Breakfast was fine a very enjoyable stay
The suite, very well equipped. SPA on the roof
Toilet has no water stop, this is environment-level of the last century. Loudness on the floor, because the doors to the rooms are not dense. The carpets in the floors should be renewed.
Husband and I spent 2 nights while Hurricane Dorian hit Halifax. Wasn't what we intended to do, but staff was really committed to making guests as comfortable as they could during the storm. We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the 1 br apartment with great view of harbor. About 6 blocks from water. They suggested 2nd floor in case power when out - good call! They had a generator, so we had lights, tv and microwave. Fridge went off, but we just had some wine and it stayed cold. Restaurant decent for breakfast/dinner but is closed at lunch. And they DID serve two meals during hurricane - seems like the staff all came in, so room was cleaned etc. Thank you all for your dedication!
This wouldn't apply except during Hurricane Dorian, so I hesitate to mention. Since restaurant isn't ever open for lunch, and power was out all over town, we didn't have anything but chips we purchased in their little store to eat. Dinner was served, though, and there was a long line of hungry guests. We bought tv dinners in the store, and rolled with it.
Fantastic helpful staff, comfortable clean and spacious rooms, good restaurant food, great additional facilities such as shop, access to computer and printer, free coffee. The location close to the Citadel, Halifax public gardens, Argyle Street restaurants, Avis Car hire Grafton Street, and the Boardwalk all make this a great central location. Highly recommended.
Rooms are a little bit dated but comfortable neverthess.
Comfy bed, good space
Whole property needs updating and decorating
