Good 7.1
Pros: This hotel was remote - not much close to the hotel but we were looking to disconnect and unwind which is exactly what the hotel provided. A car is necessary for you to explore the island. The room (we booked a Japanese style without realizing it -- my fault!) ended up comfortable and spacious for my family. The pool and beach were very relaxing as well as the several larger public beaches close to the hotel. While the hotel was nice, it was pretty expensive and probably not worth the price tag. I would definitely go back to beautiful Ishigashi but would likely try out another hotel next time.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We enjoyed the spacious room, the pool always quiet, the views and the beach nearby, but above all the staff, always friendly and helpful with all requests. The hotel is a little out but we had a car so no problems for us, and we really liked the peace and quiet.
Cons: The breakfast was good but lacked variety considering the length of our stay. More fruit from the island would be great ☺️
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Japanese Breakfast was delicious! Staff super friendly and beyond helpful. Room spacious, quiet and clean. All amenities covered. The secluded beach is a few metres away. The pool is small but clean and calm. Such a relaxing and restorative place to stay.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Quiet place and very attentive and kind staffs
Cons: Breakfast was ok- I wish there were more options especially healthy options
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly despite my lack of Japanese, and the food was fantastic
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in organising day trips for us. Property is very clean and agreeable, the pool area is nice to relax with a few hammocks as well. Nice beach accessible from the pool area. Hot bath with a view on the rooftop is a big plus after a long day of activities !
Cons: Wish to have more Okinawa authentic food on the dinner menu.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staff is warm and helpful at all times, the facilities are well maintained and clean. The hotel is a few steps away from a beautiful beach. The location is relaxing and quiet. The room was spacious and clean.
Cons: Breakfast/ Meals: I have a few food restrictions that I didn’t think to mention because I assumed breakfast would be a buffet and I would be able to find what works for me. Unfortunately it’s not and no substitution could be made for me, but I do think it would be ideal to have it in order to give guests more options especially ones with small children. More child-friendly options at meals would be great, particularly lunch. Other than this, my stay there was excellent.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This place is a perfect quiet oasis on a lush and remote island in the Pacific Ocean. Our room was fantastic! Very big, with two comfortable big beds, high ceilings, a great view to the ocean and on the pool area, a little balcony and even a small couch. While the climate was hot and very humid, the room was perfectly cooled down by the airco, and we slept very good. The staff is wonderful and helped us with every need - is it booking a restaurant, giving a short ride, ordering a taxi, and most importantly catering for our vegetarian diet. We stayed 4 nights and relaxed two full days at the beautiful and quiet pool area, while a dip into the ocean is only 50 meters away where there's a small and empty beach with calm and shallow waters. After two weeks traveling in Japan this place was our recharge oasis and we enjoyed every single minute while being there! We highly recommend this place if you want some quiet time off the touristy areas to relax and experience fantastic hospitality!
Cons: We liked everything! Just be aware that there's little public transport and you'll be best off with a rental car.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff was so friendly! Beautiful hotel with good access to a beach, nice swimming pool and very nice rooms.
Cons: It is a little out of the way (not that far) but if you don't have a car I would not suggest booking here, as busses are very infrequent. This is no way the hotels' fault, just so that people know.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Large rooms, cozy little beach in walking distance, friendly staff and great service.
Cons: Too far out, really needs a car.

