The hotel location is truly amazing, with a beautiful view on the seaside
I must have slept on the worse used mattresses for years; the stores hiding the velux on the roof were out of function, so that the kids were awake much too early in the morning.

The hotel is situated in an amazing old farm house with stunning views of the village of Fécamp and the cliffs and beach. It was a great middle point to make day trips either way up and down the coast. The breakfast was lovely. The place is extremely quiet and relaxing. The courtyard is peaceful.
The rooms smelled damp - but this is to be expected from an old building near the ocean - the staff can only speak French with minimal english, which could be a problem for some guests.

The location was wonderful--on the top of a hill next to an interesting chapel, with a fantastic view of La Manche/The English Channel. We didn't see anyone when we arrived, but rather found our room key waiting for us next to a small map indicating the location of the room (we arrived around 7 PM). The room was unlocked. The room itself was two story, clean with basic furnishings. The location of the hotel is great; we had a nice view of the surrounding rolling hills and wonderful wooly lambs that were grazing. It was also very quiet! Good stopover between Giverny/Honfleur and Mont St. Michel. The nearby port of Yport is very cute and Etretat has a wonderful view of the Alabaster Cliffs.
The bathroom was fine, but they really need to add a shower curtain and a rod to hold the shower head. This may have been the way things were done in France 25 years ago, but not anymore. It is a simple addition that would make a great deal of difference. Also, the room was very cold when we arrived and we didn't want to fiddle with the heating system, so we simply went to bed in our heavy sweat shirts and fleeces.

The dinner we had in the evening was superb and the service excellent
Would like to have had a proper bar to relax in anot to have to use one end of the dining room.
