Excellent 10.0
Pros: A rare disgruntled local and lack of island facilities were the only negatives we took notice of...wonderful place.
Cons: Nothing that wasn't expected at such a remote place.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful grounds, very comfortable and well appointed rooms. Exceptional service and friendliness from all the staff. Great location to the lagoon. We loved the peace, quite, and privacy. No dogs policy. It was nice to motorbike around island without worry of dogs barking or running after you. This was our 7th time to Aitutaki but haven't been here in 20 years. It still has it charm and warmth it had way back then. We went to Church on Sunday and the singing was magnificent their voices are so beautiful. Aitutaki is such a special place in our hearts. We do plan to return to Pacific Resort Aitutaki.
Cons: Our beds were a bit on the hard side. The food was good to very good and value was fair and wine prices were dear. We thought the menu could use more selections. But overall the experience was very good to excellent.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The room was fantastic, food was delicious , and views were spectacular. Very private. Personalised newsletters and gifts were a bonus.
Cons: $14 for 3 Ferraro rocher, extremely expensive laundry. Cost me $103 for half a bag of washing. I didn't like how the GM didn't say a word to us W when we were in the foyer, yet spoke to everyone around us. Greeting was very sterile, no smile, just a recited way to explain the facilities and room. I didn't like how the hotel changed their policy to "no children" after we had already booked when the policy allowed children. This took 5 days to resolve and they honoured it. Very sterile environment, no warmth, no local staff.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Bed and pillows were so comfy and the staff at the resort went out of their way to make our stay special, including a romantic dinner in the beach/bar area. Our villa was breathtaking. My husband was on crutches and their help including moving him around in the golf cart was great, especially as we did not know they had one. Also the spa a wonderful experience.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This resort is incredible - stunning location, amazing service, friendly staff, well equipped rooms, outstanding standard of dining, they think of everything and surprise you with a little bit more. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: All meals, including breakfast were of a very high standard. The service was very friendly and generally to a very high standard. We enjoyed the poolside cocktails, snorkelling and kayaking in the lagoon and exploring the island by bicycle and scooter. We were able to find swimming beaches and experience local cafes and fast food when exploring, with the promise of absolute comfort on our return.
Cons: One problem we experienced on our second night was, despite a specific request, a spicy meal being served to someone who is spice intolerant and could not eat the meal. The staff were very apologetic. We were not quite as satisfied with the Bishops cruise to One Foot Island. The snorkel gear was old/broken and dirty (mouthpieces and screens) - detergent not supplied to clean the screen with: so we could not enjoy the snorkelling as much. The food was disappointing and so was the absence of water from what is included in the tour. - Just charge a bit more (if you need to) and include it!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: First class facilities. Magnificent location and views. Friendly efficient happy staff
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Gilligan's Island like experience right on the beach! Amazing sunsets. Super-nice hosts. Great island and beaches. Access to grocery stores. Best snorkeling on the island right outside your room!
Cons: Have to pay for all the amenities (bikes, boards, etc) -- set up just like Ryan Air or Easy Jet; some bugs, though the mosquito nets help; took awhile for the towels to dry and no maid service.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The host is super nice and friendly!! And location is perfect!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The snorkeling area just in front of the hut. The tour organised by Matt (we saw some turtles and many fish).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We stayed in the Reef Hut which was great. Comfy and a good sea breeze! Riki and Matthias are great and we took the boat trip from the huts which was an amazing morning out!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Just a beutiful place to enjoy your peaceful vacation! The best place on the island!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly hosts, great location and cosy little huts.
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Couldn't have ask for a better beachfront hut if we tried. Great beach and snorkeling right outside the front door... and like others have said, we too think it was the best beach on Aitutaki! Great access to local shops and stores for all that you need and a basic, but functional, little kitchenette perfect for breakfast and lunch to keep the budget on track. Bicycles for Island exploring and Paul (Lisa was out of "town" during our stay) was always available to answer questions or book activities as needed. All the amenities you could ask for in a true AFFORDABLE little beach hut! Thanks for a great stay Paul - we'll DEFINITELY be back!

