Be careful!!!

Pros: the value for the car was excellent, location was easy to get to/from, the rental agents when we picked up the car were efficient and fast, friendly in a reserved Swiss way.

Cons: Upon returning the car, we were informed we would be charged for damage which stunned us as we'd been so careful in those tiny spaces in parking houses, etc. Turns out we had scratches, NOT cracks, dents or missing parts, but SCRATCHES on our plastic hubcaps!!!!! Are you serious??? And for these scratches on two hubcaps, we were charged 75 CHF each! My Swiss father-in-law said he bought 4 new ones for his year old Jeep for 37 CHF....sorry but this was borderline scamming in my opinion. So, while the rental was a great deal, the car was awesome on gas and location fine, be aware there could possibly be unreasonable charges at the end. We rent cars all the time internationally and locally in San Diego and this was the first time we have ever encountered such ticky-tacky charges and horrible customer service by the one female agent in the office. The ones when we went to pick up the rental were great and one of them was also there when we returned the car. Unlike her co-worker who seemed only intent on making sure we understood we screwed up, she was emphatic and kind. I am still fuming about the one's unbendable, uncaring attitude and thank goodness I have a credit card company which will deal with this issue.
