In- flight crew was upbeat and helpful. Fluid boarding. Food options for purchase ran low on healthy options half way through cabin. Mr Noodles soup is a very low end option. There's far better brands available on the market ie : Nongshim soon veggie and Nongshim Shin Black beef broth. As a diabetic; I would have ordered cheese and crackers but were sold out before row 20.
Long delay die to pet mix up. Also bags took forever to get to carousel
Pros: "Crew did the best they could under the conditions"
Cons: "There was a broken toilet that was very loud and created long line ups because economy only had use of the 1 bathroom while the first class had 2 bathrooms for so few people"
Cons: "More than an hour late departing. Added to that it was almost an hour before luggage appeared. Not West Jet’s fault but it made us even later resulting in some of our long drive of our drive to Grand Canyon being in the dark."
Cons: "No Food to buy available on board. We thought we could buy something. The coffee was good."
Cons: "The food could have been better. I don’t mind paying but some nicer, healthier choices would have been nice. It is airplane food so no real surprise. :)"
Cons: "Getting from one flight to the other was a major hassle. How many times do they have to check your boarding pass?"
Pros: "Excellent pre Boarding service and announcements; reasonably comfortable seats; great landing;"
Cons: "There are never gluten free options in the snacks; there were no entertainment systems on the plane - that's not important to me but perhaps it is to others."
Pros: "Crew were fairly attentive, have experienced better. Liked the Canadian entertainment options, even if very limited."
Cons: "Seats were okay, the plane is really showing it's age. Movie selection was very limited, and very dated."
Pros: "Pleasant staff"
Cons: "People get shocked from the rush of air soon after they board and close their air knobs overhead. The cabin was filled with lots of new bodies that had different ordour and perfume that it was good to have a strong ventilation but due to the strong air flow... Perhaps tell ppl to keep it open."
Pros: "First time flying a turboprop. Personnel were excellent and polite and overall experience was great."
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "The crew were super great I hit my head on a over head bun the stuff were vary caring asked how I felt and will take west jet again in future travels"
Cons: "Well noise was due too the plane but I got over it quick light crew were awesome was vary clean still had the new plane small intact keep up the great work west jet"
Pros: "The lady was calm at the gate, explaining that we wouldn’t be leaving and trying to help everyone flipping out. 1. Flight was delayed 2. More delayed, meaning we miss connections in Calgary 3. Canceled"
Cons: "While my flight was to Abbotsford, my final destination was to the US (Seattle). Canceling the flight meant I miss my 4 hour ride home from Abbotsford. When asking if I could change my final destination, only destinations in Canada would be allowed. I spent a fortune getting flights, planning rides, to make it home by the 26th and tend to responsibilities by the 27th. I realize weather delayed the flight, but once in Calgary, it would have been nice for WestJet to even scope the opportunity to get me home. #StrandedinCanada"
Pros: "Friendly Staff"
Cons: "Could not hear the Pilot. Emergency Exit instructions said too fast"
Pros: "Great no hassle way to get to Campbell River from Vancouver."
Pros: "Ontime flight, efficient check-in. Reasonable price for a 15 minute puddle jump."
Pros: "Wasn’t anything to like didn’t get on the flight thxs to yall"
Pros: "Courteous and helpful staff. Check in last was helpful in ensuring I knew certain details for future flights."
Cons: "No earplugs on loud plane"
Pros: "Airlin staff were great."
Cons: "Plane was 30+ minutes late. Announcer at Port Hardy Airport was unintelligible."
Cons: "They took us out to the plane then made us wait for several minutes in the rain before they would let us board the aircraft."
The plane could not be located at Toronto, leading to signifiant delay. Then when the plane finally was brought to the gate, it was too cold and had to be heated, making further delays.
Professional staff. Good service. Enough carry on luggage space. Good plane...smooth, reasonable seat sizes.
They were having “flow control “ issues in Boston per the overhead announcement by flight staff. So they boarded us, had us sit for several minutes l, then made their flow control delay announcement. Then pushed away and went and parked the plane with us on it, outlying of the way…. Were we darker for 1.5 more hours. 1625 departure became 1810, avoidably lengthening everyone’s trip, messing up connections and ground transportation for arrival. Poor.
The food and wine were the worst I have ever had in business class. Also the service level was poor
The flight was in an old, stuffy aircraft. The flight crew looked tired and over-worked. The food and films were poor and lacked any quality. The flight was late arriving and then the door failed to open. I missed my connecting flight and was delayed more than 9 hours - for a MUCH longer and unpleasant trip. Air Canada should be avoided whenever possible.
Aircraft was delayed in its arrival for the flight and was delayed from Halifax to Montreal.
there was an hour delay in our departure but everything else was ok.
Our Air Canada flight 8569 from Montreal to Atlanta on August 26, 7:30 pm, was cancelled due to mechanical problems. AC customer service rep at the Montreal airport wanted to put us on two more AC flights, Montreal to Toronto, then Toronto to ATL, for the following day. We asked for the 7 am next morning non-stop Delta flight from Montreal to ATL, and got it. Air Canada put us up in a hotel in Montreal for the evening. Next time, we'll spend the extra $$ to take Delta.
Check-in agent at YYJ was very terse and unfriendly, And this was at the priority check-in post. Maybe she was having a bad day. The flight was an hour late leaving. On board crew were great. Waited 20+ minutes for priority baggage at YYZ, so got to my hotel much later than expected. On balance, not a bad experience.
The TV shows available were way better than other AC flights. Most have only 3 episodes which doesn’t make sense.