Excellent 9.2
Pros: Our room was terrific! Loved being so close to the water and to go snorkelling and swimming. Loved having the outdoor showing and our own patio to have friends over. Restaurant was great and very relaxing.
Cons: The only fly in the ointment was having use of free bicycles that broke down; on one the chain kept coming off and another the handle bars became so loose they flopped down and couldn’t ride or steer. I didn’t expect brand new bikes, but it’s sours the experience when we have to walk your bike back 3-4kms from near the other side of the island and there’s no one who can help.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Our stay was amazing. We really appreciated the gesture from the property of gifting us a complimentary bottle of wine as they knew we were on our honeymoon. The room was very nice and private, as the resort is not that big and there aren't that many guests. Really liked the outdoor shower. The beach in front of the property was amazing, perfect for snorkelling and practising kayak and paddle surf, which were available to use for free for the resort guests. Dinner at the restaurant was superb, different themes and choices every night, and very high quality dinner.
Cons: Continental breakfast was great, but after a few days it got a bit repetitive. Also, from a resort like this, we are used to complimentary cooked breakfast, which in this case was not included in the room price. About the shower, which was great, just to point out that it was a little bit tricky to adjust the right temperature for showering.
Good 7.9
Pros: The food was very good and the restaurant was at the beachfront. Lovely island nights and bbqs with a large variety of Polynesian food. The hotel manager was very friendly and always attended these events telling the guests how his family built the hotel etc. All the bungalows have a view to the beach.
Good 7.5
Pros: outdoors shower and comfy bed
Cons: Hassled by reception asking to remove a bed not once 3 x whilst trying to eat a cooked brekkie, lost my appetite.after repeatedly telling her to cheçk my booking to see what i had purchased, she never did?? Also whilst paying my bill the afternoon 2/01/19 before the departure date 03/01/19, i settled and paid one bungalow approximately $4.000.. Only to be told the other bungalow cost $8.000, i felt very anxious and told receptionist there's something serious wrong and she replied..sorry this the final total you owe.. I was so distressed and felt bloody confused and told her ill be back on the 3rd! Ruined my evening! Not good for business hey!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The property is beautiful. The beachfront bungalow has a great layout and an amazing view. The restaurant is a great place for a meal with a very friendly staff.
Cons: Maybe the location of the bar could be more conducive for socializing. Possibly in the restaurant? Or next to it.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The location was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: The food served at Tamanu is appalling; the waste must be extra-ordinary because very few people we spoke to ate their meals as the quality was so bad. We completely accept that the restaurant was an additional cost, but when there are so few other places to eat, it would have been better for the Tamanu to serve decent meals. The Wi-fi is at best sporadic. The beach was full of broken coral, stones and debris. They get rid of the debris by burning it during the day, so the beach is covered in smoke. Next door is a back-packers; other guests were pretty hacked off by the all night parties and loud music, although we were not affected. The cost of Tamanu is high, the facilities tired and the food terrible; not my idea of paradise.
Good 6.7
Pros: Nice location and the rooms were well appointed.
Cons: Some of the staff could work on their customer service but the rest is the locals are extremely friendly. The day spa needs some work and other products. The facial I received was sub standard for the price.

Pros: Elaine at Reception was super friendly & helpful. View is spectacular!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful, especially Maria and Nora
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Aitutaki Village is set on beautiful lagoon- crystal clear water
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We stayed here for 4 nights and our villas were well presented and clean. The best thing about Aitutaki Village is the location, the staff were also amazing thank you auntie Love and Maria for making our stay amazing.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Easy walk to Koru Cafe and Boat Shed restaurant. Quiet area. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was so friendly. Restful area.
Cons: Did not care for the restaurant except for breakfast. No snorkeling in area.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Elaine the host was fabulous and very welcoming and helpful! Thanks again for an amazing stay and helping us making our trip comfortable and unforgettable. Elaine is a champion in assisting with tours and organizing everything :)
Cons: Nothing - everything was great!
Good 7.0
Pros: The location was excellent, right on O'otu Beach overlooking the magnificent lagoon but not near the town centre. The room was large, sparsely furnished and with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean. A/C and a fan and a veranda with table and chairs. The restaurant served good breakfasts (eggs available on request) included in the tariff. 2-person kayaks available (with safety vests) for free, bikes for rent. Plastic beach lounges available but limited numbers. Safe swimming and wading. Lagoon cruises with snorkeling and BBQ available. Suitable for adults and children.
Cons: Dinner meals were small and we ate mostly at the nearby "Boatshed". Not enough beach lounges for all guests.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The breakfast was great and the lagoon was amazing. Maria is an awesome host!
Cons: It’s too bad that there aren’t any snorkeling opportunities right around the hotel, but the snorkelling down near One Foot Island was unreal!
Okay 5.0
Pros: I like the cleanliness of the room and the airport transfers included
Cons: The grounds were mediocre. Nothing much is provided, no snorkeling masks, or bicycles. The restaurant is very limited and could have a huge improvement.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Great hostess! They really make you feel at home while still providing you with the travel advise and arrangements that you may need as a tourist on holidays. A couple of examples: - they suggested we did a lagoon cruise, but instead of trying to sell one, they understood what we would like to do and arranged for the perfect product for us - when it was time to check out they were proactive on enquiring what was our outbound flight. Since it was in the afternoon and our room wasn’t needed we were invited to stay well past the checkout time (before we ever asked...)
Cons: The service at the in-house “blue lagoon” restaurant is very slow and a lot of times you end up having to ask for the same things more than one time. The staff (with the exception of one lady) always seems a bit distracted or not very motivated.

Pros: The bed was amazing and the breakfast was very big and delicious.
Cons: I was placed in bungalow 1, it was so windy the first day that I felt like the walls would fall down. The staff would come around 6 and they were chatting very loudly which would bounce off the walls and wake me up every day. They would also yell at some of the staff which made it very uncomfortable. I’m afraid I would not return here.
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: The fact that we had booked one night only and moved out of there fast
Cons: 1. Impossible to sleep with the noise of the roosters as of 5am. Plenty of them around the property 2. Too much noise from the road (adjacent to the property) 3. One lady of the staff is extremely rude
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Can’t fault Rinos at all. Both Rino and Na were fantastic. If you’re considering staying anywhere else, don’t. This is the best Aitutaki experience you can have and the location gives you the best blend of island culture and relaxing paradise.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Family atmosphere, everyday cleaning, perfect breakfast. Thank you for everithing.
Cons: Just not best location, but you know before you book this accommodation.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location was amazing. Food was amazing. Staff were amazing - treated us like family.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Rino's staff make the stay, Nga and Ma and the team are welcoming, friendly, funny, caring, inviting, inclusive and a wealth of knowledge. They were more than willing to answer any questions, make any plans and give the best advice about the island and what was going on. The breakfasts are AMAZING! Pancakes, cereal, toast, coffee, island fruits fresh and tasty every day - but the best thing - EVER - is the freshly made juice, I wish I could have brought the recipe home. Having the rentals there also, just so accommodating and friendly. We had to change our rental plan and it was no issue at all. So easy. From the moment we got off the plane at Aitutaki and were greeted by Nga with the most fragrant fresh flower lei, and from then on things just got better and better. I am already making plans to go back within the next year and will definitely look to stay and Rino's again.
Cons: For what we wanted and needed, all expectations were blown out of the water in the best ways. It's mid range pricing with the best staff and great facilities. Nothing is far away on Aitutaki and the location is wonderful. I did run outta reading material on the one fully rainy day we had so maybe a few more books/magazines in the rooms or office would be cool (there was a few books lying around and some available at the store across the road)….other than that - hard to offer improvement advice.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Got a very warm welcome from Nga, who picked us up at the airport and always made sure that we have everything we needed. The rooms were perfectly clean and serviced every day. The breakfast was delicious including pancakes, cereals, toasts, local fruits, juice and coffee and tea. We also rented a scooter for the whole week for a reasonable price. Thank you for everything!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly welcome/farewell at the Airport and the complimentary transportation provided both ways is a wonderful bonus. I'd mentioned previously it was my birthday holiday and there was a lovely surprise greeting printed out for me in the room. The buffet breakfast offers plenty of choice and is always fresh and tasty. It was good being greeted daily by Na (spelling?) who made the guest experience feel more personal. And Jenny in the office was very helpful in trying to organise a private boat trip for me. The Aitutakians are naturally super friendly people (e.g, they will stop to offer you a lift when they see you walking). My last two nights were upgraded to Room 8, directly overlooking the lagoon, and it was definitely worth my paying the supplement to escape the extreme humidity with air con during low season, and to relax in the shade with the tropical postcard views and the sounds of nature all around.
Cons: The ONLY thing was the noise from some heavy-footed guests pacing back and forth across their room above me while I was in Room 4 (hence my request to move to another room). But they did me a big favour in the end as I never would have discovered Room 8 otherwise...

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Private islands quite and nice.White sandy beach.Good food
Cons: None
Excellent 9.0
Pros: - very nice beach and perfect views - very comfortable Rooms - nice wooden materials - great location
Cons: - breakfast is very poor for such a hotel - staff not always motivated
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Absolutely amazing stay here for 3 days. Amazing welcome at the airport with flowers and a fresh, cold coconut! Didn't have to worry about luggage, all in the room when we arrived. Staff were great and everywhere was very clean. Over water bungalows were just amazing, exceeded expectations. Beach bar food was amazing, great fish sandwiches!! Great taxi service too, never had to wait. Free bikes to get around, amazing but they're in pretty bad condition.
Cons: Breakfast was below expectations. Fruit was poor, not very fresh apart from the watermelon. No other exotic fruit which we definitely expected to have lots of. Cocktails were quite poor, took about 20 minutes from ordering and they weren't great. Bikes could do with a spruce-up, very old and worn!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved this place - what a get away. Private island and resort with the prettiest lagoon imagined. We would come back here in a heart beat... spent days laying on the soft sand in the warm clear water enjoying the hospitality of the staff or taking a kayak ride to another island...
Good 7.9
Pros: Lovely surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, good range of food at restaurant
Cons: Location was a long way from “town”, the price per night is expensive and does not cover things such as: use of laundry, cooked breakfast, wifi which we would usually expect to be included in a stay at a 5 star resort.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff were so friendly and helpful, fantastic food, excellent location!
Cons: That we only stayed one night
Excellent 8.0
Pros: We had an over water bungalow, which was absolutely amazing and worth it to be able to wake up to the worlds most beautiful lagoon. The views of the stunning turquoise water are truly endless, even on a cloudy day the water colour is brilliantly blue and majestic. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and also super easy going expressing the true Aitutaki island vibe. The bonus of having UNLIMITED water activities such as kayaking and paddle boarding and snorkeling with all gear provided is a huge advantage, you will never get bored here. There are three smaller islands to the south of the private island resort which are all accessible from the resort via kayak or paddle board - a great way to get some even more private time on your own private beach on an uninhabited Island. Be sure to take your camera as the views from every inch of the private Island are to die for - including the small narrow stretch of water that separates it from the main land, the water there also was so turquoise blue it looked almost like it were man made! The resort also includes an environmental effort by giving you $20 credit towards your stay for each day you elect not to have your bed sheets changed (fresh towels are still provided) which can be spent at the restaurant or bar or spa. We had SUCH an amazing time here that during our stay we began discussing when we would be coming back to stay here again.
Cons: To be honest, the restaurant at the private Island is disappointing and a bit of a joke - but don’t let this deter you from your stay as here as there are other separate cafe’s, smaller resorts, and bars all within an easy bike ride or walk away from where the boat drops you off (free bikes provided at the resort to each unit which you can take off the island on the boat, just make sure you’re back before 10pm!). The resort restaurant needlessly goes to the efforts of presenting food on fancy plates and fancy styling at the cost of ridiculously reduced portion sizes particularly vegetarian options. By comparison other resorts such as the Pacific offer similar prices for food however portion sizes are great - well worth the taxi ride there. Also this resort is beginning to show its age, however hides it with the tiki decor. The reception area could use a facelift and the restaurant too. One final comment, the restaurant had a few chickens that would occasionally make their way into the dining area during breakfast. This isn’t a good reflection on the sort of premium offering this resort is trying to host and these chickens should be fenced off so they don’t disturb guests whilst dining. Can excuse other flying birds that make their way in but the chickens shouldn’t be allowed in.

Pros: First off, the Paradise Cove Lodges are truly a wonderful budget option for Aitutaki. Many of the other places to stay are well above the very reasonable cost of the Lodges. The Lodges (beachfront ones) are very nice, clean, with a great ceiling fan, screens, kitchen facilities and a nice bed. Usually the ocean breezes keep you comfortable. They have a great balcony to watch the sunsets or for lounging around. The beach in front of the lodges is nice, but be sure you bring water shoes because there are lots of coral. There is a nice place to swim in front of the lodge (in fact folks came from places down the beach to swim here). The snorkeling is OK but compared to the other places to snorkel on the East side of the island in the stunning lagoon, there is no comparison. All in all, an nice budget option. The staff of the lodge are really nice and accommodating. They will go out of their way to help you. The restaurant serves good food, but in off season, it sometimes has sporadic hours. The drinks at happy hour are a good deal, especially the beer and wine. The breakfast we basic but they had good fresh fruit. And other than Puffy's (serving excellent fish and chips) there are no other close by places to eat. The paid Wifi at the reception area and restaurant worked very well.
Cons: Now the caveat - hot water. We did not have consistent hot water in the 9 days we were there. We were told a number of times they were working on it, but it got to be a bit of a pain (chill!) taking cold showers days after day. The hot water would sometimes come on for about 15 seconds, but that was usually it. In their defense, we used one of their family units the last day for late check out and we both had very nice warm showers, so I do believe them that they were working on fixing the problem (some parts of the property are on different hot water systems. Would I stay there again? Not until I got confirmation about the hot water. But next time we come back, we will probably go for a place on the East side (the lagoon side) of the island. But if you want a decent budget place to stay, I recommend the Paradise Cove.

Pros: As described, great low budget accommodation. Best on the island.
Good 7.1
Pros: Facilities good to use although old time. Plenty of hot water.
Cons: Cleanliness can be improved. Ants everywhere and some giant cockroaches, even crawling on to bed and into suitcases, house should be fumigated before receiving guests. Mosquito killing incense is being provided.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great value accommodation. Queen Tutai picked me up and dropped me off at the airport without issue. Loved the peaceful location. Loved the friendly staff - such nice people to be around and converse with. Great location to explore the back roads south of the accommodation. Lovely drinking coconuts nearby (if you have a sharp knife). Thanks to all for a lovely peaceful relaxing holiday - hope to return one day.
Cons: Zero
Excellent 8.0
Pros: It is located in a garden so it is beautiful to be around all of the Greenery. It is a lot of space for the price
Cons: Difficult to get around the island from here by foot
Okay 5.0
Pros: The garden is really beautiful, lots of trees and flowers, lots of beds
Cons: I think it would be very important to note that the payment is made exclusively by cash and it was not written anywhere. Also the wifi connection is very poor
Okay 5.4
Cons: The toilet seat needs replacing, the towels were marked and needed to be renewed as the fan needs to be upgraded the light oven the bed needs a shade to stop the glare the dangerous corner coming into the property needing clearing ,
Good 7.0
Pros: The bungalow is nice, in the middle of a wonderful guarden. It is a very quite place. The ownes is very nice and helpful.
Cons: In spite of the mosquitos nets, there weete quite lot of bugs inside, sowing up at different time. For this readon, it is necessary to keep food in the fridge and the space may become insufficient with only a small fridge. Daily fumigation should be considered to maintain bugs under control.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Hospitality was amazing, very friendly and willing to help.
Cons: Nothing. Loved it all.
