There's no taxi stand at the Kamloops airport. Take the airport shuttle if you can. It's fast, efficient and cheap. The guy running it is great.

FAQs - booking British Columbia flights

  • Which airport is closest to Glacier National Park?

Glacier National Park is in eastern British Columbia near the border of Alberta, and is a very popular tourist attraction. Kelowna Airport is the closest of the British Columbia airports, however you would still have to drive over 700 km from Kelowna Airport. For this reason, it’s a good idea to consider a flight from Banff Airport (YBA) in Alberta, as it is only a 2h 12min drive from Glacier National Park.

  • How can I get to Tweedsmuir Provincial Park?

To get to Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, you should opt for a flight to British Columbia that lands at Vancouver International Airport, and from there you can book a local flight to Bella Coola Airport (QBC) via Pacific Coastal Airlines. The remaining drive from Bella Coola Airport is about 48 km.

  • I wish to visit Prince George. Which airport is most convenient?

Prince George is a major city in central British Columbia and is an important location where the major highways connect the remote northern regions of British Columbia with the more populous southern regions. The most convenient way to visit Prince George is to first book a flight into Victoria Airport, and from there book a nonstop Pacific Coastal Airlines flight to Prince George Airport (YXS).

  • Which airport is closest to Haida Gwaii?

Formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands, Haida Gwaii is an archipelago west of mainland British Columbia and north of Vancouver Island, therefore the closest major airport is Victoria Airport. However, only Vancouver International Airport offers direct flights to Prince Rupert Airport via Air Canada Express, so it makes more sense to book a flight from the capital.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from Canada to British Columbia?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from Canada to British Columbia.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from Canada to British Columbia?

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from Canada to British Columbia?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional round-trip ticket. You could then fly from Canada to British Columbia with an airline and back with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from Canada to British Columbia?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying from Canada to British Columbia up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

Vancouver International Airport is a major travel hub for many of the airlines that provide service to the province, including Air Canada Express, WestJet and Pacific Coastal Airlines.
  • There are two secondary airports in British Columbia that provide internal flights within the province. Victoria Airport (YYJ) receives Pacific Coastal Airlines flights out of Vancouver International Airport, while Kelowna Airport (YLW) receives flights via Air North from Vancouver International Airport.
  • All four of the airports receiving flights to British Columbia are located in the more heavily populated southern region of the province. Victoria Airport is the gateway for travel to Vancouver Island, which offers such attractions as Mile Zero (Trans-Canada Highway), Pacific Rim National Park and Strathcona Provincial Park in the centre of the island.

You should also use this airport for service to the cities of Castlegar and Trail, to the south near the US border.
  • Abbotsford Airport and Vancouver International Airport are less than 75 km apart. Swoop Airlines provides the bulk of service into Abbotsford Airport coming from Edmonton Airport (YEG), while Flair Airlines is responsible for the majority of flights coming into Vancouver International Airport from Calgary Airport.

Air North is one of the easiest airlines to fly with. Lots of room and great service. Always provide you food.

My interaction with air north was great, Their customer servicr was easy to get a hold.of, Managed to speak with a person, they were very polite and helpful, However I messed up the date with the ticket purchase, Since I used a third party I could not change the date. And trying to contact Kayak and the other third party was a nightmarez So I am unlikely to use a third party again.

Customer server was excellent. The flight was extremely affordable, and my seat was both comfortable and spacious.

Terrible customer service - no interest in being helpful, limited service hours, unwilling to transfer checked baggage of provide advice. Not recommended.

Supposed to fly out at 10am to Kelowna….got delayed until 1:40 and missed an important meeting. I ended up having g to stay over. Should have just driven.

Service was great from start to finish. Pleasant attendants, timely luggage to carousels.

This airline is never a disappointment. Always on time. Short haul from YLW to YYZ , best way to travel.

Boarding was fine, and flight was on time. During the flight however, you aren't even offered a drink of water. The carts never leave the galleys. All the attendants said the whole time is take your headphones off and buckle your seatbelt. For the price I wouldn't expect 5 star service, but maybe a drink would have been acceptable

Nothing needs to change as it is such a short flight.

The employees at the counter when we first arrived were very helpful and kind. The flight attendants were are very pleasant and helpful. I appreciated we departed on time.

There was a 5 hour delay. Missed connection and now an almost 21 hour lay over!

The flight was fine see earlier note for the problem

Three hours on the tarmac with almost zero communication from the cockpit. Not when offered a water in the interim. In my 67 years of flying all over the world the worst experience ever. The plane was half empty, however had to pay for seats to sit next to my girlfriend. Extra to take a carry on. I would never fly Porter again even for free.

All good the seats a little tight and no I pad screen

Everything was good except the fact you charge more for a carry on bag vs a check in bag and to top it off in US$ that was not impressive

Our flight was cancelled at the last minute for maintenance reasons and we were rebooked on a late flight when we purposefully booked our flight to be home early due to work.

Seemed like an old plane. Very noisy. The seat cushions were so old that the metal bracing of the seats were poking through. There was plenty of leg room though.

Flight was delayed over 2 hours, then landed at a different airport!

The whole experience from check in to deboarding was fantastic.