Pros: Staffs are very nice and prepared the map showing the cafe and restaurants nearby. So chill at roof top, you can see so many stars at night. Basic bedroom suitable for budget traveler. Good location. 3 mins walk to Shiraho beach. And just 5 mins drive to airport. Quite and lovely neighborhood with a little pig and sheep in front of the house.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: I knew the staff would be great, but they truly exceeded expectations. They were incredibly kind and it was clear they wanted to make our experience on the island a memorable one. Very grateful for all their help during our stay.
Good 7.5
Pros: Shiraho guest house is a very nice place to stay because it is in a quite district, near to all beaches by car, plus there are two fantastic men (hiro and yoya) who run the guesthouse that will explain to you each day what is the better beach and place to see/discover. Thanks for all. I hope to have the possibility to come back soon.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: One of the best and friendliest guesthouse that I stayed in during my travels in Okinawa! They will really make sure that you know where to go on the island, and help you so you can get there. Super flexible and helpful, a great environment to stay in, especially for first time travelers to Ishigaki!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was wonderful, the staff, the place, the atmosphere)Hero san is very kind and helpful person!!!He will teach you the best place on Ishigaki so u will be have a happy memory of you trip!!! Hero san thank u so much, hope see you again!!!)))
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It’s not just a property They promote the interaction among the guests so making solo travelers to have good memories with new friends
Cons: They provide local secrets which general commercial accommodation do not provide. The deep and authentic spots are covered.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Hiro-san and Yuya-san go beyond to make sure you are having the best time on Ishigaki. They provide great area maps, recommendations and got me a cheap rental car! The rooftop is amazing for stargazing. Really lovel guest house!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Hiro-san and all the great staff was amazing! I booked by mistake a male dormitory bed and i got to be in a private room for the night :) The hostel got everything you need, the common area is so nice. You can do a yoga lesson with Yuki! Shiraho village in a very nice place to stay with great restaurnts and nice cafe in beautifull location. Arigato!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff are awesome, place very clean. They are lovely and very helpful. I spent only 3 days but I wish I could had have a week at least.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Nothing bad. Large room, Jp-style bathroom, affordable price for pick-up. We experienced a nice and unforgettable trip thanks to "Hero" さん, the owner.
Cons: A bit difficult to find the location. Probably would be better if there were few signs out there

Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly, and good location next to the beach.
Cons: The hotel is currently expanding quite significantly and our room was overlooking the building works.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: amazing hotel, lovely place to have a break
Cons: amazing place
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Quiet and clean
Cons: Rental towels for the pool
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff, complimentary valet parking, sea view balcony, clean and spacious room, pretty gardens!
Good 7.9
Pros: Clean, easy to walk around the resort
Cons: Wifi slow
Good 7.9
Pros: We were in the coral wing with the view of the sea. We usually went to the beach in the morning, lunch in the buffet restaurant, dessert in the lounge, And then swimming pool in the afternoon, sometimes a snack in the little shop. The hotel could provide all we needed for a lazy holiday.
Cons: The little stones on the beach are annoying when barefoot. The queue for breakfast could be long, we were not used to the idea of having to queue for breakfast. But then it is probably just for the peak season.
Good 7.1
Pros: Location. Bath products. View from bedroom
Good 6.3
Pros: I enjoyed the breakfast choices however their coffee was just ok. I liked the warm indoor pool. And their suite which however could not be offered to me until my check out and was reimbursed with points. To me it would have made a big difference if we were allowed to keep the suite for the entire duration of our stay especially since we are Ambassador members and we pay extra for these things but this is always the case with Intercontinental: they cannot offer an upgrade or will not offer for the entire duration of stay. Other than that...unless you have a suite, the rooms are boring and old fashioned. Everything is bland and impersonal. It is, as usual, too expensive for the standard but this is how it often is in Japan.
Cons: I didn’t like the beach where you cannot just walk or swim like on a normal beach...everything is fenced around like a pool for animals...it is discouraging already when you look outside the window and see the small “fenced” swimming area. Kids were everywhere...this is less relaxing...the hotel is a family hotel.
Good 7.1
Pros: The hotel was spacious and comfortable. The hotel restaurant food was delicious. There is a free public bath or onsen, segregated by gender, allowing people to unwind in the hot pool
Cons: Although i have seen reviews that the hotel was not value for money, i chose to stay there as it was my first time in ishigaki and I wanted convenience (near the beach, and one of the stops on the public bus line). But I wouldn’t come back to stay if I came to ishigaki another time. Given that it is located at Maezato beach, It would have been better if they allowed free parasols or seats for hotel guest as a hotel perk.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: quiet, peaceful,
Cons: long way to the visit any sightseeing

Pros: Staff very helpful. Big and spacios rooms. Good breakfast. Also, lunch and dinner are very good and not expensive compared to the restaurants on the island.
Cons: Unfortunately only one staff member speaks English so it is very hard to get anything done. The location is very bad as it is far away from the city or the beach and the only option is to pay 1500/2000 yen for taxi.

