Flight was delayed over 8 hours!!! Flyers were not given accurate updates of flight. Flight time kept extending and extending! We were given a 5 euro voucher after 3 hours of being stuck at the airport. Ridiculous! Tight seats and so uncomfortable once we boarded. The air craft was extremely hot and we lingered after boarding for another 2 hours. Longest flight ever experienced. I'll never fly Ryanair again.

Generally speaking, there was enough room between rows to be reasonably relaxed. The back of the seat could be relaxed to a more comfortable level. Flight attendants were very responsive.

The seats were uncomfortable; this seems to be a general problem with more recent planes. Older planes were much more comfortable.

Connecting flight was too tight and stressful. We had to change planes and both our flights through Iceland were late, making it a stressful experience. We expected to have 45-60 min and ended up with Not enough instruction about what to expect. Seemed that everyone around us had 20 min to get to next flight.

Reykjavik Airport is a joke. Totally disorganized. Not enough seats to sit in and wait. Many passengers were sitting on the floor. Extremely long lines for people waiting to board their flights. Mass confusion. Food court required people to show their boarding passes in order to purchase food. People learned this after they got up to the cash register to pay for their food. Again, huge confusion. Ridiculous way to treat people.

Only the flight itself.

The Reykjavik Airport is terribly disorganized. Not enough seats to sit in. People sitting on the floor waiting for their flights. Looked like conditions in a third world country. Long lines to wait for flights to leave and to buy food in the food court. An absolute zoo. MY FLIGHT TO KANSAS CITY WAS NOT EVEN ANNOUNCED. I noticed that people were walking up to the check in gate. I asked a couple of people if the KC flight was boarding. They said that they weren't sure, but they were going to check. It turns out that it was the KC flight, but it was NEVER ANNOUNCED. Horrible airport administration. No excuses for all the problems at this airport.

The manager who finally helped me was friendly and listened the entire time even when I was angry. She was concerned and helped me the best she could. The stewards are always friendly

There was only one agent on to check tickets. I was in line for 45 minutes and when I got to her, she just said over and over, there is nothing I can do, your flight time was just cut off. I would have to wait until the flight the next day. Even though I had no bags and there was still 35 minutes before take off. I also told her I knew I would be late and so spoke to someone from Westjet he night before. She smiled like I was lying to her. Lines should not be so black and white. If she would have just processed my ticket I would have had 35 minutes to get to my gate instead of 10. When you are flying with half full planes there should really be better ways to manage customer service.

Flight was delayed 12 hours. They didn't offer hotel rooms so we had to sleep on the floor of the airport (hundreds of passengers, including elderly and children). No communication. One person managing multiple delays, so rarely anyone at the desk to answer questions. Appalling.

I missed my flight. My flight to Newark was delayed and I was unable to get to my plane in time. Also I couldn’t find a boarding pass after I checked in online, so I wouldn’t have made it through security anyway.

The plane was so cold that my hands and feet were getting numb. At a certain point I went back to ask for some water—I knew this was an ultra-cheap airline where you had to pay for food and drinks, but I thought they’d give you water for free. “You have to pay for it,” said the crew in back, laughing. Fine. I paid. I asked for a blanket. “You have to pay for that too,” they said, amused. I agreed, and then they told me there were no blankets left. I spent the flight in my incredibly narrow seat, which did not decline at all or have any headrest padding, trying to curl up for warmth. The “entertainment” was the worst and most limited i have ever seen on a Transatlantic flight, and the overhead light didn’t work, so I couldn’t read when the lights were dimmed. Better to pay more and maintain some semblance of human dignity. With this level of service, they ought to anesthetize everyone before they get in the plane.

