Very comfortable and quiet for such a central location. Owners and staff are very welcoming and friendly and breakfast was very good. Owner Patricia came round all the tables asking how are stay was and asked about our plans for the rest of the day.
Rooms a little dated
The building had a period feel to it, felt regal in parts. Breakfast was good and staff didn't mind us choosing between the menu. The Wi-Fi connection was good.
There was no lift, I would suggest checking before booking if you have a disability or have trouble taking the stairs. We didn't mind, but if you like to watch some T.V then you have to note there isn't one in the room, but there is a shared one in the lounge.
The beautiful staff at breakfast! The breakfast was lovely, they staff couldn't do enough for you, brochures galore on tours and maps ect,
The bed was very old and creeked and moaned, the bedding was extremely old and even torn, the pillows were extremely old and flat and smelly! I had to use towels to cover them, all beds and bedding definitely need to be replaced they were terrible!
Huge room, clean, comfortable
Shower wasn't great
I liked the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely the full English was very filling. Orange juice was delightful. I would recommend this hotel.
I wished it had been more central. I Had to walk back down Regent Road to get a hop on bus.