Pros: Nice service Very nice room Nice comfortable
Good 7.1
Pros: Very large, new and well-appointed apartment with all mod-cons - even a self-filling bath if you can figure out how it works. Staff were polite, cleaning service was excellent. Not too far - driving- from Ishigaki port for dinner etc but also in a quiet location. Lift up to the apartment perfect for families with small children in buggies or visitors with mobility issues.
Cons: Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable - this is typical for beds in non-Western brand hotels in Japan but I wish they had mattress toppers available for guests who don’t fancy sleeping on a rock- hard slab. Price was also very high considering facilities are minimal - nice apartment but small pool, no restaurant, no spa. ‘Resort’ in the hotel name is somewhat misleading. For similar prices you could stay in the Four Seasons - albeit not in Japan! We did book rather late in high season though, so value may not always be an issue.

Pros: The minshuku is situated in a residential area in the town of Shiraho, which has a quiet village-like ambiance. It is possible to go for a long walk on the beach from there (although not the most beautiful beach on Ishigaki). There are a few local restaurants nearby. Sachi and her husband are good hosts and their home has a family atmosphere. Breakfast was well-presented and delicious.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: After staying in central Ishigaki, I ended my trip with a stay at Minshuku Irayoi. The single room was pleasantly large, and the Japanese-style bed was very comfortable. The house has a homey vibe to it, especially with the dogs outside :) I enjoyed spending the mornings walking along the rocky beach nearby. I didn't have a chance to chat much with the hosts but they were very helpful and offered to post a letter for me as the post office was closed on my last day. Their English was great too, so no barriers there. I would 100% recommend the breakfast at least once during your stay! I'm sad I didn't get to try the dinner. The location is very easy to find from Shiro bus stop, and the airport bus runs fairly frequently which makes getting into town easy. If you're driving, even better. It was nice to be so close to the airport when I was leaving.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Nice and tidy place The host couple is very kind. You can walk to the coastal in two minutes
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great Place with convenient location, few mins taxi ride from airport. Spacious & Spotless Clean Room. Enough Facilities for everyone. Highly recommended for adding dinner + breakfast to your stay - yummy
Excellent 8.3
Pros: As dog lovers it was really pleasant to be greeted by the dogs every time we arrived the property. The owners were really friendly and open for a chat.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The hostel was very clean and the facilities fairly new. There was a washing machine available for guests, and a nice area outside where you can hang up your clothes. The room was perfect size for 2 guests and a lot of space to put our luggage. The dining area was very spacious. I unfortunately did not try the breakfast but it looked very good!
Cons: We informed the staff that we would be arriving early in the morning to drop off our luggage, however we arrived a bit earlier than expected. The staff (male) did not seem too happy that we had arrived so early. We explained we just wanted to leave our luggage and he told us to just leave it on the side anywhere. While we were sorting out our things for our day out, he told us that check-in is from 15:00 and seemed to want us to leave quickly. When we came back, he showed us around the guesthouse and how to use everything, however there was no explanation of what is in the local area such as shops, cafes, restaurants (which was important to us as we did not have a car), the sunrise which this area is famous for, or how to check out/make the payment. I have stayed in a different hostel in the same area where they gave excellent advice and explanations about the area.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Convenient! Lovely breakfast and helpful host. They are caring and give us the chinese map when I am reading the Japanese map that I cannot understand.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Friendly staff that are quite happy to look after you if you talk to them. Comfortable rooms and beds Provided home cooked breakfast also delicous
Cons: Location little far from main town but area itself quite nice.
Okay 4.2
Pros: -room size is comfortable for two people -one bus stop from the airport -close to the beach -sunday market
Cons: We stayed two nights in the appartment. Bad soundproofing in the room made our stay horrible- i woke up at 7am because of noize of guests from the other rooms, two mornings host wife started vacuum-cleaning at 8.30 regardless we said her how tired we were and wanted to sleep a bit longer. It looks like whey have their own day-schedule and don't care about guest's comfort.... TV in the hall was working all day and we also heard it in the room the room has no any furniture- only mattresses far from the city, far and expensive to get to Kabira bay, no big supermarket, one restaurant in the village. Place is suitable for one night stay no longer