NOTHING. My experience won't fit in the negative comments, so I'm starting it here. (1/4) We had a 21 hour layover in Iceland, so we left the airport for the night. The next morning, on our way to the airport, we tried to check-in online, but the online check-in service was not working. We arrived about two hours before our scheduled departure and had to wait in a long line since the online check-in service was not working. We checked our bags and ran into our first unfortunate encounter with the airport staff. He sent my friend's bags through, without checking the weight. When he weighed my bag, he then noticed that the first bag sent through was overweight, and mentioned that he had made a mistake. He decided to weigh both our bags together as one entity (to equal 88 lbs.) and made me empty out my suitcase of the extra weight from not only my single bag, but the extra weight from the first bag, as well. He said it was too late to retrieve the first bag, so my friend and I had to divvy up my stuff between our carry on bags. Had we known the first bag was overweight, we would have been able to easily taken stuff out of our OWN suitcases and into our OWN carry ons. Which would have been helpful for what was to come... We then walked through the foodcourt to buy some overpriced snacks for the plane. When we decided it was time to go to our gate, we passed a horrifically long line of people that we assumed couldn't be the line to get through customs, because the last few times we had been at this airport, there was always a maximum of 20 people in line. Once we realized that this line was for customs, we asked an employee working the line if we'd be able to make our flight on time if we had to wait in this line. He said not to worry, that we would be okay, because all of the airlines were notified of the unexpected delay at customs. We patiently waited in this line, and as soon as we were through, ran to our gates. At this point, we knew we were going to JUST miss the time for the gate to close, but were consoled by the fact that the employee at customs had told us that the airlines were notified that some of us would be late arriving due to the unexpected delay and line. We arrived at the gate, and the airport staff working the gate laughed in our faces and told us it was too late. They said they never heard from anyone about any delays at customs, and that the transportation bus to the airplane had left ten minutes ago. "Too bad!" they said. How could it have left ten minutes prior, if the gate said it had closed only a few minutes before we arrived? A lie. We asked about our luggage.

(2/4) They said that they would notify the plane, and the bags would be taken off, and that we could find them at baggage claim. So let me get this straight - the plane can wait for someone to sift through all of the baggage, find our bags, and remove them from the plane, but wouldn't allow us to take the probably less time to just get on the plane? We asked if there was anyone from WOW that we could speak to, and they pointed us in the direction of another gate. Once we got to that area, there was another group of people that also missed their flight due to the unexpected line at customs. They were speaking with a lady who was telling them that no one from WOW was at the airport, they all went home for the day. We also attempted to talk to this lady, but she was in a hurry to leave for the day, as well, and was very dismissive and talked to us in passing. On our way to baggage claim, we passed customs, which by this time, had no line. We spoke to three people that were standing in that area, and were looking for the guy who told us that our plane was notified of the delay. He was no longer around, but the staff standing there had said that they were unsure why we were told that any aircrafts were notified of delays because that was not true, and that they also were not even ALLOWED to tell travelers this information. So.... the guy that we spoke to in the customs line lied to my face, and was not even allowed to tell us what he did. This infuriates me for MANY reasons. If I had known that we would not make it through the customs line in time, I would have politely asked other travelers towards the front of the line if we could pass them. Most people are very nice, and would of course let us in front of them. I know I would have done that for someone. But instead, since a KEF AIRPORT STAFF told me that MY PLANE WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DELAY, I patiently waited in line. Yet another lie. We finally got to baggage claim, and spoke with one of the employees there. He told us that he was not aware of any bags coming back in, but it usually takes about 30 mins. At this point, it probably had already been that long, but my friend waited anyways. Meanwhile, I went back to the check-in area to see if there was anyone available to talk to about the circumstances, or if there was another flight we could get on because both my friend and I had to work the next day. There was no one anywhere, except for at the the Icelandair counter. The woman I spoke to there was very nice (shocker), but there was nothing she could do, that all of the flights leaving the airport to the US for the rest of the day had just closed their time for purchasing tickets. If we had not been lied to and if the staff had not been rude and pointing us in all different directions, I probably could have gotten us on a flight out that night. But yet again, we JUST missed the mark due to being misinformed and mistreated by the airport staff.

