In addition, how many passengers or bags you are carrying may affect the kind of car you rent. Pros:The worst experience with a rental I have ever had. I went to pick up my car from AVIS to be told that there were no rentals available. I showed them my booking receipt from KAYAK, which apparently meant nothing to AVIS. I asked why they didn’t contact me in the 4 days between booking and picking up and they told me that KAYAK didn’t provide them with my email and mobile phone details so they were not able to contact me. I had plans already made and had bookings in another city which I needed the car for travelling to. Alternative last minute car booking with another car hire company cost me double of that which I had budgeted for with KAYAK. Will never use KAYAK again and will advice friends and family of the hardship and inconvenience caused by the booking company.
Cons:Deliver on your bookings!!!