Okay 5.0
Pros: Our bungalow was ok and spacious, nice bathroom
Cons: - definitely not worth the price, considering it’s rated as a 4*resort (??) - there was no service at all, no cleaning or even putting away the garbage for 4 days - breakfast was “self cooking” - the beach would be beautiful if clean, but unfortunately it’s full of garbage which was the only beach on the whole island like that
Good 7.1
Pros: It was quiet. That was the best thing about the place.
Cons: No proper housekeeping. We had to live with our trash for the whole stay. We have a baby so dirty diapers were in the trash as well.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Loved the room (we stayed in a villa)! Gorgeous and pristine!
Cons: we went during the off season so the BBQ facilities and restaurant were closed. If this is important to you, be sure to ask if its open prior to booking
Good 7.1
Pros: It was clean and the Bbq was nice
Cons: Beach is very polluted and dirty. Different way of seeing glamping than back home: very modern room, not really an outdoor feeling. No charm. They don’t have any other option than their “breakfast basket” where you have to cook your breakfast next to your bed (they give you 2 slices of bacon and 2 eggs). Very poor quality ingredients and smells bad in your room. Bbq is nice but lighten up by the staff with chemicals which makes it smell bed and not really a glamping feeling Very expensive for what it’s worth
Excellent 9.6
Cons: No breakfast. Little choice for dinner.
Okay 5.8
Pros: The location itself is super nice and really secluded - great to relax! But you need to have a car to be able to enjoy it as there is but much around it. For us it was great! Nice room size and equipment and also the outdoor area was great! Dinner Barbeque on the location was great - but a bit pricey
Cons: No room cleaning during the stay and no possibility to remove trash from your room bibs. Was advised about it on arrival, but that would have been great to know before. Gets very uncomfortable after a short time. Not ok for the high price of the rooms in my point of view. There is a beach but it is full off trash that has been washed ashore. Not the fault of the resort as this is from ocean pollution in general, but no clean up done either, which makes the beach not usable, not even for a walk.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great view friendly staff and ambience
Cons: We had a kitchen which was great but sadly poorly equipped if you wanted to self cater.
Good 7.5
Pros: Loved the bath.
Good 7.1
Pros: -provided lots of cooking utensils e.g. rice cooker, cooking pan etc in your room -large shower room -clean and tidy room -friendly and helpful staff
Cons: -a bit far away from ishigaki pier -no convenience store and restaurant near the resort, you have to drive at least 20 mins to the nearest convenience store -small and not clean swimming pool -no coins laundry

Pros: Friendly staff service.
Cons: Ants found on the bed and on the table, a very weak ventilation in the bath room.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Breakfast is good and with many food for choice, and other facility are also nice !!
Cons: main carpark always full, 2nd carpark need walk 8-10 mins for back to hotel
Excellent 9.2
Pros: You can relax in Swimming pool in the hot afternoon. Breakfast is also very good. The size of room is big in Japan standard. The location is also good while it is not far from ferry terminal.
Cons: The price is quiet high while this is the summer time
Good 7.9
Pros: We are happy with your buffet. Location is good, if you have a rent car.
Cons: If there is change machine in the laundry room, I would be happy. I wasn’t able to use spin-dryer for bathing suit, because it was broken.
Good 7.1
Pros: Convenience
Cons: Price too high
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Nice modern room, seems recently renovated. Large size compared to typical hotels in Japan. Free shuttle bus to and from the airport. Great scheme on giving guests a voucher to spend in the property if they choose to not to have cleaning service (also good for the environment).
Cons: The location is not ideal unless you drive. The walk to the port is 15-20 minutes and gets quite dark in the night. Retail / restaurant options near the hotel is limited.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Newly renovated, clean and good location. Facilities are enough. Food is good too.
Good 7.1
Pros: The hotel location.
Cons: No clear smoking area, should be more comfortable, as me I smoke cigars some time. You need a place to seat confortable, and be able to order a drink. Advised by the receptionist : breakfast is from 6:00-10:00. We arrived at the breakfast at 9:32....it was a problem. They did not allow us to enter the restaurant (with 2 kids). If you say brkfst until 10:00....all around the world, you are allow to enter the restaurant the latest at 9:59..... Here, at 9:30, the staff already remove all the food from the buffet. Inacceptable! Or you advise the guest that brkfst is from 6:00-9:30, then.
Good 7.1
Pros: Pool/Spa/Entertainment for family/crafts
Cons: Room carpets need cleaning or replace. Toilet seat needs replace or repair. Hotel cleanliness and facilities in common areas was a 10, but our room was a 6-7.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Hotel close to the port if you plan to visit another islands by ferry. Nice clean pool with towel service and pool bar. Hotel also operates airport shuttle bus, which is great regarding the fact the airport is quite far. No beach as the hotel is in the town, but has garden and two ponds with koi carps (very hungry!). If you travel with little kids, be sure to visit an amazing playground by the athletic stadium approx. 15 mins far (by foot) - it is really georgeous and without people!
Cons: Hotel offers double rooms with sofa and requests no extra money for baby crib. Then we were told the sofa is for extra money. But finally we made an agreement and hotel agreed not to charge us. Rooms are quite small. Breakfast room is quite overcrowded early in the morning, very poor ice coffee (on the other hand their kimchi was delicious). I need to say I have no idea why the hotel 's name is ART as there was no art at all :-) - except that ART SHOP without art goods.

Good 7.5
Pros: Staff is very nice and helpful. Location is good, just in front of Aeon mall and about 15mins away to airport.
Cons: Air conditioner is not working properly. Very smelly inside the room.
Good 7.5
Pros: They changed the towels and toothbrush everyday.
Cons: I have requested 2 extra pillows to be prepare in advance but was not entertain, I need to email and ask again. It would be highly appreciate if they can check the special request ahead of time so they can exceed the guests expectation. I also mentioned that we are celebrating my husband birthday but I guess they don't care at all.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very polite and helpful staff. They can help to make reservations. It is important to make reservations in Ishigaki for restaurants and workshops, and most of them need to be made by call and in Japanese, which is difficult for us. Excellent location with supermarkets, drugstore, Daiso and Edion nearby.
Cons: The washroom and especially the bathing tub is really small, maybe ok for ladies and kids, but small for big and strong men.
Good 6.7
Pros: 24 hour reception, big room with balcony, clean and washing machine only for us - even though you have to ask for the hanging racks for drying clothes Bus stop direcly in front of building is a big plus! (direct line to airport) Taking care of luggage after checkout is always nice :)
Cons: No dishes, no spoons, no plates, no nothing without payment. Empty kitchen unless you pay for it. No free coffee unless you pay 500yen (compared to other coffees that kinda expensive) WIFI was not working. Got a personal router only after complaining twice. (with google translate) Staff not able to speak basic English (with 1 exception) 3 electronic devices (Water heater, microwave & fridge) sharing 2 available plugs... so you gotta switch between Cleaning upon request (info page said daily but you have to ask for) No toilets on floors or reception area You can get a lot - but you have to ask for (they have lot of stuff in their staff-room)
Good 6.3
Pros: Spacious room. Location though not in the city centre, can easily be connected by bus. Malls, shops in the vicinity. Free car parks.
Cons: As I said, the room is spacious but the toilet is disproportionately small ! It was soooo crammed being inside. Further the shape of the toilet seat doesn't fit the wc pan - And it's pretty awful ! The purported free kitchen is, well, you have to hire the cooking wares at a charge of Yen 500 per day and Yen 100 in the ensuing days. Most disheartened is the erratic wifi connectivity in the room. It's perfect around the reception area but it is 90% of time is disconnected in room. Had talked to the reception of the problem but they just shrugged it all off ! The ceiling light is soooo dim. The lumen produced is in par with an AA battery light. Had asked for help from the reception but again received no help at all. No bedside cupboard provided means you have to put stuffs on the floor next to the beds ! All internal wall is of fair-faced concrete - looks crude and dull !
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Friendly staff and good location. The girl who helped us checking in is lovely and sincere.
Cons: WiFi! Quite awful I have to say especially during night.
Good 7.1
Pros: Convenient location with free parking. Next to 24hr Aeon MaxValu shop and a big supermarket. Good value for money to a family of 4 persons!
Cons: Found a small dead cockroach on the floor.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The room was spacious with lots of amenities. The hotel is right in front of a bus stop and a supermarket. There are several restaurants and car rental places within 100m.
Cons: The bathroom was leaky. I knew you had to rent the kitchen supplies, but didn't realise that would include the plates and cutlery.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff went above and beyond, especially with the language barrier. Free bicycles to ride for the day Bus stop right in front of the place Self contained, kettle, stove even! Supermarket so close by.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.3
Pros: In the main road between airport and Ishigaki port. Opposite to shopping mall with Aeon and other supermarkets in walking distance. There is a bus stop outside of hotel. Free parking. Spacious room for 3.
Cons: Small bathroom.

