2.5 Mediocre
Pros: a perfect stay in Colmar
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This boutique accommodation is part of a grand old house in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by equally beautiful properties. We were in a room on the grand floor that had a huge bathroom with super modern facilities and a separate bathtub. Breakfast served in the salon was also fantastic, which included something different each day, and Florence, the host, was always on hand looking after everyone for their needs. We will definitely return here one day!
Cons: The hotel is about 20 min walk to the old town of Colmar but we enjoyed the walk every day through beautiful parks and historical buildings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the large room on the ground floor, room 2. The air conditioning was quiet and efficient. Parking was great and it was only a ten to 15 minute walk into Colmar. The surrounding area has lots of big characterful houses. There was a music festival on while we stayed for 3 nights and parking was at a premium. We enjoyed a few games of pool.
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Historic home in a pleasant residential area; short walk to a hotel restaurant near the train station; congenial owner; comfortable, spacious room and huge double sink bathroom with freestanding tub
Cons: A sitting area other than in our room ( which had a comfy sofa) would have been nice

Pros: Beautiful old French Mansion converted into a hotel. Very cool! The host was amazing as well. Excellent stay and will be back! Walking distance to the Gare and the old town.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy place, spacious suite helpful host and delicious changing variety for breakfast. Place is very quiet and peaceful, has cinema room, kids play area, pool table and chess .. it has a sauna room as well. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. The bathroom had obviously recently been renovated and looked good and worked well. There is ample parking capacity attached to the hotel at a reasonable charge.
Cons: The hotel is located a few steps only from downtown Colmar (but in a neighborhood without any charm). The room was relatively small for a king size bed and the storage capaciry of the closets was limited.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient place, close to the old town Colmar, staff were very welcoming & helpful
Cons: No black tea in my room, but this was happily corrected. There were the usual comments about use of towels, more than once etc but in the bathroom they had plastic glasses in plastic bags & plastic spoons for your tea, the two seem contradictory to me.

Pros: Lovely modern hotel in a good area for the city with parking
9.6 Excellent

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were given very adequate rooms; one was a suite - at no extra cost - for my son and his family. This was a very generous and much appreciated gesture by the hosts/managers. The breakfast offered was excellent.
Cons: We arrived in town at noon and had to wait until 3 pm to check in
6.7 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: The fact that the hotel is closed daily between 11am and 3pm, ( nobody is at the reception ,nobody answers the phone ) makes it impossible for the guests to leave the luggage in the hotel lobby. A daily luggage service is what we expect from a 3 stars hotel. The interior design of the hotel does not cope with its external charm.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The best breakfast I had on my whole trip. Eguisheim is a beautiful village filled with wine-tasting shops with a wonderful variety of fine wines to taste.
Cons: When I arrived around noon to just drop my bags and find out where I could park when I returned to check in, the hotel was locked up tight as a drum. No way to get any info or drop my bags.

Pros: We've stayed in this hotel several times. It's location is excellent - close to motorway so easy to access and easy to get back on the motorway. It has secure parking and is only a 10 minute walk from the beautiful city of Colmar. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, breakfast is included in the price and is excellent with loads of choice. We both agreed that the bed was extremely comfortable. We'll definitely be back. We were given a half bottle of wine on leaving - a happy bonus!
Cons: Nothing at all to complain about.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: -Staff -room facilities -location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Easy to access from main routes and a short walk to the town centre. Also near the station. Room was comfortable and well equipped with a kettle and a coffee machine and a complimentary bottle of mineral water. Good blinds so a dark room was simple to achieve. I slept for 10 hours without being disturbed. Breakfast was a pretty good choice, no croissants but fresh pancakes were nice. All staff were polite, friendly and efficient. They seemed to be able to speak in different languages too. I was given a street plan without being asked with directions to the central areas to explore.
Cons: The underground car park wasn’t immediately easy to see from the street (entrance in the adjacent street by the station). However I managed to park in the small car park right by the hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great and friendly staff. Good breakfast with plant based milks and yoghurts!
Cons: Just outside the city centre

Cons: The mattress wasn’t comfortable but that’s probably just personal preference! A few more milks/coffee sachets in the room would’ve been good.

