Domicil Residenz Hotel Bad Aachen

Rooms are large and spacious and position is very comfortable to reach the city center and the Christmas market.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience in this hotel. First room was not ready in time, on Sunday the reception closes at 13.00, we arrived at 12.55 (we also informed of our arrival) and our keys were already in the external box. We have been asked for further 30 minutes so we decide to leave. The room was also very different from what was in the pictures, very simple, the bed was 2 together and not a double size. On the following morning 08.30 some works started in the room next to us with very strong noise and we could not sleep anymore. We kindly explained this at the reception and asked to put the work in stand by for a couple of hours (until our check out). The noise was so strong that we had to scream in the room in order to have a conversation. We had to insist to let the work stop and nobody apologized. After this we also face another accident much worst than all the rest. At 10.30 we were in our room getting ready to check out, and the cleaning lady entered in our room. Please note we locked the door, and when we understood somebody was trying to enter we raised our voice to be heard. Even thought all these precautions the lady open the door in not convenient moment. We felt very violated in our own privacy. We explained the events to the receptions and we didn't hear any sincere apologize for a completely ruined stay. We requested to talk with a manager but we have been refused. I also emailed the hotel 2 days ago, no answer. The hotel offered a compensation but the stay was completely ruined. With the same price there are other options available in the city. Definitely we don't recommend this hotel, not just for the things that happened but mostly for their attitude. Not customer friendly at all.
