Pro " Close to the beach "
Con " To start, I had written the host about the forest fires before arriving and after being assured that the smoke wasn’t bad, we decided to go ahead with the trip. The host clearly just wanted the money because you could barely go outside or see in front of yourself. There’s no way you can control these thing but the host could have at least been up front and honest. After that, it kind of all went to hell. I had to pay a large sum in cash and was not given a legitimate receipt, just a handwritten note. There were no amenities included for the price paid - shampoo, hair dryer, etc. And there was no A/C in the actual bedrooms, only one measley fan! So 2 of us were forced to sleep on the couch the entire weekend. "