Pros: The function in the room is well designed. The room is spacious for 4 people. Bathroom is big and the shower is perfect. It’s only 7-8 minutes walking distance to colmar center. The hotel has its own parking. Very comfortable.
Cons: The washbasin in the bathroom is too shallow so there’s small gap between the tap and the washbasin. Not so practical for usage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well designed space. Very practical
4.0 Okay
Pros: Great location, room a decent size with many useful add ons, very clean and a very comfy bed, bathroom had both a large walk in shower and bath which was great and a separate toilet which was really helpful with kids
Cons: We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children, when we arrived I was very disappointed to find the children’s bed was not made up, we figured out how to alter the sofa bed into 2 singles but no bedding, also only 2 towels, on speaking to reception they said ok we will give you a bedding pack, no offer to go and make the beds, 162 euro for one night and you have to make your own beds! Definitely would not recommend to a family to stay and we will certainly not be staying again,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location, facility
Cons: Everything went fine
7.9 Good
Pros: the location
Cons: it is 4 star hotel but the guest should go at the reception to collect iron/board etc after 4 or 5 pm !!! I was surprised . & receptionists were confused with our tour schedules & the hotel did not assist us on the tourist attractions , we have to them out ! & the breakfast was the same every single day .. no change !!!!

Pros: Shower excellent! Size of room excellent.

Cons: I know we had not booked a table but there was no table available that evening which I find not acceptable after a long journey! but the hotel found another local restaurant which was great. The prices on the menu, bar etc was extremely high so if you are looking for a cost effective holiday then no, or eat out and enjoy. Also if you like to dress down then this is not a place to visit.

Pros: Excellent central location. Very good dinner and breakfast in an attractive dining room by the canal. We enjoyed sitting in the small peaceful courtyard away the busy streets.

Cons: WIFI is a joke. Also, there should be a way to get ice yourself.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Situated next to the canal, very comfortable beds, thick towels! Good coffemachine and coffee in the room.
Cons: We were staying in the nextdoor appartments, poor seventies entrance to the room with demaged walls, rat feeding box next to front door! Stains on carpet in the room

Pros: Location good, clean, excellent staff and service.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice to have English beakfast itams but never very hot when left on a buffet Luggage trolley was very useful Bed and shower good Good to have small fridge in room wiyh complimentery water
Cons: Too much single use plastic - needs addressing! Having two hotels with the same name (almost- one budget on prestige) is very silly. I , like most people went to the wrong one first which was annoying. Not a good start. BETTER SIGNING FOR DIRECTIONS WOULD HELP
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is how a real hotel should be: comfortable, nice rooms, nice furniture, good breakfast and friendly service. Value for money!
Cons: Toilet could have been cleaner (some dust/ spider webs not removed). While one could take breakfast until 10.30, furniture was already removed while people had breakfast.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Slept well.
Cons: Did not meet our 4 star expectations. It started with the reception who was surprised we wanted to check in early. No “how was your travel, how are you doing etc”. Very poor English. Eventually the room was available which we did not expect. Horrible lighting throughout the hotel. Expect bright white LED lighting everywhere including in your room. After a shower in the room the whole bathroom was soaked. Staff does not greet you when passing by the reception, even with eye contact (happened multiple times). We slept well but the breakfast the next day was a joke. Only 2 staff members to facilitate 50+ guests. Food was not refilled timely, tables were left as is afterward guests left. After giving this feedback to the reception at checkout the answer was the hotel was very busy with 160 guests, guess what, not my problem. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel at 160 euro a night. Will never come back.

