Had to use valet parking. No other option even though there was parking right by our room we had to walk across the entire property to get to the car every day. When you are carrying beach bags and a back pack to and from the room... it was frustrating.
Great welcome when we got to the hotel. Sangria on arrival. We got a free upgrade and the room was amazing. Fantastic hotel in key west
Awesome property. Like a resort not a hotel staff was awesome!
Location is about 2 miles from Duval Street. Food is mediocre. But all things considered it’s a great value.
I like the hotel and the beach area, very convenient the 4 pools and that always we have pool towels. Staff nice.
I did not like the location of my room, I asked for quite place and was too close to the road so we can hear the traffic when we sit outside and the smell of the cars, like gasoline, in the morning the noise of the jetskies and to complete, our upstair neighboors were too loud every single night. Second day we went out the whole day and when we came back the room was not clean and ready, I wento to the front desk and asked for housekeeping, FD told me that will be sent immediately, we went to the pool and when we came back the room still the same, I have to requested at least clean towels. Then around 11pm the smoke detector of the room started to sound we have to dress and be out of the room because we did not what happenden. The night staff was very nice and they apologized for the inconvenient but they never re-install the smoke detectors back. I requested 3 times to have my room update, because I receive an email offering this for an extra fee but they never update my room. For the value I was expecting much more, specially the quite place. The hotel manager needs to be more focus on the small detail to have a better place, anticipate the needs of the guests to exceed the expectation of all guests and not only few.
Cleanliness, comfortable beds, nice bed linens and towels, apartment-type accommodations (3 friends traveling together), adults-only pool.
Valet parking was the only thing I didn't like. It was inconvenient for us (our villa was at the opposite end from the valet stand and several times we had to walk down to the valet stand when our car was parked right outside our unit). The valet did bring our car around to our unit when we were packing up to leave, which was very helpful. Tried to call ahead for our car on several occasions and didn't get an answer, so we just walked to the valet stand. Seemed to be a slow time at the resort so this was not a problem...would have been if it was raining or the valets were busy.
Explore the Florida Bay away from the bustling Key West area at the Parrot Key Hotel and Resort. Travelers can experience a hidden getaway as they enjoy the lush landscape across the five-acre waterfront property, a wide front porch with rocking chairs, and a beautiful beach not far away.
Located on the Florida Bay away from the entertainment district, Parrot Key’s quiet neighborhood offers a welcoming atmosphere. While the hotel is hidden among the lush grounds, there are still stores like Publix and Home Depot a few blocks away. A free shuttle is offered to and from Smathers Beach; however, Duval, where the main entertainment and dining is located, is accessible by a short car or taxi ride.
The getaway hotel is accompanied by four pools spread across the property, a tropical-style restaurant and tiki bar, and a small gym. The hotel offers concierge services for guests such as parasailing, boating, kayaking, tennis, gold, and jet skiing. Bicycles, scooters, and water vehicles are a great way to get around the property and surrounding areas.
The 148-rooms at Parrot Key Hotel and Resort are designed like townhouses and condos since the property was originally meant to be a townhome community. The rooms are decorated with brightly colored Bahamian-influenced décor and range from studios to three-bedroom suites. Standard and convenient room amenities are provided for travelers, and some rooms offer water views.
With a brand new, refined, and completely refreshed look, Parrot Key Hotel and Resort stays true to the original Key West spirit while providing an island getaway for travelers.
