An island location is somewhat special Good for taking a walk or a swim
The property is run down and not up to today's standards Furniture and beds old and not comfortable No workable WIFI - because of the weather (explanation by hotel mgmt) Staff not helpful and site management not visible Restaurant quality below Southern France standards
A return after our honeymoon 5 years ago as the Hotel is set on an Island so separation from the crowds. Staff wonderful. The swimming around the island is great in crystal clear waters. We went in the slow season so not many people which was great. Sunsets amazing.
Sadly, the Hotel and Island have become run down. Rust on the Hotel windows, coral retaining walls need patching, tennis courts cracked and uneven. It seems like no-one cares about the bigger picture. The vision once created by Paul Ricard is starting to fade. Even the lovely tribute room to him is gone. The instant coffee in the room is undrinkable with only paper cups provided. This is what 2 star Hotels do. You get the feeling that Management are cutting corners which makes no sense in a 4 star Hotel. A local told us that Paul Ricards son passed away and it's now run by the grand children which could explain things.
The location, view on the sea and complimentary upgrade for my birthday to a beautiful room withmagnificent views . Beach small but clean and nicely kept
Pricey restaurant pricey drinks , pool nice but top few places around pool to lie down for sunbathing
Location unbelievable, food was perfection, staff was incredible.
Ac didn't work great, and the noise level a bit high.
1. Registration((((( The hotel is on island. The hotel does not care about its guest, no explanation how to get to and no schedule of ferries. But what is absolutely ridiculous is that reception person with any single word in English! When I call this lady to know how to get to the hotel (where is the stop of ferries and where is the nearest car parking) I was stunned by talking to her. She didn't speak English, even very simple words, like absolute non-educated person in deepest village... It was impossible to talk to her. How could it be in 4 star hotel??? When at last we arrived in 23:00 she asked somebody working in restaurant to come down in sleepers to talk to us in English... 2. No lift in the... 4 stars... hotels. You will need to go by stairs with all your luggage. 3. Towels are DIRTY, grey color. 4. The hotel doesn't communicate with it guests by e-mail even if you send e-mail via Booking.com. Booking.com is also doesn't care about it... I was trying to book a table in hotel's restaurant, nobody replied... 5. Noise and sound insulation in rooms are ZERO. You hear all words of speaking persons in neighbor room, all steps, all creaks, all other sounds... 6. Ferries to Bandol go not often. You should wait for 40 mins at least. 7. The hotel is bad and absolutely OVERPRICED. I don't recommend it.
When you stay at Hotel Le Delos in Bandol, you'll be by the sea and steps from Ile de Bendor. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room.