6.7 Good
Pros: The room.bed.bathroom fantastic breakfast
Cons: The satnav could not locate the hotel
9.6 Excellent
Cons: The location, although right by a main highway, was in more of an industrial area, with little restaurant options close by.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location with short walk to key areas of downtown and restaurants
Cons: No elevator in remodeled area so when others were carrying suitcases up it was difficult and very noisy. The remodeling was very well done in the suites that provided a very nice layout. Staff was very helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is super cute and unique. It doesn't feel like you're staying in a sterile hotel chain, you really feel like you're staying in a French house! The room we had was in the property behind the main building, which I totally recommend because our room had so much character. The bed was very comfortable. The windows opened up on to the cobblestone street below. The shower was life changing. I would absolutely recommend the breakfast here - there were so many options and it allowed us to start our day right away. They have a great courtyard next to the lobby for lounging or eating breakfast. Free street parking is close by. The hotel is in a really great location, just steps away from lots of activity and the canals that the town is known for. I would definitely recommend this place!
Cons: The only problem we had was the air conditioner didn't work during our stay. It was a hot week in Colmar and after driving from the airport in Paris to Colmar after an overnight flight, we showed up pretty late to the hotel (10pm) and the air didn't work. Luckily, the hotel provided us with two tall fans and gave us free breakfast to compensate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was centrally located, directly on the river. The staff was welcoming, friendly and professional.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic. We had places to relax in the main hotel. The staff is very nice.
Cons: Breakfast was just okay.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location and the breakfast
Cons: I'm actually requesting a full refund; even though, the rate was changed (50%) off. I wasn't able to sleep because there the air conditioning in our room didn't work and there was no alternative room to switch to. The WiFi was also horrible - essentially it didn't work. So I was very tired to drive with my son the next morning as well as get any work done after dinner. My son couldn't sleep either, so it was basically, like paying for something that I didn't agree to and I had stayed there three times previously. I would like a full refund. Please call me again - I was craving and couldn't take your call when I was still abroad.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Too much noise from outside and the air conditioning didn’t work, the staff have bad attitude and the manager is utterly unprofessional and irresponsible in addition to a horrible attitude, I blame booking.com for introducing this hotel

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, garage inside the building is very spacious and practical. Location is great, rooms are quiet. Selection at the buffet was good, only the fresh fruit salad did not look so fresh.
Cons: room very small. Fortunately we left most of our luggage in the car and took only what was needed for our stay. We loaded also directly in the car the cases of wine we bought. IN the room it would have been a bit too tight.

Pros: garage
Cons: very small room no restaurant ar any other facility (buffet, bistro, etc)

Pros: It was a pleasure to be right inside the walls of this beautiful town with all the restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. You do however need to carry your luggage up the stairs. Check in was easy and parking close. Would highly recommend staying here.
Cons: Our one room on the front side of the property was a bit noisy even though it was on the second floor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a nice and welcoming hotel (we’ve stayed here three times the last five years) with good breakfast (although the coffee could be brewed with a bit more love). The staff is friendly and they have a honesty bar open to the guests when the rest of Riquewihr (apart from the crazy night club - yes, there is one in this little town) closes at 10 pm.
Cons: The rooms can sometimes be slightly hot during summer but there are fans available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for us, it is a lovely quiet spot. We were so glad to have reserved parking with the hotel. It made it stress free and parking was just a short distance from the hotel. We were in a new section of the hotel and the room was brand new and very comfortable. They upgraded us which was very kind.
Cons: Nothing. Get reservations for dinner in Riquewihr, the restaurants all fill up.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was convenient and the amount of food on offer was very adequate. The restaurant staff were very friendly.
Cons: I would have liked more variety in the pastries, jams (preserves) and fruit juices on offer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We couldn’t love this place anymore, the front desk was super helpful and offered Great advice on places to eat and visit. Our room was spectacular, we were in the newer building, but still had the old world charm we were craving. The bathroom was large with a wonderful soaking tub. The location was perfect for exploring Riquewihr.

