Everything under one roof. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
Not enough chairs provided in room
We did not really have a window in the room, it was quite dark.
The location,if you have a front room.
Oldest hotel in Tadoussac, the building is historic. The staff is really nice and available. The room is clean. Furthermore, it’s the perfect location, the hotel is next to the departure of cruises.
It smells musty in the room, we had to open the window when we enter. And it’s a really big building, there are a lot of rooms there.
Wonderful old hotel in the prime location in Tadoussac. Only one of the restaurants in the hotel was open. Food was very good but service was lackluster. The only breakfast served was a preordered buffet; no a la carte. However, nearby restaurants and bakery served everyday after 8:00 a.m. The huge lounge area was lovely with comfortable seating, fireplace and stunning view of the port and the river.
Rooms were clean and quite acceptable. Wooden windows are older and some mold was beginning to show on the caulking. I expect that these should be replaced in the years ahead.
Thousands of years of natural hospitality. Set a course for Tadoussac- a picturesque village standing at the edge of the boreal forest near the Saguenay fjord and a stones throw from the sea. Tadoussac was a major trade area for aboriginal people; a whale and beluga hunting ground; a safe harbor for explorers Cartier and Champlain; and a vacation resort as early as 1864. The Tadoussac Hotel with its whitewashed walls; maritime colors; red roof; dormer windows;and cupola marking the centre of the building calls to mind an enormous lighthouse standing not quite a cables length from the magnificent sandy beach nearby. The hotels silhouette is like a beacon, for generations navigators have been using it as a Landmark when piloting their vessels in the St. Lawrence. The buildings architecture testifies to the close bond between Tadoussac and the sea. As you look out from the hotel terrace, you will see an ocean of green; marsh hay; sails; boats; sea foam; and in the distance, whales. This prestigious vacation destination long treasured by wealthy American tourists was little known by Quebecers until the early 1980s. The Tadoussac Hotel has seen its popularity steadily increase drawing tourists; specialists; and Naturalists from around the globe that come to watch whales In a superb natural setting. In addition, the charming coastal Village casts its own spell over our guests. Couples on a Romantic getaway; outdoor enthusiasts; ecologists; and Amateur photographers set out on the St. Lawrence Heroically braving the elements for a chance to see whales up close. A stay with us is what you want it to be- a haven of tranquility/ your springboard to adventure- the perfect place for a tete-a-tete with that special someone or a great family vacation. The Property is open seasonally from May to October.
