We as a family with 2 kids of 7 and 10 year really felt at home during our stay at Burgschrofn.
- Loved the wellness area. Not big or fancy, but just enough. After some rainy day hikes, it felt like heavenly good. - Good breakfast and delicious dinner, in a lovely decorated dining room. - Spacious room with balcony. - Convenient parking space right next to the hotel. - Really good value for money.
- There’s some traffic noise, though the road is small and not so busy. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to traffic noise, maybe better to ask for a quiet room.
The owner/manager/chef and his wife are amazing friendly welcoming people. It was our 2nd time we spent time there, and we were welcomed very warmly and friendly again. Really nice food (take the optional half-board!! You will certainly not regret at all!!) with an amazing variety. The hotel has been nicely renovated some few years ago with a modern refreshing twist. Spacious quiet rooms with sufficient storage space for sport gear (wintersport). We enjoyed the daily changing fresh salad bar at dinner and good breakfast with sufficient variety and coffee. The hotel is some 100-150m from the skibus stop and located very near the 'center of town'. The car can be parked in front/next to the hotel. We certainly come back to this hotel again!
There are nothing that we did not like.
Location, sauna facilities, spacious rooms,
Hotel WI-FI was completely useless - a bit surprising in 2018 :) boiled eggs as the only warm breakfast dish every day can be disappointing
Sitting 1,300 metres above sea level, this hotel in the pollen-free zone of Zillertaler Alpen Nature Park offers a traditional Finnish sauna, regional food and drink, and a free hiking tour through the surrounding Tyrol nature trails. Featuring fine wooden panelling, all rooms at the Hotel Burgschrofn offer a satellite TV, seating area and balcony/terrace with mountain views. A rich, freshly prepared breakfast buffet is served each morning in the Burgschrofn's country-style restaurant. The spacious spa area invites guests to relax. Visitors can also sit and read a free newspaper on the terrace, while children play in the on-site playground. The Spannagel Penken climbing park is a 10-minute drive away. All year skiing can be enjoyed at the Ski & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000, 5 minutes away by foot.