Good price, and for me it's very convenient to fly from the US east coast into London Stansted. Plane was pretty new.

Chaos on boarding. Late gate change was poorly communicated. The gate we ended up at was showing some other airline's flight , and Primera's was showing up at a nearby gate. Huh ? There was a lot of confusion. Maybe not entirely Primera's fault, but they could have communicated better. You pay for everything, even a drink of water ! Put in a few coins to use the bathroom - ok, just kidding on that one, but maybe that's next 8-{ In the past I have paid for a hot meal, but it wasn't good, and not worth the money. Better to pick up some food before the flight.

No frills budget carrier, mostly exactly as I expected.

If you overbuy luggage allowance, there is no way to undo it, even within 24 hours. I made a mistake, thinking I needed to purchase more luggage, recognized my mistake right away, and still ended up paying for luggage allowance I didn't need.

So.... the guy that we spoke to in the customs line lied to my face, and was not even allowed to tell us what he did. This infuriates me for MANY reasons. If I had known that we would not make it through the customs line in time, I would have politely asked other travelers towards the front of the line if we could pass them. Most people are very nice, and would of course let us in front of them. I know I would have done that for someone. But instead, since a KEF AIRPORT STAFF told me that MY PLANE WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DELAY, I patiently waited in line. Yet another lie. We finally got to baggage claim, and spoke with one of the employees there. He told us that he was not aware of any bags coming back in, but it usually takes about 30 mins. At this point, it probably had already been that long, but my friend waited anyways. Meanwhile, I went back to the check-in area to see if there was anyone available to talk to about the circumstances, or if there was another flight we could get on because both my friend and I had to work the next day. There was no one anywhere, except for at the the Icelandair counter. The woman I spoke to there was very nice (shocker), but there was nothing she could do, that all of the flights leaving the airport to the US for the rest of the day had just closed their time for purchasing tickets. If we had not been lied to and if the staff had not been rude and pointing us in all different directions, I probably could have gotten us on a flight out that night. But yet again, we JUST missed the mark due to being misinformed and mistreated by the airport staff.

Good price, and for me it's very convenient to fly from the US east coast into London Stansted. Plane was pretty new.

Chaos on boarding. Late gate change was poorly communicated. The gate we ended up at was showing some other airline's flight , and Primera's was showing up at a nearby gate. Huh ? There was a lot of confusion. Maybe not entirely Primera's fault, but they could have communicated better. You pay for everything, even a drink of water ! Put in a few coins to use the bathroom - ok, just kidding on that one, but maybe that's next 8-{ In the past I have paid for a hot meal, but it wasn't good, and not worth the money. Better to pick up some food before the flight.

The plane was new and clean. Service was good. Fare was inexpensive.

It took an hour and a half to check in at Stansted. There was no entertainment system on the plane and all food and drinks cost extra. We got to the airport 3 hrs early yet had to go straight to to our gate with no time to spare.

Flight attendants are nice

Connecting flight was too tight and stressful. We had to change planes and both our flights through Iceland were late, making it a stressful experience. We expected to have 45-60 min and ended up with Not enough instruction about what to expect. Seemed that everyone around us had 20 min to get to next flight.

The flight is self was fine.

Waiting area at KCI was extremely disappointing, containing only restrooms & water fountains. No food available to purchase after going through security. Baggage check-in area was within the American Airlines area and was practically invisible. I missed it and had to walk back to check my bag. Found out after going through full Security measures that Icelandair does not participate in TSA Pre-Check I didn't know that airlines could not to participate in TSA Pre-Check. I did not know that no meals were included in the flight. The meals you could buy were very expensive and very small. After waiting 2 hours to board and being on a 7 hour flight, I was very hungry. Glad I took a few Oreo cookies. The airport at Reykjavik was an absolute zoo, totally disorganized. People were in very long lines and many of them sitting on the floor. I will not fly Icelandair again.

