Good 6.0

Cons: I originally booked a straight flight from KEF to SFO 2 months in advance and all of a sudden WOW sent me an email saying that they changed my flight to a different one with 6 hour lay-over in LAX due to overbooking. And the email notice was sent < 24 hours before the actual departure. So if I didn’t check in online, I would never find out before coming to the airport. When called to inquire more info and request to change to a different flight that would work better for my schedule than the one WOW automatically decided to switch me to, the representative was not very helpful and giving push back. I had to talk to a manager... Long story short, the flight itself, the seats, and attendant crew were all fine, but the booking/scheduling is a bit of uncertainty (like they can change flight on you whenever and to whatever they want).

Cons: Food/drinks are overpriced. Seats are too small. There’s no entertainment for long haul flights. Water isn’t even served. The front desk was very dismissive of any customer service when our plane was late.

Good 6.6

Pros: No frills budget carrier, mostly exactly as I expected.

Cons: If you overbuy luggage allowance, there is no way to undo it, even within 24 hours. I made a mistake, thinking I needed to purchase more luggage, recognized my mistake right away, and still ended up paying for luggage allowance I didn't need.

Cons: Snow storm cancelled dozens of flights. I was told I couldn't be rebooked at the airport and needed to call in. Spent 6+ hours on hold. Following day was informed at airport that I couldn't be rebooked by customer service and was given no further options. I bought a ticket on another airline. I'll never fly WOW again.

LGW

Mediocre 2.6

Pros: Cheap price but hefty baggage fee and uncomfortable plane. Accommodated me with a hotel room at the Hilton and a buffet voucher for 3 meals a day. This was very nice of them to do since my flight from Gatwick to Iceland and then to Baltimore, MD wad cancelled many times due to a snow storm in Iceland.

Cons: Uncomfortable plane. The plane was delayed for over a week so I cancelled my ticket and booked it through another airline. When speaking on the phone with WOW staff I could barely understand what they were saying because most staff I spoke with had very poor English.

Pros: Good price point. Very nice and efficient crew, greeted at boarding with pillow, blanket and water bottle. Entertainment with free movies and very nice travel info-logues on Iceland. Airline offers up to 7 day Iceland stay-overs at no extra cost. Nice legroom on the 767, and I'm 6'5".

Cons: The small personal pizzas were so-so, sandwich was pretty good. Alcoholic drinks were somewhat expensive. Reykjavik airport deplaning was via outside stairs to a bus in mild rain, but that's probably not the airline's fault.

Good 6.4

Pros: Good entertainment options, a lot of good movies to choose. Flight was on time, we arrived before the scheduled time.

Cons: The crew seems to have some troubles between them and it was reflected in the service they offered to the passengers. Some of them were rude.

Excellent 9.3

Pros: Crew was really friendly, we had the seats behind first class so we had a ton of legroom. I would definitely fly Iceland air.

Cons: We had a 5 hour flight and they didnt serve snacks of food. The flight didnt include bags. 2 bags cost $160

Cons: Food/drinks are overpriced. Seats are too small. There’s no entertainment for long haul flights. Water isn’t even served. The front desk was very dismissive of any customer service when our plane was late.

SFO

Good 6.3

Pros: Nothing

Cons: I did not like that I was unaware they changed my flight number from 404 to 406 but because of storm warning it made sense. I did not like how they board you on the plane in Iceland. They make you take a bus and then climb up stairs into plane out of ticket order. Standing on those stairs in rain and wind is not fun. also the food selection for morning is awful.

Prices are per person, are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in CAD.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.

If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
