This is not Lufthansa's fault but considering how important Frankfurt is, you would think the airlines would say something. The flight was late. There were no proper queues for boarding. Everone was mixed up, business, gold card, economy, and only one person doing the chekcing of boarding passes. It was not the best process."

Customer service at our arrival gate was extremely slow. Baggage claim closed before my daughter’s luggage was released and it was lost until the next day. Our connecting flight was booked incorrectly do we had to spend the night in Frankfurt. Our 13 hour flight took 29 hours. The food was awful."

My controller for the tv didn't fit back into the holder easily at all and my husband got a blood blister trying to force it back in. Headrest to hold my head didn't stay put to give proper support while trying to sleep."

We were in line for passport and then security and talked to several TAP employees and they said we would be have time and wouldn't have a problem catching the second flight. Well, we got through the lines with 30 min before our next flight and they wouldn't let us on. Customer service and organization of the airline is really poor. The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed."

Cons: "Oph, I wish I had better things to say about this airline! The person who signed us in for our first flight did so as a "no show" (we didn't know this at the time). That flight was delayed (they didn't have enough room in the plane for luggage and were scrambling to put things below). Once we arrived in at our second location, we sprinted through the airport but arrived at our gate with 10 minutes to spare only to be told that the entire flight was full and that we were not able to board. We asked- how this was possible? We are here on time, we have booked our tickets months ahead of time, and there is no one else here at the gate... it made absolutely no sense. All the staff people did was shrug their shoulders and said that they couldn't help us and that we had to go to the transfer station. My friend and I were upset- by missing our flight we were losing our last night in Barcelona, seeing our friends, etc. before heading back to the United States. Once we got to the transfer station, we were even more confused and upset however, because the staff person there told us that in fact our seats were available and that there was no reason why were not allowed on the flight. However, she shrugged her shoulders and told her that there was nothing that she could do. She offered us a $10 meal card, booked us for the next flight 3 hours later (which put us in Barcelona late at night, way too late to see the city or our friends), and offered us absolutely no help in getting a refund. We asked to see the supervisor and after waiting another half an hour he came out and told us the story about how the staff person in Marrakesh put us as "no shows." This was a complete system failure, however he offered us no refund, no support, beyond telling us to go on the website and filling out a form. Once we got internet, we tried to get to the form- link broken. We called the help line, and after waiting another 20 minutes, we got connected to a woman who said that she couldn't help us- we had to go to the transfer service desk and fill out a paper form there or the electronic contact form. It seemed that every person had been well trained in how to pass clients from one system to another, to see if we would get too tired to file our complaints. No one has taken responsibility for this abysmal failure of the system, no one has apologized, and no one has offered any reimbursement beyond a meal ticket. I highly recommended that people pay an extra $20 for an airline where people are properly trained in how to use their computer systems, where they won't lie to your face, and where they may have a system where complaints and be properly filed and responded to. I have no idea how TAP Portugal is still in business."

In addition, we couldn't get clear information about the baggage allowance. This is partially due to booking through Kayak where they don't tell you the baggage limit and some of the flights were code share flights even though all were with Air Canada. Couldn't tell if we had 1 or 2 bags included. This didn't help with our packing. In the end we had 2 bags and wish we bought more stuff."

That means, your games will cancel and restart a thousand times, your volume will keep shifting from deafening to mute, and the button calling for help from the crew keeps going "ping" all over the plane. The crew ignored the calls, surely since they know what goes on with the plane, but I wonder what would happen if somebody really needed help. In addition to that, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable, narrower than ever and hard as brick. Every time I board a new plane I wonder what can they do to make it even worse, and plane designers never cease to amaze me with new medieval tortures."

And they were not “big” as was said. my seat I was moved to had sick children behind my seat whom were coughing and kicking the back of my seat and the row was completely full. An aweful experience and to top it off, the planes entertainment program was broken so we were provided with no entertainment, video or audio."

Many people were standing in the aisles as it was so uncomfortable. I was very cold throughout the flight, which was another uncomfortable aspect. One of the bathrooms was out of order which resulted in everyone using the same one - you can imagine how smelly and messy it got."
