At 194 cm the space was really good to sit There was no entertainment Food was only a filler
Boarding in Toronto is an example of good boarding. On the other hand one flight attendant on the flight WS 652 wasn’t in good mood and she didn’t even try to hide it. Overall good trip.
Considering all the information about horrible delays in the news, I was happy both my flights with 1 stop both ways in Toronto (Flying Edmonton to Moncton) were perfect.
Delayed (causing missed connections) and cancelled flights over 3 days. Arrival in Canada, flight 5 mins late. Told could not board connecting flight because too late. And layover about 90 mins. At gate they haven’t even started boarding the connecting flight. Put on next flight 5 hrs later. That flight was held for quite awhile because “passengers on arriving flights at other end of airport needed to get to gate”, so delayed departure. WHAT!!!? Departing flight on return delayed. Missed connection again. New connection means waiting 6 hrs in airport, only to have flight cancelled. Terrible communication between staff, and between staff and travelers. Some staff just outright rude. Phone apps and departure boards showing flight cancelled, and gate agent saying to stay seated because that’s not true, only to have them announce 10 mins later the flight is cancelled and you need to leave. Since no more flights that night, told would get voucher for $250 cdn, only to get $150 cdn voucher. Could go on & on about how awful the experience has been. WestJet is TERRIBLE!! Will never fly them again!
Flight delayed and was not communicated well
We paid for very good seats ... we brought our own food. The trip was ok . I dislike west jet though and prefer delta
Entertainment and food could be better
the flight was delayed over an hour because the crew was lte because there is not enough people working because of stupid government mandates. cancel all the mandates and give people their freedom back.
Due to a brief delay departing Edmonton, and another delay on the tarmac in Calgary, we had a short connection in Calgary. We barely made it (there were 9 passengers making the connection for the flight to Gatwick), and were told our luggage would be on the flight. All the bags from Edmonton did not make the connection. So here I am I London with just my carry on bag. Hopefully my checked luggage will be along today or tomorrow.
Many delays 1.5h before flight, additional 35 minutes on tarmack before departure then had to try landing twice with weather. Hot plane Flight attendants were only redeeming quality
Flight got canceled within 24 hours before flight without notice or any sort of an email. Google was what notified me since it picked the flight off my emails. As a matter of fact, I still don't have any notification or email that the flight was canceled. I did get one mid day on the day of the flight, a few hours after departure time, telling me I have a booking on a different airline 2 days after the initial departure day. I messaged them in Twitter and Instagram, still haven't received a reply. Westjet is pathetic. I needed to go back home as I have an important work week.
Fine, crew very friendly but bag delayed (arrived about two weeks late).
Yyc to ycd had two FAs who talked loudly during the while flight. This flight departed at 11 pm. I expected to get some rest, but it was impossible. Very inconsiderate.
The boarding was a disaster. About 20 of us who had independently booked and had originally been given assigned seats, were given standby tickets at check-in. “Problems with the loading and balancing of the plane”. Rubbish. It took forever to get assigned seats at the boarding gate with much confusion. Even when finally on the plane the seat assignments were very fluid with, in my case, two changes to where I was to sit. As a final disappointment (although most likely unconnected) my luggage didn’t arrive with the plane. I did get my luggage three days later.
Pilot kept passengers informed of reasons for delays. This is Communications 101 and much appreciated. I also appreciated the reminders (mostly over the public address system) for passengers to wear their masks correctly (over mouth and nose). Not the first time I’ve flown by Dreamliner and it is nice to have snacks and meals included on long flights.
Poor connection no information on delays
Poor connection Delay in flights and not notify the passengers That the flight was delayed old airplanes, no entertainment or food Short connection beacuse of the delay in boarding no information provided why short the connection time from 2 hours to 30 min and we had to run 2 km with our Luggage only to find out at the gate themat the Pilot is not even there and no notification flight is delayed provided anywhere
Very good thank you!
Lost luggage
Lost luggage
Late and missed connection. Generous and was given hotel and food voucher. Hotel was very far but Westjet did their best.
There was a passenger who was obviously sick. He coughed constantly on the flight. I was a bit uncomfortable and made me wonder about how seriously safety protocols are enforced.
The getting off into YYZ was horrible. In particular because the customs hall was “over loaded” the WestJet staff kept passengers on the plane 1 hours after Landing; this included children, seniors and many dogs and cats in cages. When finally we were allowed to disembark in groups of 50 the staff allowed random first come first served deplaning rather than allowing seniors, animals and families with children off first. Most animals were caged in very small cages and had not eaten or drank fluids for 14 hours due to calming medication This was Animal And Senior Abuse at its worst. WS 2577 flight
No juice, no coffee, no tea. Plane took off late, and lost our luggage. Crew onboard were being trained. There was nothing positive to say about this flight.
Nothing.
Nothing really.
Unfortunately delayed
On board WestJet flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 53x38x23cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the WestJet assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
