Crystal Classic Sand Sculpting Festival, you’ll want to look into a few nights at The Inn on Siesta Key. It’s close to all the action.
Granted, you’ll have to cross the street, but the hotel is happy to hook you up with a complimentary beach wagon stuffed with toys, a cooler, umbrellas, chairs, and games that you can wheel to the waterside. If you need a break from the sand, you’ll be in your element in a suite, no matter which element that is.
The Cottage’s stone fireplace is an excellent place to cuddle up with a partner in the cooler winter months, while the warm evening breeze will drift through The Haven’s open-air balcony, reminding you why you should use every PTO day available.

Address:

Price:
