Pros: Dawn was such a warm host! It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Auberge de Mon Petit Chum. Comfy room, such delicious breakfasts, close to the river, main street , general store and lots of places to eat. Wakefield was stunning and our stay at the Auberge really made the trip for us :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay at the B&B De Mon Petit Chum, we were greeted with a very warm welcome by Dawn. We stayed in the Black Sheep Room and it had everything we needed for our one-night stay. The gourmet breakfast was so delicious, we got to enjoy it outside on the sunny balcony. PERFECTION!! Truly home away from home. I definitely recommend this Bed & Breakfast to anyone who wants to explore the Wakefield area, near Gatineau Park -- we will be back! Thank you, Dawn!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was our 2nd time at Mon Petit Chum. Dawn goes above and beyond to make visits perfect. She serves made to order breakfast, accommodating any food intolerances. Dawn will make reservations at restaurants or at Nordisk Spa, giving you a discount. We had a coupon for the spa but we mentioned her B&B and we got bumped up to check-in right away . It could have been an hour wait!. Thanks Dawn for everything!!! Cheryl &Paul
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dawn was the perfect hostess. She accommodated all of our allergies (and there were many). The breakfasts were amazing and plentiful. She also suggested the perfect accommodation scenario for five sisters visiting from different parts of Canada. We loved the setting: the rooms and the common room were perfect for visiting and playing games. We had a separate entrance and the rooms were very private from other guests. The Auberge was in close proximity to the village so we were able to walk to the village and browse. She also suggested places to visit and see. And, she also suggested a place for our next sister get away. I highly recommend this Auberge. You will not be disappointed.

Pros: Large room. Great location!
Cons: Shower head didn’t have a strong spray.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with various spaces to wander, sit and enjoy the natural beauty. Room was comfortable and spacious, de on end the river view!
Cons: Restaurant service in the Heron bar was off. Meals were delivered to the wrong tables including ours. Food was ok, ordered the pork confit poutine, it arrived with cold cheese curds but lots of pork, returned to warm the cheese, when it came back the cheese was warm but most of the meat was gone. Location of the restaurant is fabulous.

Cons: the staff,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: View was excellent
Cons: More signs could be up as to where the spa and other things are located.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent drinks a bit pricey. The chalet was really nice to stay in.
Cons: Full length mirror in room would be nice and regular coffee
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely setting with many places to enjoy the scenery & nature. Particularly enjoyed the platform in the stream below the pool.
Cons: My expectations were very high based on all the positive reviews & they weren’t met. The building needs some TLC, the carpets in the hallways need cleaning or replacement & the railings in the stairwell between the Heron & the Muse need to be painted. Our television wasn’t working for the 2 days we were there and unfortunately it wasn’t fixed nor met with much consideration from reception staff who could be friendlier. Service in the bar & The Heron is very sporadic. You will wait a long to time for your drink & your food. The food itself is above average & in some cases excellent (scallop appetizer at The Muse) but the timing again is sporadic. I would recommend a dinner at The Muse just be prepared to tap into your zen personality so that the timing of courses is met with a shrug & a smile (3 courses, 3 hours). Here the wait staff try very hard. Breakfast food & service are excellent. Overall there is work to be done here by management because it could be top notch, currently is not, as they have a glorious spot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room overlooking the falls. The entire experience was fabulous.
Cons: We were disappointed with the fish and chips in the bar. We should have ordered something else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting. Nice rooms. Good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautifully kept and in an ideal location. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful discovery just outside the centre of Wakefield. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Located at the entry of the forest with many trails to discover and a lake in the centre of town for swimming, kayaking and stand up paddle. Excellent breakfast options. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
Cons: Nothing to report, although you need to be careful with mosquitoes in the evening in the summer.
