Ambience, heritage and room were all great. Bed is one of the best - especially after 10 days on a gulet. Beyoğlu is a great area - locals, young people as well as tourists and easily to access art museums and heritage sites without the mass tourist throng of Sultanamet.
The surly guys who stand outside the front door, chatting to each other and block the footpath are an unnecessary element of an otherwise great hotel experience.

This is a top Hotel with a superb ambience and we felt at home there. Any criticisms may be seen as shortcomings on perfection. The Hotel location was good for overall position but not so good for proximity to noisy main high speed road which cancelled the benefit of the balcony otherwise it did not intrude.. When the patio door was closed there was no disturbance within the room. Excellent breakfast buffet in a well organised breakfast room. But no kippers! Excellent to visit to Ataturks room. It is great that the hotel keeps this memorial.
No internal dining room in summer. Dinner was served on the terrace but on the two occasions we had planned to dine there the wind was far too strong. We never dined in the hotel. Plenty of alternatives in the area. Extraneous noises did disturb the general quiet in the room on occasions mostly in the morning - never really worked out the origin - but I suspect it was something to do with making up the room next door. We did not hear habitation noises - conversation for example. The staff were generally as attentive as you would expect but you could sit on the terrace for several minutes before you were approached. I did get the feeling that some were not as well trained as others.