Excellent 8.8
Pros: I booked the Churayado Cocochan because I participated the Ishigaki Marathon. From the hotel, it is able to access the city center and seaport by foot (~10 mins) where you can find varies kinds of restaurants and convenient stores. The hotel provides basic needs for the guests. I like it it's quite environmentally friendly and doesn't provide towels and charge for electricity use for A/C and washing machine. (I think the other guests in the reviews didn't understand their purpose to do so..) The hosts are also very nice enough and didn't charge me more even if I checked out late since I had to do the check-out after the marathon.
Cons: Maybe it's better to write explicitly in the introduction on booking.com that 1. bring own towels, 2. have an extra charge for the A/C and washing machine.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: big shared kitchen for the guests. hole place very clean.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The bath tub is to comfy that made me felt asleep a little bit there.
Cons: Bedding could be better.
Good 6.0
Pros: apartment was available as a last minute decision, it has a lot of space - kitchen and three small rooms, quiet neighborhood, free parking, 10-minute walk to restaurants in the town center
Cons: All rooms are small, with college-type beds, with unpleasant bed sheets, you need to pay extra for air-conditioning, and for the towels, it's perfect for a family with children or for a group of 6 (young) people traveling on a budget but it was a bit too sparse for us
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The owners are very friendly and helpful. Their standard poodle is wonderful.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: the owner is helpful
Good 6.3
Pros: It's well situated near the Art Hotel, so it's easy to find and also to arrive by bus. Most buses stop at Art Hotel. The hotel is pretty basic, but it works.
Cons: You have to pay for the AC by a coin machine....never saw that before, and it's not nice at all.
Good 7.5
Pros: The bed is comfortable
Cons: The air conditioner can only be used when 100yens is inserted for three hours. Its quiet inconvenient when using it.

Pros: Nice and simple accommodation for a valuable price. The hosts were so friendly and even prepared a late dinner for us. Very easy and uncomplicated process to check in and out.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Very friendly host. We recieved some small welcome presents and the room was equipped with microwave, fridge and even a sink. The use of the aircon was free of charge as well. Bus stop right in front of the property. About 5 minutes by bus to the airport and 20 min to the port. Absolutely recommended !!! Domo arigatou :-)
Okay 5.4
Pros: Hostess friendly
Cons: Old house, traffic is not convenient, the room too many ants
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Met really cool guys while staying! Its a great, chill place to meet new people. You can use the kitchen, laundry and other amenities. You get a really great value for your money staying here. Also it's minutes away from a bus stop right on the airport bus line
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Was cheap
Cons: No curtains at the window
Good 7.1
Pros: Being outside of the city was nice, but close enough to get anywhere important. When we needed help the hosts were available and quick to respond.
Cons: Since we rented a car it was easy, and being on a bus route would help if you did not have a car, but not super close to amenities.

Pros: Very convenient location, and the host is really nice, he tried very hard to use english to communicate with us. The room is clean, wifi and air con is great.
Cons: Just the building is a bit old, and there may be some ants or insects in the bathroom or common area. But otherwise, the room condition is good.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The coolest part of this place is the main house itself. With traditional flooring and sliding doors, it’s really old. But please remember with staying here, this place is over 80 years old so keep that in mind. The AC works and the room was clean. Bathroom is Japanese style. Great location near the shopping area and restaurant. 5 min walk to Ishigaki port.
Cons: The typhoon the hit while here lol.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Classical style building. The host is very nice and helpful. Only the accommodation choice for staying at Ishigaki in the future.
Good 7.1
Pros: Very good price!
Good 7.1

Good 6.7
Pros: Good location and price
Cons: Tidiness
Mediocre 2.5
Pros: Room ckean with tatami floor
Cons: The reception, cluttered ... Bathroom area not cleanpoor sound proof
Excellent 10.0
Pros: very nice, old house in the middle of ishigaki. comfi tatami-floor rooms
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The host was very helpful and flexible .
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very nicely located with a short walk to the pier and many other restaurants and stores and had its own unique charm. The owners were fantastic and the lady of the place speaks great english and was incredibly helpful and kind. The room had an aircondition which was very good against the heat too, and the futon felt comfortable to sleep on.
Cons: A little water damage on the room wall, but highly understandable given the age of the property itself and the humidity on Ishigaki almost year round.
