Was no car at the location, transferred to another location - did not get the midsize car ordered but a tiny Kia and yet the price didn’t change. The worst was that the price originally given was not in Canadian funds but US funds this essentially increased the cost of the rental being given incorrect info. These surprises made the rental a poor experience. Was not happy that I kept getting texts asking g how satisfied I was with the car and service- everyday- excessive!!

Premium SUV
I reserved a Cadlllac UV and was given a dirty VW SUV
Avis gentleman at pick up was extremely helpful and cheerful. He came across as being very professional in his work. One of the issues I had was the inability to charge my Android phone as there were no USB ports (all I could see were Apple charger ports). As a result my phone had died and I lost my GPS to find my way back to the Hamilton Airport. I ended up taking a number of wrong ways but eventually made it to the airport but had no time to refill the fuel, so regrettably I will be charged a premium for the field I used. My recommendation is to equip the car with at least an adapter for the cigarette lighter slot to accommodate either Android phone ports or a USB port IF for some reason there were these boards they are not easily identified nor found as I have searched when I finally got to the airport and could not find any to suit my connection

Arrived on location only to find out car is not available but website confirmed it.
When I reserved the car I had the currency on Canadian dollars. When I checked with hertz about my rental they gave me a completely different price, insisting the reservation was made in American dollars. I cancelled and got a much better deal through Costco and enterprise.
