The breakfast was good. I appreciated the selection of quality fresh fruits and juices. There was something for everyone in our party. We all enjoyed the fresh bread.
there were some construction and improvements going on while we were there. These will probably be over soon and they didn't distract from our comfort or are enjoyment.
The breakfast was superb.
Using Booking.com´s site I asked for a hotel with a restaurant but it closed at 1800. Fortunately there was a restaurant not far from the hotel but still.
Wonderfull appartment. Really big and spacious. Two bedrooms and one bathroom + one toilet. The appartment was very clean. Beautiful oceanview.
The bunker bed was very noisy. Every tosing and turn could be heard.
Nice bed, nice view, super clean and the shower was great.
We had a big first floor room with balcony and sea view. It was worth paying the extra for this. The room was fantastic - very high quality fixtures and fittings. We appreciated the coffee machine, kettle and fridge. Great location on the beach. Dog friendly.
This is a very high class boutique hotel in the middle of a caravan/holiday park, owned by the same people I believe. There is a mismatch, with no infrastructure to support the hotel. It’s more like an apartment block. The hotel reception is 100 yards up the beach road or a 2 minute drive - we personally showed 4 separate sets of guests where to go to pick up their keys. As a result of having no onsite reception, we formed a better and closer relationship with the lovely housekeeper! It’s a ridiculous situation. Small points - the WiFi was not high end. The days of being given a code to type in are long gone. WiFi dipping in and out is not acceptable. Similarly the flow of hot water to the shower at peak time in the morning was disrupted by other users. Why only supply one coffee sachet per person per day when there is no chance that visiting guests will be able to bring their own - that is just mean-minded. Lastly, why is there no decent on-site restaurant for dinner? And why do guests have to walk up to the ‘beach cafe’ next to ‘reception’ for breakfast? To be noted, reception is only open 8am-6pm out of season.
When you stay at Ostsee-Strandhaus-Holnis in Gluecksburg, you'll be on the beach and steps from Flensburg Fjord. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
