Overview

The Cambridge Suites Hotel is an all-Suites Hotel nestled right in the middle of downtown Toronto. Guests here are just a short walk away from places like Ed Mirvish Theatre, The Hockey Hall Of Fame, the Rogers Centre, Winter Garden, Elgin Theare, and Eaton Centre, which is one of the largest shopping malls in Canada.

The suites at Cambridge Suites Hotel are unlike many of the other hotel rooms in the area. These are deluxe 550 square foot areas outfitted with French doors, large living rooms, private dressing area, and gorgeous views of the city. Visitors can even book special split level suites where the living space is on the first floor while the bedroom overlooks it from one story higher. All of the suites are furnished with high thread count linens, double goose down duvets, flat screen TVs, and gorgeous contemporary furniture.

Downstairs, guests can visit the Portico Restaurant And Lounge. This eclectic eatery is led by Head Cef Duernholz, who has created an inspired menu filled with robust international dishes and flavors. While the dishes themselves may draw from culinary icons across the globe, the vast majority of ingredients are locally sourced, to ensure visitors are given the freshest, best-tasting meal possible.

Many hotels have fitness centers, but Cambridge Suites takes it to the next level with a rooftop gym. Here, guests can burn some calories on the stationary bike, utilize the free weights, or take a run on the treadmill all with an absolutely stunning view of downtown Toronto.

Pros (+) The layout is terrific, so cosy. All the amenities you could possibly ask for. It's the only hotel for us plus the lovely breakfast is a bonus.
Cons (-) Duvet cover squeaked when you moved in bed which was somewhat unusual and annoying.

Mediocre
Anonymous, Jan 2017
Pros (+) Friendly staff. Fast and efficient maintenance assistance when we needed door locked on adjoining room which had been left opened. Bathroom toiletries were nice quality.
Cons (-) Bed wasn't very comfy and the pillows were the absolute worst (had ear and neck ache next morning). Felt like thin walls, especially when a crying dog woke us up at 6:30am.

Pros (+) Nice hotel, staff and breakfast.
Cons (-) Location is 8 blocks uphill/ downhill from waterfront. Walking the 8 blocks uphill back to the hotel was a physical workout. I would have preferred a hotel about 4 blocks or less from water