Hôtel Saint-Martin - Colmar - Building

8.6 Excellent (1,112 reviews)
C$ 158+
Overview Reviews
Hôtel Saint-Martin is in the heart of Colmar, within a 5-minute walk of Saint-Matthews Protestant Church and Little Venice. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very old French looking place, right in the middle of the town, you step out, there’s supermarket across the road with 2 euro for a cup of cherries, and 1.70 euro tinned Choucroute generously with sausages and pork slice just exactly like the label shows, so cheap. Restaurants, brasseries and bistros are abundant just from next door. Staying here has a perk that if you wander around the town in the morning before the tour groups swamp in, you have a wonderful view of the town architecture covered in Golden morning sunlight worth ultimate serenity.
Cons: To the modern style standard, it’s bit dark, gloomy and dirty, but actually it is feeling that an old classic style hotel can offer. If you are into classic old town experience, go for it; if you are fussy about brightness and hygiene, this is not the place for you.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room, the best location of the hotel, in the heart of old city and in the same time very quiet even restaurants in front of the building! Perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: What a great place. We arrived here for a stopover during the heatwave on the way home after a long drive having had a week of very hot weather in Italy and as we approached the hotel that was located right in the Centre of this busy tourist town we were worried our room might be hot and possibly noisy from the bars and cafes that surround it - but what a nice surprise, even though our room was on the first floor directly above the street it was wonderfully cool from the air conditioning and with excellent soundproofing. We had a lovely time exploring the town in the evening and when we retired back for the night we had a super cool and quiet nights sleep. Fantastic !.
Cons: Wish we were staying longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: THE LOCATION, THE STAFF, THE BUILDING. wE ARE VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS HOTEL.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location Well isolated windows Comfortable beds Beautiful old house
Cons: Some lights were nor working Hair dryer pretty old Poor breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed and quiet room. Good shower. Had high end fittings and fixtures. Pretty view onto courtyard. Brilliant central location.
Cons: My room was a 4G black spot and I couldn't get the WiFi working. My phone may have been the problem but I've never had an issue elsewhere.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is in the main road in the centrum. Few meters far away from the most famous attractions. The suite room is large, clean and with a great atmosphere.
Cons: Since the hotel is located in the centrum of the town, there is no private parking, so it needs to search a park place in public parkings outside of the pedestrian zone (about 100 meters) .
7.5 Good
Pros: This property is very conveniently located to city center.
Cons: Breakfast in hotel would have been nice but their prices forced to dine elsewhere.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is center of city. It is very convenient.
Cons: Wifi is slow. Facility is a little bit old.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated on a beautiful cobblestone street in the heart of cute, quaint Colmar. If you visit in December, you'll also be staying next to one of the Christmas markets!
Cons: Breakfast is not included, so just something to be aware of.

6.0 Good
Pros: An old hotel in the centre of Colmar with lots of character. Our bedroom was comfortable, but quite noisy until early morning being right in the centre of the old town.

4.4 Okay
Pros: Very central - well sign-posted within the town
Cons: The parking situation is difficult. The carpark is heavily used by tourists to the town so getting a space is very difficult. I'm also not sure that parking is free (as mentioned on website) as there are parking meters in the carpark.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was good .
Cons: We were getting there late and they only had a few parking spots in the back of the building. It was in an awkward spot to drive in .So hard to get out with the added bonus of a cherry picker in your way too .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful. It is evident that they have really made an effort to renovate and rejuvenate the hotel. The rooms were nicely fitted out, sound proofed, extremely clean and included little details like a choice of pillows, tea and coffee making facilities, plenty of electric sockets and a great shower. Good breakfast.
Cons: Despite checking in advance, the storage room for the bicycles (actually the laundry room) was not secure. The door was open during the day, and our bikes were damaged by someone which prevented us from cycling the next day. The small room is filled with linen and you have to prop your bike up against others, with staff working around them. Not at all ideal. We put our bikes in our room the 2nd night. The bar is not yet up and running which was very annoying as it is advertised on the website. They are waiting for their licence. No shops nearby to buy anything. The Wi-Fi was broken for 3 days.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean, good value for money
Cons: Close to a road with high traffic
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice and fresh hotel. Small, clean and cozy rooms. Decent bed with selection of pillows. Friendly staff. Free parking.
Cons: While in near distance to old town, the hotel is in the dodgy end of the town. We felt unsafe walking to and from old town and saw one man being robbed by two drunk guys. Also nearby building seems to be a drug spot of the town.

Pros: 1. Location: about 10-15 mins from the central Gare or the city center. 2. Clean and tidy room 3. Breakfast is good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We paid extra for parking which was great, really nice to have safe parking spaces. Ideal to walk into the centre, only 10-15 minutes to all of the restaurants, bars and shops.
Cons: We did bump our heads on the overhead bed.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Quite a good location.
Cons: The corridors were scruffy and the shower room cramped. Car park was expensive and after adding in breakfast as well, it wasn’t the value originally expected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ease of booking, pet friendly, location and value for money.
Cons: Difficult to comment on improvements, but it is important to mention that you need to pre-book parking at this location which we always do.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was ideally situated for the centre of town and the train station. The hotel is a budget hotel so was basic but was clean and comfy. The parking was right next to the hotel and secure. There was a charge but it is a town centre location. The parking is to the right of the hotel so pull in, in the layby in front of the hotel to get the code or else you will have to go around the one way system again.
Cons: No kettle in the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great Central location. Good value for Money!!
Cons: Nothing realy to dislike. Not Very luxurius, but as expected!