Just an evening before they canceled my ticket and offered me ticket costing 3 x times more than. I will not fall prey to these scams,Will never book through kayak now. Such a bad experience.

7 hour layover was a drag. Free internet on the long leg was great.

From vancouver go calgary nd vice vetsa fligjt was delayed

It was good! Short flight and it was on time!

Asked to cancel flight 6 days in advance of flight back to St. Louis, MO. Would not allow. No credit either.

Crew was nice especially by North American standards. Bad good. No entertainment screens. Terrible WiFi

This flight was better than the first. Two of the flight attendants were wonderful at supporting m through nausea and vomiting through the flight. No tv, no food, very interesting. I’ve never paid for wifi (just the $3 chatting) until these 2 flights. This experience has changed my opinion on layovers. Idk if I’ll ever do one again

Flights were cancelled setting me in panic mode since my much needed weekend escape with friends was only a short one. No apologies given at the airport nor on the plane. Flight was rescheduled

Not the greatest experience everything was pretty mediocre. My seat was by the washroom in the aisle and was not located well as everyone past each other people were right in my seat and space.

Lots of overhead storage, good crew, good service, smooth landing.

My husband required a wheelchair to get to the airplane and the service he received was exemplary. Thank you.

Seats horribly uncomfortable. Air nozzles didn't work so very overheated.

Everything could have been better from the planes not being delayed to the rudeness of staff to it was just horrible will not use kayak again or Air Canada I can't see what would ever change my mind now

Aircanada was not great. Didn't get anything to eat. No snacks. No entertainment. Horrible checking in.

luggage and cary on were extra, as well as seat selection. $240.00 was added to the final price tag.

The checking of my carry-on was not the greatest idea. It was selected for a security check in Toronto and didn't make it to my connecting flight. Fortunately Air Canada delivers late luggage to Whistler so I got it at 2 A M.

It was good except I was sitting beside a bigger gentleman so I didn’t have much room

Well managed flight comfortable. Wish they had back of seat screens

My entertainment system was very jittery. Of course no food unless you pay, and even then choices are very limited. I got a free beer, though.

Great flights. 90 minute departure delay for maintenance issues, not a great start but, afer that very good. Didn't pay extra for seats and lucked into a window and an aisle seat. Price was excellent at the super low economy level.

My luggage passed security but just before boarding the plane I watched as my luggage was thrown on the belt to enter the plane in Windsor and my luggage cover was half off. it was damaged before even making it onto the plane! I’ve had the luggage and covered for a year and have never had any issues. I mentioned it to an Air Canada employee who told me to use the app to make the crew aware of this (she said so they could fix it) but sure enough my luggage was damaged with no cover in sight! I sent an email to AC that was ignored. Awful experience! Also, a 4.5 hour flight and you are offered pretzels or a cheap single cookie?? Wow. The return flight did not have any entertainment available unless you used your own device and their wifi. The USB plug on the back of the seat did not charge my phone so my battery drained by using it for a short period of time. There was no warning that this was the case prior to boarding the aircraft. Lastly, the plane was freezing. I asked if they had any small blankets (which used to be standard) and was told they were only for the front section. Would never fly AC again!

Very bead I am going to Vancouver to toronto. Not boarding receive. Before flight ✈️ time I have to take boarding. Boarding manager asking me pay $89 . Just flight ✈️ time before I pay .after provided the Boarding pass. Flair Airlines management not good. But kayak is best application.

Not good Even after I made my booking, I was charged $90 for my boarding pass. I have collected boarding pass i pay $90 near . Flair airline not good. Without pay no boarding pass.

The flight was smooth, but the seats are not comfortable. I was not able to sleep. The sizes for the personal item and carry-on are way smaller than other airlines.

Leg room was terrible and seats very narrow. Flight was also delayed.

The worst airline experience that I ever had in my life. The fare was cheap but boy do you pay for it when it comes to baggages, carry-ons, food on board and lack of available staff at check-in. Almost every other passenger on my flight had the same complaints and experience. We all bonded discussing our displeasure. My husband and I will definitely not be traveling with Flair Airlines. We'll take anyone else.

The most uncomfortable plane I ever fly on. The seats won't even recline a little. For a 5 hrs flight at night and tired it felt like torture

Seats in 1 res are dispersed all over the plane, even child was across

Personally, I will not use this fight again. The service is poor, you have to buy even water. They don't provide anything even sneak, you have to buy. They said Personally items for 7 kg. Then they use some measurements, if you have 7kg and if it's not getting inside of their measurements, you have to pay 80$ this is robbery. I will prefer other flight then this. I am désappointement taking this airplane.

It’s a shameful company. It ask as to go to counter to take the boarding pass, they simply send it by email, just to check the bags’ size in a smaller than normal template. DONT USE FLAIR! It will be more expensive than normal airlines at the end.

flight was okay, no wifi, no free drinks but worst of all they lost my son's bike for four days. Customer service was nonexistent - call a number that leaves you on perpetual hold, there's no baggage folks in the baggage claims area (in vancouver). we went up to international and nobody was at ticketing, went to domestic and they had us fill out a form. they could not tell us where the bag was. Anyway, highly recommend you drop an airtag for anything that's worth more than $500. My son's bike costs a lot more than that to replace; I was on pins and needles for four days.