In this case we were wrong The Saga class passengers were in line when we were told we would need to wait for 55 members of a high school soccer team to board. NOTHING. My experience won't fit in the negative comments, so I'm starting it here. (1/4) We had a 21 hour layover in Iceland, so we left the airport for the night. The next morning, on our way to the airport, we tried to check-in online, but the online check-in service was not working. We arrived about two hours before our scheduled departure and had to wait in a long line since the online check-in service was not working. We checked our bags and ran into our first unfortunate encounter with the airport staff. He sent my friend's bags through, without checking the weight. When he weighed my bag, he then noticed that the first bag sent through was overweight, and mentioned that he had made a mistake. He decided to weigh both our bags together as one entity (to equal 88 lbs.) and made me empty out my suitcase of the extra weight from not only my single bag, but the extra weight from the first bag, as well. He said it was too late to retrieve the first bag, so my friend and I had to divvy up my stuff between our carry on bags. Had we known the first bag was overweight, we would have been able to easily taken stuff out of our OWN suitcases and into our OWN carry ons. Which would have been helpful for what was to come... We then walked through the foodcourt to buy some overpriced snacks for the plane. When we decided it was time to go to our gate, we passed a horrifically long line of people that we assumed couldn't be the line to get through customs, because the last few times we had been at this airport, there was always a maximum of 20 people in line. Once we realized that this line was for customs, we asked an employee working the line if we'd be able to make our flight on time if we had to wait in this line. He said not to worry, that we would be okay, because all of the airlines were notified of the unexpected delay at customs. We patiently waited in this line, and as soon as we were through, ran to our gates. At this point, we knew we were going to JUST miss the time for the gate to close, but were consoled by the fact that the employee at customs had told us that the airlines were notified that some of us would be late arriving due to the unexpected delay and line. We arrived at the gate, and the airport staff working the gate laughed in our faces and told us it was too late. They said they never heard from anyone about any delays at customs, and that the transportation bus to the airplane had left ten minutes ago. "Too bad!" they said. How could it have left ten minutes prior, if the gate said it had closed only a few minutes before we arrived? A lie. We asked about our luggage.

(2/4) They said that they would notify the plane, and the bags would be taken off, and that we could find them at baggage claim. So let me get this straight - the plane can wait for someone to sift through all of the baggage, find our bags, and remove them from the plane, but wouldn't allow us to take the probably less time to just get on the plane? We asked if there was anyone from WOW that we could speak to, and they pointed us in the direction of another gate. Once we got to that area, there was another group of people that also missed their flight due to the unexpected line at customs. They were speaking with a lady who was telling them that no one from WOW was at the airport, they all went home for the day. We also attempted to talk to this lady, but she was in a hurry to leave for the day, as well, and was very dismissive and talked to us in passing. On our way to baggage claim, we passed customs, which by this time, had no line. We spoke to three people that were standing in that area, and were looking for the guy who told us that our plane was notified of the delay. He was no longer around, but the staff standing there had said that they were unsure why we were told that any aircrafts were notified of delays because that was not true, and that they also were not even ALLOWED to tell travelers this information. No frills budget carrier, mostly exactly as I expected.

If you overbuy luggage allowance, there is no way to undo it, even within 24 hours. I made a mistake, thinking I needed to purchase more luggage, recognized my mistake right away, and still ended up paying for luggage allowance I didn't need.

So many of the movies had english subtitles which I didn't appreciate as It was an overnight flight and I was tired after the flight from Vancouver to Toronto and a 4 hour lay over.

Flight was delayed over 8 hours!!! Flyers were not given accurate updates of flight. Flight time kept extending and extending! We were given a 5 euro voucher after 3 hours of being stuck at the airport. Ridiculous! Tight seats and so uncomfortable once we boarded. The air craft was extremely hot and we lingered after boarding for another 2 hours. Longest flight ever experienced. I'll never fly Ryanair again.

Pre-ordered meals are costlier than those purchased on board. The crew explains it by saying that they give some extra food just before landing, in lieu of that but what they give is too meagre and its not the customers choice.
